Ordered online, pick up was quick and easy, Great amount of food for a kids meal, oddly large amount of shredded cheese.

Ordered fish taco this is what I received very bad food over cooked fish will not be ordering from here ever again

Mexican Rice, Beans were small. Unfortunately, the lid of the M Beans came off the in the GRUBHUB BAG, resulting in SPILLAGE!!!

We ordered our food today through GRUBHUB, and the food was seriously cold. We live very close to this particular Rubio's Coastal Grill. I took one bite of the lobster taco, and I had some sort of instant indigestion problem. Moreover, If you're ordering anything, like a quesadilla, be prepared for something almost like hard cheese, when it arrives at your door. We also had a problem with the portion size of the regular Mexican Rice and Beans, less than a quarter of a cup for more than $2.00. Furthermore, the lid for the beans came off, and then went everywhere inside of the bag. Unfortunately, the GRUBHUB DRIVER didn't notice that this had happened. The whole meal was a complete loss!!!

It's been more than 3 years since I last ate at Rubio's. I got the Mexican Street Corn Bowl with steak and chicken for $13.99 and a soda bottle for $3.79. There's also a salad and salsa bar if you're interested! The atmosphere is very nice, and the service is great. Happy tummy with my leftovers!

This was one area but the entire eatery looked this way

Grossmont Rubio's, careless in representation to what I am accustomed to at any Rubio's across the state of California. It was 807 pm on a Saturday. Not crowded. In fact I was the only customer in line three other customers were dining. The issues were quite disappointing and I require a complimentary meal: Low quality indicators Taped and torn seating bench Floor and tables not clean Room temperature to cold beans, it tasted like the beans were getting prepared to be refrigerated Remnants of the bottom of the chip bag, crumbs Quesadilla was hardened around the edges with lack of cheese Really Rubio's? I know you can do better

Mold on my tortilla- you can't tell see it more clearly in person

Today I ordered Salmon Tacos for my mom. The tortillas had mold on them. I noticed on the second one This is totally unacceptable. The tortilla was green. You can't tell me the kitchen folks didn't see it. I tried to call the store but there was no answer

Seems like this place has gone down over the years.. Fish tacos were kinda cold, chicken taco was cold, but the Street corn shrimp taco was pretty good. The definitely needed to clean up their salsa bar. It was rather messy. But hey, its just Rubio's so Im not really complaining. I knew what I was in for and Ill be back . Lol

You know what. I wanted to give this place a try seeing how the business manager responded to my yelp. It's been about a month since I came by. I saw the bench has been replaced with a new and improved one and the place is looking alive and beautiful again. I am not disappointed. Thank you for holding your word and making a change. I respect you guys for not being all talk like other places and I hope more business continues to come your way.

This is apparently what passes for shrimp tacos.

Not only was all the food amazing, but the portions were generous and made for some great leftovers. My parents were in town so we were out to dinner together and we all got different dishes and each one was better than the next. The quesadilla was probably the best thing we had. Our server was attentive and quick while still giving time to be friendly. When they were out of a couple items for the drinks we wanted, she was ready with alternatives and always offered to at least double check in case there was something they could do. My dad even got a little preview of a new version of their Old Fashioned since they were in the process of phasing out the old one and were out of one of the ingredients.

This was my first time visiting Casa Gabriela. I saw the menu and it looked really yummy. The major…read moredraw was the Cafe de Olla. I had to order it. It came with a yummy almond galleta dusted with powdered sugar. The coffee was perfect. I dipped my cookie in my coffee and truly it was the perfect bite plus perfect treat as I waited for my food because I was HUNGRY! Our food took a while to arrive it was a Saturday morning at brunch but it wasn't crowded. The wait was the kind of wait you do where you look at the tables around you to see who has food and who doesn't and wonder what was the seating order of the folks around you and if they got their food before you and why. So when my food arrived I was sooooo ready! I ordered the chorizo and crispy potatoes burrito. It looked great when it arrived! I strategically cut my burrito about a quarter of the way in. I knew I would at least eat a quarter but I knew I definitely wouldn't eat the whole thing and I didn't want to waste a perfectly good bite on all tortilla. I cut my burrito and put a bite on my fork and as I put my food in my mouth I looked down and find a long curly hair. To say I was disappointed was an understatement. I was disappointed for several reasons. 1. The bite I took was all egg and tortilla. No cheese no chorizo no potato. 2. I was starving! And 3. I knew I wasn't going to have anything to eat until after the other two people I was with finished eating and I could go somewhere else to get food. I didn't let it damper my mood. I showed the waiter who was very apologetic and took my plate away. When he walked away. It hit me I didn't tell him to not bring me anything else because I was going to eat a remade burrito. So I got his attention because I didn't want them to waste anymore food. Here is what I will say. To replace my food, I was given a pastry platter that was AMAZINGLY good! The concha was legit the best I've ever eaten. The banana bread was delicious with delicious toasted pecans which added a caramelized texture to the banana bread! No joke, it was so good. What I will also say is that I was visited with no less than 3 people including Gabriela herself who was absolutely apologetic about my experience and assured me it wouldn't happen again. What's also nice is that I wasn't charged for the food I ate which believe it or not has happened to me before MANY years ago. My peeps whom I was with absolutely loved their food. One had the Sopes and the other had the huevos rancheros. So while I have to be honest about my review, I really think this was a one off mistake and at the very least I would highly suggest ordering cafecito and pastries from Casa Gabriela!

The tortilla can't hold the generous helping of chicken, which has a great flavor. By the time I finished the second one, and all of the chicken, onion and cilantro that spilled from the tacos, I was full. (I'm a senior citizen and I eat less now than I used to, so YMMV). I like their chicken tacos a lot better than Sombrero's chicken taco a la plancha, which has been my go to for lunch for years. That said, my wife prefers the California burrito at Sombrero, since the one from Chuy's had more fries than meat. The pollo asado quesadilla was very filling and very tasty (plenty of meat). Chuy's is right next door to Funky Burgers, and given the fresh food aspect of Chuy's offerings, I'd say Chuy's is probably better for you.

I ordered a California burrito and asked to swap in adobado pork. No hesitation, no side‑eye, just a nod and a "you got it." That alone puts them ahead of half the shops in the county. The burrito itself delivered. The adobado came through with that deep red glow and smoky tang, the kind of flavor that feels like it's been tended to, not rushed. Fold that into fries, cheese, and a tortilla doing quiet, reliable work, and you get a bite that hits all the right notes. Rich, bright, salty, satisfying. It's a simple thing done well, which is exactly what you want from a neighborhood taco shop. Chuy's isn't trying to reinvent the wheel. They're just making a damn good burrito and treating you right while they do it.

Walking into Panchos, you are immediately greeted by a bright, colorful and welcoming scene. It gives you the feeling of walking into your tía's favorite old school restaurant. The tables and benches are dark wood. And there is papel picado hanging. It's charming. You get the feeling that Panchos has been around for decades. Apparently, the restaurant has been open here since 2004. And the real star? Our server, whose name I cannot recall. He was equal parts waiter and comedian, a very kind man who was highly attentive and extremely helpful. If you like spicy salsa, be sure to tell him to bring you the good stuff from the back (after he offers you bland Tapatio). The menu is absolutely massive. They have breakfast burritos, breakfast plates, chips and fries, shrimp plates, soups (check with the team about offerings, like caldo de res), tortas, quesadillas and a kid's menu and more. I highly recommend the cheese enchiladas and the chile relleno. The chile relleno is especially good. It isn't your soggy, cafeteria-style relleno drowned in red sauce and regret. It is the best comfort food, and Panchos does it well. There is a generous melt of Oaxacan cheese, the batter is very light without being greasy. And then there was the ranchero sauce! Tangy tomatoes, a hint of garlic, and a tiny bit of chili. So very good. Also popular on the menu is a pitcher of margaritas, which you should plan on sharing with three others. The mango margarita is also quite nice. And they also have a Baileys & Coffee. And you can easily get a delicious, filling meal for $20 or less. All around, a great place.
