Ruben know his stuff. I had an issue with the outflow of water from a Samsung 2-in-1 Washing Machine overflowing out of the pipes, and walked me through a solution for the overflow. After it worked, we started to see another sink in the house with water damage in the cabinet. Not being a plumber, I of course thought it was related to the previous solution. However, in one visit, he identified the true issue with another pipe which wasn't properly setup, then proved it was correct by leaving a bucket there for a few days. Sure enough the area dried up. After he validated the problem area, he switched out the pipes feeding water the sink, and it is now a week since and the cabinet has not had any issues. I strongly recommend that you don't waste your time with any other plumber, and that you call ahead to try and get a spot on his list. He's super busy for a reason (He's that good!) read more

We had a busted faucet in our shower on a rainy Sunday night in Jaunuary and I called nearly every plumber within a 20 mile radius hoping for a call back. Ruben called me back fairly quickly and was at our house in the time frame he promised. He was quick to assess the problem, made calls to all the open hardware stores to find out who had the parts we needed and drove out in the crazy stormy weather to buy the bits and pieces needed for our shower. It was a tougher job than originally estimated and Ruben hustled in the rain and up and down the stairs making sure no water was leaking and that everything was right. He even stuck to the original price estimate even though the fix was more challenging than originally estimated. I would highly recommend Ruben for his honesty, quality of work and responsiveness. I would strongly recommend Ruben for any kind of plumbing. We first had a chance to work with Ruben about a year ago, while we were living in Walnut Creek. It was around 10PM, when I came home late and saw the water pouring out of the main supply line. Ruben responded immediately and fixed the issue after working up until midnight. I was expecting to get charged some kind of crazy fees, but Ruben charged us surprisingly fair amount. We then bought a house in Lafayette. We soon discovered a problem with sewer line. Ruben was able to locate the problems, which was a massive blockade of the sewer line by a tree root. He had to use video equipment of finding the exact location and replacing that section. We then asked Ruben to replace the toilet and the vanity, which he again did very professionally and charged as very fairly. Yelp has filterd this review because they think I am a liar! They are saying that I am untrustworthy. If anyone doubts contact Jimmy at 7-11 on patterson in Pleasant HIll. He will confirm unlike yelp who just accuses you of being a liar without confirming. I pay Ruben for plumbing services and reccomend him to EVERYONE! My wife called me about the shower backing up at the house we rent. A friend of mine said to call Ruben so I did. He was there within the hour and within 20minutes had the problem fixed and explained what was the issue and what the next step should be. A few days later I was at a 7-11 store that I go to often and the employee there said they had a plumbing problem that another plumbing service had been there and was expensive and didn't fix the issue. I gave him Ruben's number and in a few hours Ruben was there and had their system working again. We were fortunate enough to have gotten a recommendation to use Ruben for a clogged sewer line. Not many plumbing companies/businesses have the equipment needed to snake a sewer line that's any longer than 50 feet. Most consumers have to use big business names to get that type of job done. We had called out two other plumbers prior to Ruben who were both unsuccessful at unclogging our line, shrugging their shoulders and saying they couldn't help our issues at hand. Of course it was the weekend and we were desperate to find someone that was honest and also knew their job. I called Ruben and he was out the same day (yes, the weekend)! He evaluated the problem and told us our options. He gave us a bid on each proposed job and didn't change the cost of the job as it progressed. Even though it was a very stressful time, Ruben was very patient answering all our questions and very willing to answer/clarify information that we might have missed. He gave us his personal cell phone number and said we could call any time we had questions. He never asked for any type of payment until the job was complete. I'm so relieved I know who to call if any plumbing issues occur in our household. That in itself is a relief and a reassurance.
