I am usually a fan of Ruby Tuesday especially because I love their double chocolate cake...mmmmmmm However, I've been to this location several times for business lunches. So far, I haven't been disappointed. The waiter is helpful and friendly. The food arrives promptly and the refills of soda are given without being asked. The atmosphere is casual and not overly loud despite the fact that a TV is playing in the background. One of the pluses for this location is that there is a covered area outside for big groups. If you work near the Moanalua Shopping Center and wondering where to go to for lunch especially if it is a business lunch consisting of a fairly large group, call ahead to this location and they'll accomodate you. read more

We went to this Ruby's because we had gone to Target and we were starving and in the area. I suggested Ruby's because I knew there's a few choices off the menu for our Paleo lifestyle. I ordered the salmon with asparagus and grilled zucchini and my bf ordered the steak and lobster with mashed potatoes and broccoli. It took a little while for our food to come out, mind you we were there around 4pm and there weren't many tables. My food was good but my bf's steak was overcooked, his lobster looked super sad (limp) and he said it was cold. He said the rest of his plate was also cold but he didn't tell me until after we paid and had left already. He said he was just too hungry to wait for another plate. The poor thing :( The service was awkward, it seemed like everyone just got done with training or something. They were very polite but I felt like I was in the twilight zone or something. Don't bother. The hostess was rude. She continually talked on her phone and made my companion constantly repeat details, like his name and contact info (for contact tracing), because she was not paying attention. She then slammed through the front door (she was a massive woman) and literally pushed people out of her way because she was trying get outside. No excuse for bad behavior like that. The dining room as an icebox. I was freezing cold and the temperature was somewhere around 60 degrees! The happy hour food was uninspired. To be fair, we ordered the mozzarella cheese sticks, the chicken tidbits, and the chips and cheese dip. All were mediocre. The cheese sticks were at least hot, at first, but lacked any flavour. The cheese dip was like Velvetta warmed over. We had to ask for more chips. And the chicken tidbits were burnt. I'd pass on this place next time. read more

Came here on a Sunday afternoon. Of course Sundays mean there's football on, but the place wasn't packed. Still, being the only ones in front of the hostess stand we still waited at least 10 mins: 5 min til someone even acknowledged us, another 5 min for them to clean a table for our party of 5. It didnt take long til our server came to the table and took our drink orders. I guess you can say that's the only good thing about our visit here. Once our drinks came, we were ready to order. Kids ordered either the grilled cheese sandwich or mac n cheese. I ordered the kalua nachos, no jalapeños or cilantro. This is on the appetizer menu, but I ordered it as my meal. The hubby also ordered from the appetizer menu, but he ordered the sampler. How was the food? Like I said, being sunday with football games playing on each t.v., you figure it would be busy. But that wasn't the case. There were several empty tables around us. The wait for our food wasn't so bad cause we were busy watching the game. So why does my nachos still come out just a level above room temp and soggy? Seemed it was sitting right under the heat lamp for a while till they decided to bring it out. IT WASN'T BUSY! Unacceptable! Although I was hungry, I didn't wanna return it--which meant they would take my plate away and I would have to wait for them to remake it. Hubby insisted I do, so I did. Waited under 10 min. for a fresh warm plate of nachos AND the manager comp'd it from our bill. Still, that being said, I was already over it and didn't finish my plate. Hubby's sampler plate consisted of their thai spring rolls, mozzarella sticks, something that resembled boneless fried chicken and some buffalo wings. He was utterly disappointed. The whole dish looked like it came out if their freezer. Overcooked (burnt) chicken, soggy mozzarella sticks, spring rolls that just didn't seem "thai". He obviously didn't finish his plate. How was the service? Nothing special. Came by occasionally, filled water once. Not much of a smiler, just someone doing their job and getting through her shift. Don't normally go to Ruby Tuesdays in general, so I'm actually not sure I'll be back. I actually didn't have a welcoming feeling going in or even leaving this establishment. Tick Tock Not sure if it was just the waitress I had, but it seems like other people had the same experience. I have never been a fan of "big name" American food places, but with a gift card to this place, I had to put it to use. Food It was ok. There wasn't anything very special about their food. Great place to bring your family. Service BAD! VERY BAD. After getting seated, our waitress seemed to have disappeared for 10 minutes and they popped up again. We got our water and it took her awhile to take our appetizer order. It took a while for our appetizer to come and when she dropped it off we said for another 5 minutes to think about what we wanted to eat for lunch. We didn't have our napkins or forks so we had to wait. 10 minutes later she still didn't come by and we were hungry, our appetizers were getting cold and we wanted to order our food. A bus boy came by and gave us our forks and napkins but he said he was going to get the waitress. By the time we were done with the appetizer, she still didn't come by. When she finally rushed in, she was seating another table and started taking orders from other tables. When she finally came to us we placed out order. It took almost 30 minutes for my steak and lobster to come. I sweat to grill a steak it's like 1 minute, and I got it medium rare. I am unsure on why it took so long. She was really nice and the food was good so I tipped her, but I'm sure I won't be returning to this one unless someone else plans it. Like I said earlier, go to the other if you want a better experience, wasted 2 hours of my life for lunch. I wouldn't recommend this specific restaurant. If you have a gift card to want to go to Ruby Tuesdays, I suggest you try their other location at Ala Moana. Maybe if im forced to go here again, my review will change. Easy to find in shopping center. Free parking right in front. We came on a Friday so there was a long line in front of people waiting. They said 20-30 minute wait, but we were seated in 10 minutes. We ordered appetizers, the triple sampler. That took more than 20 minutes to come. Our server was kind and apologized. My wife had the flat iron steak and I had the half rack of ribs with the mango Mohave sauce. The food was hot and tasty. It came a lot faster. We received great service from our server, Angel. He made sure to check in every so often to see if everything is ok. Our dinner for two came out to under $60. Overall pretty good deal. read more

Normally I have better service than I did yesterday. I'm a little disappointed because I had made reservation for 10 at 6 o'clock. Arrived shortly before 6, and was told that our table wasn't ready. Over the phone they mentioned that outdoor seating was available but if we wanted inside that we'd have to wait. I said outdoor seating would be okay. When we got there my father checked us in , they told him it'll be 45 mins before we can have a seat. I'm totally confused and upset because why do we have reservations if we have to wait 45 mins for a table. Why did the hostess tell me that I can have a reservation at 6 when when I couldn't? Upset with this situation I decided to ask the hostess what is going on. He ACTS if he doesn't know anything. Stares at his iPad which clearly states my name, date and time of reservation. He acted like he had mistaken the time for people, I just don't understand how your hostesses work? If you made a mistake please own up to it. Also, try to solve the situation instead of turning to your coworkers and try to avoid eye contact because you know you made a mistake. The girl who just came on was very apologetic and tried to help us out and find the best solution. Which I appreciate very much. What gets worse is when we finally sit down about 6:30, finally order our food. Our waiter tells us they're all out of ribs. I mean seriously?! One the after another. Makes me wonder..if we were seated at 6 would we have gotten the ribs? I don't know. I just know that hostess was the worst. What is the point of making reservations if you can get seated at the time assigned?! Totally unsatisfied with my service. Started horrible, and I have to say the new hostess working and the waiter were great. But once you have a bad experience unfortunately it has ruined it for everyone else. We could have made reservations else where where their food would be in stock and table ready for us. Walked in, very nice place. Clean and organized but when asked for vaccination I showed mine. I then asked to see the receptionist vaccination card he showed me but became very rude when I tried complementing him on his name. He then said I don't talk about people's information. Right after he asked me for my vaccination information. None-the-less I was very confused, just tried to have a nice conversation and complement someone but I guess I won't do that ever again. I recommend the food and the service but I don't recommend you try and be nice to the receptionist. read more

We came here without preconceived expectations..... After all, it's pretty much chain restaurant food right? We ordered a prime burger with Applewood smoked bacon. The burger was actually really good and cooked perfect. The fries were hot and fresh as well. We also had the chicken mushroom Alfredo, which was very tasty! The service was very good, and the servers were really hustling tonight. Location is good for us and there is plenty of parking. I've eaten here a couple of times over the past few years and I can say that the best thing on their menu is the salad bar and the strawberry lemonade. This location is usually packed but the servers are quick to get me seated and get our orders in. This review is for the breakfast that I had this morning at the Valkenburgh Ruby Tuesday location. It's the worst breakfast that I've ever had. The food was basically on the verge of going spoiled. I'm not a picky eater. I have a culinary degree, so I know what I'm talking about. I ordered the scrambled eggs, hash brown and corned beef hash. The hash brown was ok, not freshly made, its from dehydrated potatoes. I usually order my eggs over hard, but today I've decided to ordered it scrambled. That scrambled egg was horrible, it tasted old and almost spoiled. It's either those boxed egg types or pre cracked eggs stored too long in a container, ether way it was going bad. The same thing with the corned beef hash. It has a sour smell and taste to it. It's definitely not fresh and has been around for awhile. I was so tempted to send it back, and make the cooks eat what was on my plate so they'll know what I'm talking about, but the waiter was nice and the food was $9. I don't want to be all dramatic about it. I hope they label, date, and store the food at a safe temperature. read more

For whatever reason, the first thing that always comes to mind when I think of Ruby Tuesday is: Salad Bar. Correction: All you can eat Salad Bar. I guess the salad bar shouldn't be the main focus or what a restaurant is widely known for, but well there's not much else to dissociate Ruby Tuesday from other establishments, say Chili's for example. But at least Ruby Tuesday's knows what sets them apart from the rest as the salad bar is frequently mentioned in the menu from combo's to additions to an entree, to even your own server suggesting it. But let's move on shall we: This location of Ruby Tuesday's is located at the Moanalua Shopping Center, with indoor and outdoor seating available. During this visit for dinner, we opted to sit indoors. I thought there was going to be a long wait as there seemed to be many people congregating at the check-in podium. Turns out the host was just trying to get organized and we didn't wait long for a table at all. We were given 4 different menus to peruse: The regular menu with the appetizers and food entrees, the "local" menu with their twist on local favorites, the seafood escapes (the name is something like that), and the dessert and beverage menu. Well not being interested in either seafood or local flairs, I open up my regular menu and decide to order the Ruby minis combo, which is 2 mini burgers with fries paired with the all you can eat salad bar. My friend ordered the chicken pot pie combo, also with the salad bar. Now there's nothing really special about the salad bar, but at least things are kept neat, organized, and fresh. While I was standing in line during my first trip, one of the staff was carefully refilling vegetables and extras such as cheese and bacon bits. There are croutons placed at the end of the salad bar as a last topping fyi. As we finished our salads, our food arrived steaming hot. My friend and I were both satisfied with our food, while he noticed the sauce for his chicken pot pie didn't seem as "heavy" as the last time he had ordered this dish, which he deemed a possible attempt at a more "healthy" recipe. SERVICE: I thought the service was quite decent. The server was very polite and patient, and made sure to check up on us throughout our meal. The server and manager both stopped by with refills for our soda during our visit, which I appreciated very much. One teeny tiny slightly negative COMMENT: Being a ketchup lover, I wish they had ketchup bottles at their tables. Had lunch with a good friend at the last minute before I had got get to work at the Airport. Ordered a Turkey avocado bacon burger and fries with a iced tea. The tea was really bitter so we asked for lemons, the lady brought us a whole plate! Awesome fast service and very friendly. They have a mother's day drawing and she gave us entry forms to enter, cool I hope to win the $200 voucher. Food came fairly fast as it was really crowded in there. This place is easy for lunch. They do get a little busy and today although I went with a party of 6 we did have to wait a little longer than usual. The servers here are always nice and attentive. Our server got fresh refills before we could even ask. She was really on top of it. Seems like the menu changes from time to time. I tried the Bourbon salmon. It was delicious! I couldn't get enough. Appetizer favorites are the spinach dip and chips. Parking at lunch time can be a difficult as the navy welcome center is located right behind it. read more

Watching Sunday morning football here at Ruby Tuesday @ the Moanalua Shopping Center on 12/30/2012 with friends and having breakfast instead of running and logging miles was a new experience for me. It was a nice change of pace for me, since I didn't get up early enough to log the miles, but I eventually did in the evening. Ruby Tuesday is located near the back of the complex, so you'd have to walk a bit to get to the restaurant. Across the Jack in the Box and around the corner from the Starbucks, Ruby Tuesdays is a pretty good place to relax and eat. My friends and I got there about 15 minutes after kick off, but got prime seats to watch the NFL games on 3 screens. We probably spent a good 3 1/2 hours focusing on the Carolina - New Orleans game that morning, but we were also discussing playoff implications for Green Bay. It was a hoot and a half! The ambiance was conducive to football for sure and the conversations were epic to be certain. I eventually got the steak and eggs. Not to be rude, but the steak came out rather small. It was like as big as a sausage patty. I expected bigger, but what can you do. Big City Diner makes it bigger, but I guess a breakfast steak is supposed to be small? I don't know. The service was good and my friends ordered beer at 10am in the morning. How's that for awesomeness?! I knew I was going to log some miles later in the day, so I would save the booze for later on. Overall, this experience at the Ruby Tuesday here at the Moanalua Shopping Center was good, but not great. Food was good, but a bit pricey for what was put in front of me. Best bet is to not do the steak and eggs and get something better.Lesson learned. I would recommend this place for good times, good food, and plenty of liquor on tap. 2.5 stars, rounded down. The good news--they will let you add the salad bar onto an appetizer order. No need to overpay for one of the entrees just to get a discount on the salad bar. The bad news--this still leaves you eating at Ruby Tuesday. I have a friend who is partial to chain restaurants. Since it is easier for me to please her tastes than to ask her to please mine, I spend more time (and money) at such restaurants. It's ok. Takes me out of my comfort zone, which is always a good thing. I met my friend for lunch at Ruby Tuesday last week. I had not been there for over a year, and it was good to remind myself that it was not horrible. It just wasn't worth visiting often. We sat on the lanai, far enough from the road that we did not have to hear the traffic or smell the exhaust, but not close enough to the door to catch the eye of the server when we needed him. While waiting for him to remember that we existed, we watched birds land on the never cleared tables and eat the leftovers. See--lunchtime entertainment! Fun times, to be sure. The birds were a good distraction from our actual table, which was rickety enough that we positioned our water glasses at one end to help balance the plates at the other. The food was not awful. The salad bar was well stocked and fresh, and was the star of the show. The restaurant went up a (very small) notch for having forks, knives, and chopsticks available next to the croutons. I'm a breakfast fan, but I'm not a morning person. It just so happened I started my day early with some friends and we decided to grab breakfast somewhere close to the Arizona Memorial where we spent the day at. We arrived about 9am, lots of parking in the private lot and when we walked in, the restaurant was pretty empty. The staff was friendly, greeted us, seated us and served us water without a long wait. Our orders were taken shortly after and the food came quick. I ordered the eggs, Portuguese sausage, white (only choice) toast with a side of fruits that was made up of pineapples, grapes and cut strawberries. Can't mess up on that. Only thing was that my fruits was a bit tart except the grapes. It's a chain restaurant, so there's no wow to it. Place was clean, service was fast and friendly. Food didn't suck. Free parking. Friends and I ordered 4 appetizer samplers and baby back ribs. They were both good. I especially like the baby back ribs. It wasn't drenched in bbq sauce. They put just enough sauce and it was soft and tasty. It came with French fries and real onion rings. Our male server was awesome with service. The restaurant was packed but our server make sure that we were taken care of. If you want to watch sports, they have many TVs. It's a good hangout place. Parking is also plentiful too. I've come here for lunch several times. The food is your typical fare at chain restaurants. It's steak, burgers, salads and sandwiches. It's hot and tasty but many of the items are greasy and not so fresh. I'm sure the vast majority of items are reheated. I doubt anything is made fresh in their kitchen. The salad bar isn't really for me, but it is popular with other guests. The service is decent. I don't think I've had bad service at this particular location. It does get crowded at lunch time and parking is difficult to find. The food is overpriced when compared to comparable restaurants. This particular Ruby Tuesday restaurant could use a makeover. It feels like I'm at a bar, but they are trying to cater to workers on their lunch break, military and families. Came here with the wife today to enjoy there breakfast menu. I'll start by saying that the customer service was good. Even though I messed up on the type of gravy I wanted (yes you read that right) he was still apologetic. Since that's out the way, the breakfast here was disgusting in my opinion. I ordered eggs, hash browns, bacon, and biscuits. EGGS tasted as if no one had cleaned the grill. I'm used to eggs being of a bright yellow color and not brown. HASH BROWNS tasted like it had been sitting for a long period of time. The top was crispy but inside tasted funny. I tried to hide the taste with ketchup but I couldn't get rid of this unique after taste. (Yuck) BACON were old and on the cold of the lukewarm side of things. They even managed to give me burnt chips of pieces of bacon which told me that it's not freshly made and that they just take from a pan that's probably under a 50watt bulb. They say it's Applewood bacon but I'm sure that's not the case. BISCUITS were the size of the scoop of butter that are put on your pancakes. They were a bit on the hard side but doesn't taste bad. We dropped by to check out their Steak and Lobster dinner for two for $40, this is a special until the end of February 2020. This meal comes with a Caesar salad, steak, lobster tail, and baked potato. We added the loaded baked potato option for $2 more. For the money you can't beat this meal! The Caesar salad was a great start, the steak was cooked well and very tasty, the lobster with drawn butter was delicious. The loaded baked potato left us pretty filled, no room for desert. I don't know why this restaurant has such disparaging reviews, the food is good, service is prompt, and the staff is friendly and helpful. read more

My children have almost finished their lunch already. They look like they're really enjoying it. I'm so hungry. My wife and I have yet to see our lunch even after asking our waitress where our meal is. Oh mine finally came. Looks awesome! My wife is hungry still tho. Ok so both mine and my wife's burgers were raw. Not rare because that's what I ordered, they were freakin raw. I suppose they forgot our order and once I asked, they rushed our order.
