We enjoy this neighborhood restaurant even though it is a chain. My husband likes the salad bar with his meal, and I like the baked potato's and broccoli. There is a full bar, but we don't partake of anything but the iced tea and coffee. Friendly servers and great tasting ribs! This place is really rundown. I've been going to this Ruby Tuesday for a good 30 years although only a few times in the last five or six years. It used to be clean and run well, it is neither now. Many of the chairs are deeply dirty and falling apart and have been in disrepair for years. Two servers and only one other table occupied in the whole restaurant, and it took over 20 minutes just to get our order taken. Shameful. I had planned to get the salad bar but after taking one look at that sorry mishap, I decided against it. Fortunately, the food brought to our table was good, the only good part of the experience. Wow this place is STRUGGLING. Walked in and not an employee to be seen for about 5 minutes. Lady came from the back sat us, took our order, made our drinks, then bussed a nearby table. I think she was doing everything but cooking and I can't really verify that. She did a great job. The salad bar is shameful. About a third of items as in the past with no cucumbers, tomatoes, ham and croutons and bacon bits were empty. I had the catfish as well. Very low quality and muddy tasting. IYKYK. I ordered half rack of ribs they were so tough and dried out like they were put in a microwave. So I sent them back. They came out and said they are now out of ribs, so I can order something else no charge. So I ordered the t-bone steak. It was the worse steak I ever had super tough. Then when the bill came out the total bill was $28.98 my wife's meal. But at the bottom it said a tip of %20 would be $15.48 now how do you get that when they subtracted the ribs that I did not eat and the steak that was free to make up for the ribs. %20 of 28.98 is $5.80 I will not be eating there again. The worst service I've ever had. I've been going there for about 20 years and the other night was the worst night. It's been going downhill for a while, but the other night was by far the worst night. I will never be going back. The girl had a problem sitting us when there was literally no one else there at the time. she took forever with everything. It took so long to bring the hot sauce that all the potato skins went cold and by then there was only 3 tables that was including mine I will not be recommending going here any longer. Traveling from San Diego to New Castle, PA. I saw this Ruby Tuesday across the street and even though there was a sign saying new hours 11am to 9pm, this restaurant was very much closed at 715pm Not sure if it's even in business anymore. read more

Ruby Tuesdays in New Castle no other way to say it, sucked. @5pm went in, BOGO coupon in hand. Two other folks eating in the place. Order food, order two beers. And wait. Three servers are seated at a booth in far corner of Ruby Tuesday. Our waitress finally gets up, and retrieves our food. I'm guessing she figured after 15-20 minutes it might be ready in the back. The waitress brought the food to the table. I asked my wife to try her french fries. French fries are the worst thing to get in restaurants. They're so easy to make, just time the dinner to the fries. Have them come out of the fryer right when the food's ready. But it's usually easier for the cook to just grab a handful sitting there under a heat lamp and toss them in with the plate. Which is what they did at this Ruby Tuesday's. The fries were dead ass cold. And I had asked for hot French fries. (I guess Ruby Tuesday doesn't do special requests) Which is funny because the plate was hot. So the wife said fries are cold again. And I was looking at the waitress saying the fries are cold we asked for them to make sure they were hot. Waitress walks around the corner and goes back with a bottle of ketchup. No words, no I'll get you more fries, literally not one word. And that's when I got upset and said that's it we're not paying for these. I paid for the beer not the meals. I ask for the manager. So the manager comes out, John. No explanation no customer service skills no apology, no nothing. All because they couldn't get hot fries on a plate for THE ONLY TWO PEOPLE IN THE RESTAURANT WITH AN ORDER IN. Did I mention that? Four people total at 5pm, other couple were eating. So just me and the wife. You know, when I worked restaurant, it was great to be dead, and just really send out a great meal. Not so much what the cook and waitresses were thinking here. I wondered why all the buy one get one free coupons from Ruby Tuesday. The one in Austintown Ohio is good. I'm guessing too many Ruby Tuesday's like the one in New Castle Pennsylvania, so the main office is throwing out all these buy one get one coupons to try and get people to come in and eat there. I'm telling you that's not gonna work in this place. Where the employees don't give a crap. Were the managers just there for his Paycheck. And this place was dead ass dead. Only two people in there when we walked in half an hour later when we walked out same two people were there nobody pulling in to the place. Avoid this Ruby Tuesday's in New Castle PA like the plague. The empty parking lot at 5pm should have been a major clue. 3 other tables in the whole restaurant. Approximately 7:30 at night on a Saturday. Took about 10 minutes to even see waitress to take our drink order. I ordered triple smash burger. No onion or tomato. It came with all American cheese and that was it. Supposed to have 3 cheeses bacon plus other toppings. I am pretty sure all they did was scrape the cheese off throw a bunch of salt on it and send it back with new cheese and bacon. Still no other toppings. I haven't been to a Ruby Tuesday in forever. They changed their menu and it just wasn't the same. But the wife talked me into going with the family recently. We were sat in the bar area and waited for our sever. We wanted the Salad Bar as a meal but noticed it was lacking in freshness. We asked the server if they could look into it and restock the Bar. Now it was not busy at all. The server said she had been there since 10am. We both made 2 trips to the Bar to try and scrounge up a decent salad. The lettuce was wilted, cheese was empty, dressing was incorrectly labeled and the croutons were stale. No type of meat on the bar. Lacking in variety of options. No eggs - but hey, right now they cost way too much, so understood. The server never refilled our drinks. So without saying, form this visit, I guess it will be awhile before we go back. Walked in to this restaurant for dinner this past Wednesday and walked right out. My daughter and I entered the establishment and there was a hostess and server up front talking and we were seated. In our section there was one other party, an 8-top so it wasn't very busy considering it was dinner time and there were at least 4 servers walking around. We waited approximately 15 minutes and still were not even greeted or acknowledged so we got up and left while the hostess was playing on her cell phone as we exited. For a place that was once known as having superb customer service I am beyond disappointed and will not be returning to this place. If you want a sit down place in the area you are better off going to Los Amigos or Bob Evans or drive into Boardman, Ohio which is 25 min away. read more

Let me start out by saying I love Ruby Tuesdays. My daughter and I come here often and it's usually great. Today, not at all. Start out with the salad bar. The cucumbers were honestly slimy. They were a odd color with strings of slime coming off of them. Next, the potatoes in the potato salad were hard as a rock. So no salad bar for me. I ordered a simple sirloin steak and baked potato med rare. First one was well done. There was a wait for a table in a nearly empty restaurant. No employees moved with any sense of urgency. Our waitress was.... Awkward? I can't think of another way to explain it. Visited Ruby Tuesday on Thursday December 21st with my daughter and son in law. I got the 6 oz ribeye and went with the mashed potatoes instead of baked potato. Daughter got the salad bar and son in law got a smash burger. Looking back I should have complained, but didn't want to take a chance of sending back the steak and them doing something to it. I am 99% positive I got some kind of flat iron steak. It came out looking like a pancake. Not a nice thick steak like in their menu photo. Taste wasn't good. The mashed potatoes were dry. Daughter said the salad bar was pretty good. Hard to go wrong with a salad bar. The smash burger was "okay" per my son in law. Said it was kind of bland. I was REALLY disappointed because I was happy to learn they were actually open for eating inside. Not sure I will be going back? Sad because it used to be a great place to eat. This restaurant was disappointing. Not only are their prices too high, but the food quality was poor. I ordered a simple burger with bacon and fries. My bun was so soggy that it was inedible and filled with red blood from the burger, which I ordered well done. The fries were over salted and difficult to digest. When speaking with the waiter regarding the issues, she looked at my plate and stated that she couldn't see the issue, even though my burger had been pushed to the side to expose the unrecognizable bun. No offer to fix the issue was suggested so I paid my bill and will never return. I gave two stars for the cleanliness of the dining area and restroom. read more

We should have known by the empty parking lot on a Friday evening not to stop here. My husband's medium burger was like a hockey puck and my chicken tenders were beyond crispy- I was able to sharpen my molars on them. It had been over a dozen years since I last recall dining at a Ruby Tuesday. So long that I couldn't remember what I had or even if it was any good or not. I don't know you or how hungry you are, but you can do better than Ruby Tuesday. If you aren't sure and give it a go, it's just hard to imagine that you'll look back at the time, effort, and money spent here and say, "Yeah, that was worth it." The one star goes to our server, the only mild bright spot. The food was underwhelming and made me feel sad. Even the drinks (all non-alcoholic) were less than desirable. The $3.95 strawberry lemonade for my 4 year old was too sweet to choke down. Chicken noodle soup came to the table late and lukewarm. Portion was adequate, but I couldn't justify taking in more than I did. Following the soup, I expected to see a turkey & Swiss headed my way. It kind of showed up, but in the form of two silver dollar pancake-sized turkey burger patties (think sliders). I can handle a turkey burger on occasion, but think that should've been made clear on the menu. Most other items served were overcooked and lacked taste. After eating at the ruby Tuesday in Newcastle for a while now. I noticed about 2 months ago the portions have gotten noticeably smaller. Form the size of the mash potatoes they give you to the amount of soup in a bowl, which isn't even half way filed. We went there a week ago and I ordered asparagus as a side , not to mention it was an up charge for it . When it came to the table it literally had 4 pieces.
