Service was wonderful and the interior is beautiful! However, the food was okay. We ordered the Cochon Benedict and the salmon Benedict--the flavor was just a little off, not sure if it was the hollandaise sauce or the biscuit (tasted almost chalky). They looked wonderful, though! We also ordered a Bloody Mary and a mimosa. The Bloody Mary didn't have any fixings but we also just ordered a normal Bloody Mary (it tasted great). I think if we would've ordered the Bacon Bloody Mary it would've had more stuff. Considering they just opened a couple of weeks ago, it was very good! I wanted so badly to like this place! The menu is great, so many options to choose from. No one ever came back to ask if we needed refills on our drinks. The staff for the most part seems unhappy and unfriendly. Our waitress however was very kind, until I found hair in my biscuits and gravy. I waited until we were ready to pay to let them know I found hair in the food, afterward she was short and unkind. I didn't expect my meal to be comped, or anything I just wanted them to be aware. Comically terrible food and prices. Four of us have worked high end food and bev for years. Two of us own a fine dining restaurant. We all met working at Blossom which used to be in this location. We literally are so grateful we ate here together because each of us as never had a worse meal. The avocado smoked salmon toast was inedible. Two of the meals were indistinguishable despite being listed as completely different dishes. The forth meal was the "winner," but still not in any way an omelet, which was what it purported to be. Everything is served on plastic. The plastic mimosa glass was warm to the touch upon delivery. The table next to us was covered in dirty dishes for the entire meal. Servers, instead of clearing said table, would just pile more filth on it. But again by this point this was hilarious. We felt like we were in immersive theater. Good news tho! I cannot say enough how wonderful this place was. Our server, Leah, was so sweet and welcoming. The service was quick and the food was amazing. We came for my birthday! The servers were nice but there was a hair in my food and my friends sandwich. Large enough for us to pick them up. The drinks are good but the food subpar. Amazing breakfast! My friend and I ate here for a week-day breakfast and loved it! The eggs Benedict were delicious; the eggs were cooked properly. The flight of mimosas was fun, but the traditional mimosa was more to our taste. My family took me to eat here for Mother's Day. I was a little skeptical at first admittedly. We got on the waitlist online because we knew it was going to be packed today. When we arrived, the hostess was very rude and abrasive. She didn't look like she wanted to be there and was very short with us. At first when I approached her, she had AirPods in her ears and was playing a game on her phone. Very unprofessional... I would think that since she's the first person a customer sees, the managers would want someone a little more friendly up there.... But we were taken to our table in a relatively short amount of time. The food was AMAZING and so was the service! Our waitress Jodi was very friendly and happy to answer any questions we had about the menu. She was even goofing around with our toddler and genuinely made us feel welcome. It was especially nice because she said she was a local and was able to tell us about a lot of other neat stuff to go and see during our stay in Charleston. The Sweet Heat Chicken and French Toast Bites was easy to share and the fresh strawberries were delicious. The Migas reminded us of chilaquiles but way easier to eat with great flavor! Visited this non-busy establishment on Sunday, May 1st, and was looking to take my wife and friend (who just returned from deployment) out for lunch. Parking was easy, location looked good, and we were greeted with warm smiles. The misery began after the 20 minutes of waiting to at least be addressed by a server. I got up and walked over to the bar and requested to speak with a manager. 10 minutes go by and it was not the manager, but our server (manager never came by). Our server was a very polite person, but his clothing of choice made us very uncomfortable, tight shorts that exposed his bulging genitalia, in our faces as we are sitting at eye-level. He took our order and disappeared. We ordered a flight of mimosas and because we knew our server was slow, not slammed, just slow. So we decided to let the bar know to make a second one as well. These were the worst mimosas ever! I don't know how such a basic drink could come out terrible. We waited another 30 minutes for our food to finally arrive and yes, it came out cold. Our server never came back to check on us, but being as hungry as we were, we just ate it. Downing cold food with nasty mimosas was not the way I imagined spending my afternoon. Our server showed up at the very end and didn't even tell us the bill, but asked for our card, so I asked how much it was and if I could look at the bill. Our server seemed standoff-ish as if he wanted us to pay and leave. The bill was $113 and I nicely explained to him that we were not happy with the food, drinks and services. I requested to speak with the manager, forbthe second time, and our server left. When he returned, he said that the manager gave us 20% off our bill. This was very upsetting, unprofessional and highly disappointing! If you're a Manager, you should have the courtesy of addressing the situation with your diners, not hide and not even deliver a simple apology and make it right. 20%?! What a penny-pinching joke! I will be expecting a full refund! Don't worry, we will never dine here again. Highly not recommended. read more

Don't sleep on this! One of our favorite breakfast/brunch spots - although it's not 100% as good or same vibe as the affiliated Ruby Slipper in New Orleans, it's still a really good substitute. Service was terrible. Our waitress was nice, but just didn't do a good job. We waited far too long for coffee & water refills. We ordered an appetizer that never came. We got our food but had no utensils. The food was delivered by someone else, and it took a minute to actually see another employee to flag down to get utensils. Our server was nowhere to be found. My side of bacon was delivered on my boyfriend plate. No additional syrup was provided with the ordered pancakes. Based on all that, they've earned 1 star. It was bumped up to 3 because all the food was delicious. We tried the pecan praline pancakes, and an omelette that came with breakfast potatoes, a biscuit, and some delicious sweet butter. The potatoes were perfectly salty, the omelette was exactly as ordered & very good, super tasty biscuit. The extra bacon was yummy too and my boyfriend enjoyed his pancakes & irish coffee. This was a Wednesday morning so maybe they save their better crew for the weekend? I'd recommend going, with a large side of patience, because the food was very yummy so I'd return. read more

First, the food I ordered was awesome. The chicken was tender and well seasoned. The biscuits literally taste like Grandma's. If you want good food this is the place. The wait staff is so pleasant and accommodating. Regardless of your reservation you might have to wait. These are my issues: the cleanliness of the restaurant. The host was coughing into her hands and touching utensils. The bathroom was not clean. In any restaurant you should expects spots on your glass or utensils but this was nasty. Later that evening, my stomach felt a so upset that I can barely drink warm ginger ale. I have no idea if this was from the food but I have to put this statement out. I just want to emphasize that the food I had was spectacular. I think the restaurant needs to focus on cleanliness and hygiene for their staff. Some may ask, why did I stay. First, I was invited as a guest. Secondly, after I mentioned the issues, some were remediated. I still felt uneasy eating the food and only consumed less than half of what was ordered. Had breakfast here this morning. We are visiting from out of town and had never been here before. Our server Ansley came to the table and fielded every question we had about the menu. She made recommendations and they were spot on! She had the absolute most genuine personality and she was such a pleasure to deal with that we had to let the manager know. I want to start by saying the food was great. I enjoyed my breakfast. The reason for my the poor rating is because we made it known before ordering that we would not like any pork with our meals. My kids and I got our breakfast after about 15 minutes +/-. My wife's food was the last to come out and when it did the sauce had pork. We let our server, Jodie know. She said she would take it back right away and have a new one come out. After waiting another 15 minutes or more I asked her if she can check on it. Turns out they made it and other servers were taking it. We knew this before because we saw the order come out and given to the family behind who came in about 10 minutes after we did. Jodie did try to make it right and took it off the bill and she was really good. But the face that we were there for 1.5 hours to eat was too long. I'd say the food is 4/5 and service is a 2/5. That's why I gave a 3 star rating. Coming from Orlando I did also expect some friendlier smiles walking in. You work in a high traffic area. Welcome your guests, be happy you're working. Stumbled on this delight during a quick weekend trip to Charleston. I'm still thinking about the delicious brunch we had there. The biscuits with their special butter were beyond amazing - steaming hot, crunchy top, fluffy inside. The French toast bites were crunchy and delicious and served with a praline butter that just added to the deliciousness. The southern BLT was easily the best I've ever had - crispy and delicious bacon, fried green tomatoes and ripe red tomatoes, and the perfect amount of lettuce and mayo. Ki would cover everything she possibly could from busing tables to greeting people Ki was nonstop the whole time we were there. Our server Sonja was the best!
