Worst place to eat dinner. Half the menu is not available and no Coke or Diet Coke. They have a new menu and I ordered steak and lobster with mash potatoes instead of rice. Which was an extra $3 cost. I had no problem with that but it took them an hour to give me my plate. Waitress said they are making my mash potatoes. The steak was not the way I asked for (medium well). It was well done and the lobster was so small didn't even look like legal size. I highly doubt not recommend coming to this place for dinner. read more

Tried this restaurant for the first time at 5:00 pm on a Friday. There were still a few tables open at the time but the restaurant filled up shortly after. They also had live music this night. I will start with a WOW. Outdoor, indoor, and private room available. We went to dinner on Friday night for their Prim Rib special. They often sell out by 6:30 - 7pm so make reservations to reserve your prime rib. They also have live music while we were there. The prime rib was excellent and the price is reasonable. The service was beyond excellent. The staff and the musicians were friendly. The band even said goodbyes when they left!!! I definitely and highly recommend E Ohi restaurant ! Waitress KELS was very attentive and very nice and helpful! She made sure we were ok and making sure if we needed anything else such as Condiments and always filling our water cups! We were sitting outside in the patio KELS found a table near the bar area and cleaned the table and ask us to have a seat inside which was much cooler and we were able to watch sports on Tv and listen to the great Hawaiian local music! The cook came outside and greeted us and that was very nice we thanked him for the onolicious local food! Thank you everyone at E Ohi restaurant! Honestly, I like the waiter there, was trying her best to serve us. Not a lot of people there yet but we waited for our food for almost an hour. The menu looks good but some on the menu were out. It was a bit disappointing. The creamy pasta was good but they were out of shrimp or salmon too instead I had overcooked chicken. After a round of golf at the Moanalua Golf Course, we met with my husband's in-laws for breakfast/brunch at E Ohi Restaurant. The quaint, casual, low-key restaurant overlooks part of the historic 9-hole course, a view of Kaiser Moanalua through the trees, and the parking lot. The restaurant is the second building past the course starter and clubhouse. We sat on the veranda overlooking the parking lot, where our friendly server, Billie, greeted us. She pointed out their daily specials posted on a nearby chalkboard while handing out the menus and took our coffee beverage orders. The front side of the menu listed breakfast, pupus (appetizers), and salads, and the menu's backside listed entrees, sides, and keiki (children). When Billie returned to our table with our beverages, we were ready to order the Golfer's Breakfast Special we heard so much about. Our foursome made it easy since we wanted the same menu item. Meanwhile, the clubhouse started to fill with others, and I noticed that only Billie managed the front of the house, and there appeared to be only one cook on duty. We sipped on our coffee and iced water while having a fun get-together and didn't mind the 30-minute wait for our breakfasts to be delivered. The Golfer's Breakfast Special was a typical local-style and filling meal, but we noticed a discrepancy on our plates since we only received one scoop of fried rice instead of the two as advertised. Nonetheless, the local-style breakfast special cost only $15, we received several coffee refills without asking, and we enjoyed the company of my husband's in-laws, so the wait time wasn't a problem. read more

My husband and I are always on the lookout for great keto options, and E Ohi at the Moanalua Golf Course delivered! We were excited to try the chicharon-crusted chicken wings with the vinegar sauce and they did not disappoint-- definitely a new favorite for us. ​We also tried the seared ahi. It was cooked perfectly and the wasabi cream sauce was absolutely incredible. The strawberry salad was a perfect compliment, balancing out all the flavors. The atmosphere was so chill and relaxing for a Tuesday dinner after work. The restaurant is an open-air, casual, local style place with Aloha-spirit service. It looked like a new gal was in training. Everyone was friendly and welcoming! I decided to get the Golfer's Breakfast, which included a pancake, fried rice, Veggie omelet, spam, Portuguese sausage, bacon, and link sausage. The veggie omelet had tomatoes, onion, spinach, mushrooms, onion, and cheese in it. The fried rice tasted like garlic fried rice, and it had some bits of kamaboko in it! I gobbled down the pancake first because it had a little crisp on the edges. I didn't finish my meal because a fly landed on my fried rice. This place has a full menu of lots of great food and you will have just as hard a time deciding as I did. I didn't know what to get because everything sounded great, and it really was (according to the rest of our group). Both times it took a zillion years to get our food. The first time I figured, hey, maybe they're a little overwhelmed, maybe it's a bit busier than usual. We had ordered a variety of things: salad, pasta, burgers. I gave them a pass. Ooh but this latest visit was something else. I waited nearly 40 mins for my one creamy lemon pasta dish. This would have been fine if it had not been a weekday and I wouldn't have had to get back to the office. But seriously?! Are they harvesting the wheat to make the pasta? Slaughtering the chicken? I don't know! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this dish and I want to come back and get it. And I want to tell all my friends about it. But what happens behind the curtain that makes it take so long? Ordered the stuffed cheeseburger and the server told us they were out of it. Ordered the loco moco. Out of that too - out of hamburger. Okay, went with the Korean fried chicken, the sizzling ribeye pupu and volcano fries. Then 5 minutes later the manager comes out to tell us they're out of the Korean chicken sauce! I think it was because the server was embarrassed to tell us they were out of something else again. He offered to top the chicken with another sauce. We agreed since the food was already ordered 5 min ago. The plates came and the Korean chicken had the same sauce as the volcano fries. The sizzling ribeye was overcooked, not medium rare as ordered - I wouldn't blame this on the cook - it's the thinly sliced steak they are using. Despite being out of almost everything we asked for, the lack of effort in subbing the Korean sauce, and the overcooked steak, this place was worth a second try. BUT every dish was consistent in having way too much garlic. Don't get me wrong, I love garlic. But it's too much when you brush your teeth and use mouthwash twice and it's still there. While my go-to order has always been the cheeseburger, which is fantastic, I decided to try the Caesar salad with chicken this time, and it did not disappoint. Can't blame the service. My first visit here and it was a mess. I really can't blame the service. There was a fair amount of customers but only two people working. One cook and one server/hostess. This caused a cascade effect that kept going down hill. The food was ok. It wasn't a large selection and you don't expect it to be since they have limited hours and they are located on a small golf range. I got the stuffed burger and it's a good portion. But man those garlic fries are good. It's like they were doubled fried and really crispy. Overall three stars. The food was average, location hidden, and service slow. But if you're looking for a place to eat after swinging the club around want to unwind. This is the place. I will be back to give it a second chance and really those are good fries.
