While getting over an cold, I had a hankering of some delicious fish tacos. On our way back to the desert, we found this store on yelp, which is surrounded by many other restaurants like Little Caesars, Panera Bread, Applebees, etc. We stopped by on a Sunday night and noticed a few other customers there waiting for their food. I only noticed about three employees working and one on break. One thing that caught me off guard was the cook refilling the lettuce into the container and then smelling the bag of lettuce, pause and then laughing while his co-worker watched him. The place was clean for the most part and some of the salsas needed to be refilled. I ended up getting two fish tacos and was disappointed by the end of it. The fish seemed to have been cooked more than once and tasted full of oil. The other Rubio's I've been to have never tasted like that before. I'm sure on a busier night, they make the food a bit better but for now, I'm going to skip this store. read more

Over all good experience for my first time here. I had the seabass bowl and the beef taco. Taco was really good plenty of flavor. Seabass bowl was filling and also tasted fresh. My only gripe was that I bit down on a piece of the avocado that comes off from the stem of avocado. No big deal but I could have chipped or cracked a tooth. But this also tells me they make great gauc, I'm down with that. Over all all good, I just moved here and I'll make it one of my spots for food since and single young wild and free! Lol.. My wife and I love the food here but the manager is complete prick my wife waited in the store for her food for 40 minutes. One of the employees gave my wife a free soda for waiting so long for are online order. Then the manager got upset when he found out and tried not to give my wife the soda that was part of the order. I understand times are tough but treating people who pay your bills like they are trash is unexceptable sorry but that was the last time we will be going here. read more

I've been here several times and never have I seen him just standing there or sitting behind an office, he's always on the floor helping and assisting his workers as well as his customers. I stop here for dinner every Friday evening. The traditional taco plate (chicken, fish or beef) is delicious and comes with beans and chips. I have been coming to this location just about every weekend for a few years now. The staff is fantastic. They ALWAYS get my order right and have never messed up my husband's either (which is particularly important due to food allergies). They're also super patient as I've ordered ridiculously specific things for my toddler daughter ('can I get this taco, but without this, this, and this, sauce on the side... and can you put it in a bowl? XD). I love the food, and have visited several different Rubio's locations, but this one is my absolute favorite because of the awesome staff. Even when they have new hires, I've never run into one that was even remotely unpleasant. Really can't say enough great things about this particular location. I love whole in the wall joints, but Rubios is my exception and a weakness. But if you've had their beans, you know they're mouthwatering good. Every time I go I always order the Gourmet Tacos combo. They include corn tortillas, melted cheese mixed with bacon---yes it's as good as it sounds---actually better--with grilled chicken, cilantro, onions a special sauce and topped with avocado! We stopped by yesterday for dinner. We haven't had the excellent experience we were used to with other Rubio's, but were in the mood for some fish tacos, and shrimp burrito. Well we were taken back to the roots of Rubios, with excellent customer service, the cashier, cooks, server, were cheerful and willing to meet our needs. My husband and I would frequent Rubio's often after a gym workout. Recently we started going out of the house more since our daughter is older (19 months). The food was fine... just what we expect but I was beyond disappointed they do not have restroom accommodations for babies. I'm confused that they have high chairs but no where to take care of their needs. There're are over 18 thousand babies in the Antelope Valley so I would think spending $200 for a changing fold down would be a given. I had to change my daughter in my car because laying her on the restroom floor was unacceptable. I usually stop here after my workout at 24 Hour fitness. I've tried the original fish Tacos, Cajon Tilapia both were delicious. The Tilapia is spicy good. Today I try gourmet shrimp Tacos... Wow another spicy one (which I love). Picture a soft taco shell, a very tasty an spicy sauce over sautéed shrimp and bacon, a few drops of onions s and cilantro also slices of avocado. I had to remove the avocado (not a fan) and no I don't like guacamole either. Regardless the Taco was the best. Also questions in the beginning asked if they had alcohol....I said no, oops They have Sangria and several types of beer for your alcoholic enjoyment..... CHEERS! read more

I loved the seafood tacos here. The grilled shrimp was my favorite and that red spicy salsa went so well with the crispness of the shrimp. This place had a cabana type feel to it that gave you a warm light kind of feeling. Carlos, my server, was very sweet and attentive which made the experience all the better.
