The only thing was tomato soup was too salty for my taste. The broccoli and cheese cheese soup was also very salty. I didn't get very much other herb or spices from them. This place has really gone downhill, and I seriously doubt that we will ever return. Years ago, this was one of our favorite restaurants, but so much has changed. When we used to be frequent patrons, they had some of the best crab cakes I'd ever tasted, an outstanding salad bar, and two-for-one drinks during happy hour. Once they eliminated the drink deal, we visited less often, but we still went there occasionally. Then Covid hit, and they had to temporarily stop offering the salad bar option - completely understandable, but it had to hurt them since the salad bar was one of the best things they had to offer. The salad bar is now back, but that's the only positive thing I have to say about our recent visit. Last night, we were celebrating our anniversary and we decided to go to Ruby Tuesday, because we hadn't been there in awhile. Our first hint that we should have just kept on driving was the nearly empty parking lot - on a Saturday night. We started off by ordering drinks. My husband ordered one of their specialty cocktails, and I ordered a glass of Chardonnay. For our meals, my husband ordered the Chicken Tacodilla and I ordered the Coconut Shrimp Platter and upgraded my side to a loaded baked potato. A bit later, I went to the restroom, and when I came back I saw that my husband's food had arrived, but mine had not. The waitress asked me to clarify if I had ordered the coconut shrimp or the crispy fried shrimp. I told her it was the coconut shrimp, and she said that the kitchen staff had made the wrong thing but would quickly rectify the situation and I wouldn't be charged for the dish. Okay, fine. The coconut shrimp arrived shortly thereafter. The baked potato was cold, and when I dipped the first shrimp into the provided sauce, I literally grimaced. Coconut shrimp is traditionally served with some sort of sweet sauce. I've had it with a pina colada dipping sauce and also with a spicy mango salsa, depending on the restaurant. According to the menu at Ruby Tuesday, they serve it with a sweet chili dipping sauce. What they gave me tasted like marinara sauce and was incredibly jarring to my taste buds, since it wasn't what I was expecting. I asked the waitress what kind of sauce it was, and she said "cocktail sauce." I mentioned that it was supposed to be sweet chili, and she said, "I don't know why they don't change that on the menu. We haven't had sweet chili sauce for a long time." I couldn't eat it like that, and I said so. She apologized. I then reminded her that I had ordered a second glass of wine some time ago. She had clearly forgotten it, but she tried to pass it off as being someone else's mistake. My husband's entree was barely edible. I don't know exactly what a chicken tacodilla is, but it sounds Mexican or Mexican-inspired. Oddly, the sauce they used tasted like Thousand Island dressing, giving the whole meal a weird dill pickle flavor. While I was waiting for my drink, someone from the kitchen came out and handed me a little container of sweet chili sauce - you know, the sauce that they hadn't had for "a long time." At this point, my husband had finished as much of his awful entree as he could stand, and all I wanted was to go home and make myself a grilled cheese sandwich or something. In the meantime, our waitress had pretty much stopped paying any attention to us or checking on us in any way. Then suddenly we saw her wandering from table to table carrying a baby. I guess someone had brought her baby in, and she felt that everyone in the restaurant needed to meet this kid. She went to every table (all three or four of the tables that were occupied, that is), and showed off this baby, while we, and probably everyone else in the place, just wanted her to do her job instead of inflicting her fifteen-minute baby break on all of the patrons. I ate two shrimp and asked for a to-go box. I just wanted to get out of there. Never again. read more

So we wanted to eat somewhere we haven't eaten yet and with coupons available we chose Ruby Tuesday on a Wednesday night. All I can say is we made the right decision. It's my first time to have an open salad bar and we liked it. It's a good deal I think for that salad because it's just an additional $3 if you order an entree. The service is good but I don't know if it's the same if the place is packed. The food is Ok, I had a Parmesan Shrimp Pasta and for the price I'm so satisfied with the amount of shrimp in the plate. Went here at 5pm on a sunday night. The place maybe had 3 tables with patrons. The host didnt even talk to us, was super awkward, and led us to the table that had a dirty wash rag on it. Slowly puts the menus on the table and walks away. Waitress comes after about 5 minutes and offers drinks. Fine. Comes back 5 minutes later and we ask about the BOGO coupon. She seems to not have a clue what it is and tells us as long as we split the bill each party can get the coupon. She takes our order, comes back with our appetizer soon after. Great. Then she disappears for the next 20-30 minutes while we're waiting for refills on our waters. She comes back after 30 minutes and we ask for more water. Leaves for the next 10-15 minutes and forgets our refills. When we ask about refills she explains how busy it is that she is acting as a bartender, customer service on the phones, and waitressing. Ok. All the meanwhile the host is awkwardly walking up and down the walkway doing nothing, there's another waitress walking around doing not much either, and the restaurant still wasn't busy at all. Nor did we see many cars in and out of the pick up lane. Could have been out of there within an hour, but the lack of acknowledgement from the staff meant we were there for longer than necessary. Also got the check messed up, so that took another 20 minutes to deal with. Food was ok. Nothing special. They need a new staff before I'll be back. read more

We went for a late lunch around 3 PM on New Years Day, it wasn't very busy, so we were seated right away. The establishment was clean & our server, Meredith greeted us right away. We were too late for the lunch menu, but we ordered two burger meals & the salad bar. The burgers were good, but what I liked most is their salad bar. Everything was fresh, the lettuce was crisp, & the tomatoes were bright red (not like the pale ones I've been seeing lately at Subway). There were good selections, & they have the real chopped bacon pieces, which I love on my salad! Their sweet tea is pretty tasty too. :) Although Meredith was nice, she seemed a bit flustered & in a rush, even with the small number of people that were dining in the restaurant. I'd never been to Ruby Tuesday before that but had noticed their locations dropping like flies around the area, I see why now, and expect this one will join them before long. Also thought prices were high for the quality of food; higher than similar chains and you can get a much better burger for a cheaper price elsewhere. Husband got salad bar and triple play (ribs, chicken fingers, fried shrimp and fries). Salad bar was decent (maybe 3 out of 5). Attached a picture of my leftover entree which was everything except 2 bites of chicken (disregard sweet potatoes-added those at home). Added hand for size reference of the chicken breast. Baby Bella's we're absolutely trash. Overcooked. Definitely not roasted. No flavor. Disgusting. Zucchini didn't really have any flavor. Husbands fries were scant, and old. Ribs were from smallest pig ever. Chicken tenders tasted like they were fried in oil from pre-pandemic. And shrimp, well, I've had better at LJS. The whole experience was severely disappointing. And cost is $75 for 2 people (2 HH drinks, 2 entrees w/2 salad bars added) - ridiculously overpriced. We won't be back. And maybe this is why RT is closing up. read more

We ordered two meals to-go. Two problems with this visit. The ordered wasn't filled until 20 minutes after the promised time and they shorted us a salad. But, this isn't the first time we've had problems with this restaurant. A couple months ago we placed another bogo order. Because of a mixup on the receipt, I had paid the full price. The manager said he couldn't give cash back since we'd paid with a credit card...but he'd credit my credit card. That credit never appeared. So I usually stay as clear as I can from chain restaurants. Ruby Tuesday is one my favorite restaurants out of all the chain restaurants. This location has always been my least favorite and this week made it the last straw. (Take not that there was about 10 tables full for the whole restaurant.) We waited five minutes before anyone even noticed us. Then after we sat there was ten minutes before our waitress came. When she did come, she ran off before we could order beers. Then after we ordered (still no beer) and our food wasn't very warm. She almost ran off again without even giving us silverware. Oh and my loaded baked potato was discusting. If you go, ask for J.T.--he's awesome! He seriously cracked us up! Also the lobster tails aren't bad. I am not usually a fan of chain restaurants but Ruby Tuesday is alright. I usually just come here for Sean who only prefers chains. He is the king of chain restaurant burgers and he claims Ruby Tuesday has one of the best besides Red Robin and Chile's. I didn't believe him but then I had a bite and it was pretty good. I still like the Longhorn burger better in the way of chain burgers. I don't much care for Ruby Tuesday's steaks, they're always overcooked even when I ask for medium rare. Longhorn also does a better steak in my opinion. But the mixed drinks here are pretty good. My wife and I have not been to Ruby Tuesday in over six months because we were not happy with our last meal. We went to the Mid Rivers store last night and were very pleased and surprised. Had a nice greeting as we came in. We were seated right away. Our server (John) greeted us and was very nice and polite. He took care of our every need, as we never had to ask or wait for anything. Our meal was excellent. We had the New Orleans Seafood meal and the fish and shrimp were cooked perfect. The fish was a much larger size than our last meal. The food here is super mediocre and overpriced. I've definitely had worse food, but the food was not great. The only good thing I can say about the food is that I received it when it was piping hot.
