Found a chocolate store that had this on memorial Day holidays and very happy we managed to get some good ones. The store itself is so aesthetically pleasing and very cute! Lovely decor and very picturesque like you could just sit down there for a bit and hang out with some girlfriends. The lady running the store also was very friendly and kind. She explained all the different types of items they have that were the chocolate peanut butter thdnet, with a lot of appealing options. But we ended up just going for the classic buckeye balls. As far as the taste - phenomenal! The chocolate and peanut butter flavor went perfectly well together and they were not too sweet or peanut buttery or anything. Everything was perfectly balanced. So I may not frequent this location, I was very happy to hear of the other location in my area. I got to check out rubys chocolates at a recent Yelp event and loved everything they have to offer! Rubys chocolates can also be found in jungle Jim's and a variety of stores in Cincinnati. We tasted a chocolate truffle, pumpkin truffle, salted pecan turtle and buckeye. All were so delicious and devoured in seconds. For hubby I grabbed a red velvet and pumpkin truffle and got some choc caramel pretzels (owner called them Twix on steroids haha) to try for later! Ruby's is the reason why I've gained so much weight this year... jokes aside you seriously need to try their truffles. I've been supporting them since they first opened up their Oakley location. Every single time I've gone Ali has helped me and he's great! He always provides the best customer service and is willing to answer all my questions ( thanks for recently dealing with me while I was selecting gifts to ship to my relatives for Christmas! I know I was very sporadic and kept changing my mind so I appreciate your patience). Anyway I have tried their joy sticks, PMS treats, truffle cakes and hot chocolate bombs. They may not be cheap, but you can definitely tell all their products are made with a high quality chocolate. I absolutely LOVE THEIR CAKE TRUFFLES. I am a diehard dark chocolate and milk chocolate fan. I've tried their carrot cake, blackrasberry cheesecake, pumpkin spice, cookies and cream, maple bacon, birthday cake, tuxedo, peanut butter, cookie dough pistachio, cashew chocolate and etc. (almost their whole menu lol) cake truffles. Every single one was delicious but the tuxedo and cookies and cream are my absolute favorites. They are not too sweet, have a velvety texture and taste very chocolatey. Absolutely delicious!! I also love their joy sticks, they make one that I believe is called their buckeye version and it is the best chocolate covered pretzel I've ever had! I bought several of them for my family members to try because they are perfect. They are not too sweet and have the perfect level of salt that makes them taste balanced. The most recent product I've tried is their hot chocolate bomb! It was their dark chocolate one that came with little malt balls. Yes they are expensive, but are worth it and I'm sure they are quite labor intensive to make. It wasn't too sweet and melted perfectly when I poured milk over it. Even my boyfriend who complains that the hot chocolate he has tried tastes always too sweet and don't taste chocolatey enough, thought their hot chocolate bomb tasted amazing. I could not resist and already purchased another to have again! If you haven't tried one of their treats yet you must! They also make the perfect gifts and they will make sure to give you cute gift boxes if you tell them you plan on giving them as a gift for no extra charge. I went out of my way to get some of these delicious truffles. I first tried one of Ruby's truffles at the Cincinnati Food and Wine Festival. I might have been one of those people who had 3 samples (sorry, not sorry). Later in the event I went back for more and was sad to learn that they were out. But, I recently found out they had a store in Oakley and went that day. First of all this store is super cute. There is a sitting area for you to sit and enjoy your goods. It also is a good place for a quick photo op with the "Here Comes Truffle" sign behind you. Ok, here comes the food stuff. I practically ordered the whole store. My order consisted of the, get ready for it .... the bacon brownie truffle. Yes, that's a thing. The red velvet truffle, cookies and cream truffle, and the carrot cake phatty cake (which I do believe is only offered at the Oakley location). It was tough to only limit myself to these items but I did it! All of them...I repeat all of them were soooooo good! Moist delicious and that bacon brownie truffle is a thing of beauty. I went with a customized box of six cake truffles that I was able to DoorDash! Truffle flavors come in everything from Bacon Brownie to Sea Salt Caramel Cashew. I first saw Ruby's Chocolates at Martha Stewart's Food & Wine Festival in October 2019 in Cincinnati. They were featuring their Red Velvet and Turtle Cake Truffles. They were amazing, so I figured I had to actually go by their location. At the time it was in Fairfield which wasn't far from my house. Since then, they have now moved to this new location in Oakley. It is supppperrr cute! It's like the real life Candy Land! I first met Ali, his mother, and brother at their old location. They are all awesome and gave amazing customer service. At this location, it is no different. Ali, was here the day I stopped by. He is always super sweet and helpful. He also always throws in extra goodies at no charge. This business is ran by amazing people giving great customer service. From their first location to this one, I have tried quite a bit of their products. I have had their cake truffles, chocolate covered Oreos, and regular chocolate in different shapes. All are very yummy! My fav are the chocolate covered cake truffles. I have tried Red Velvet, Key Lime, Turtle, Maple Bacon, Cookies and Cream, Chocolate, Birthday Cake, and Carrot Cake. All of them were good and of course lend a different flavor. I'm not a big Key Lime fan but believe it or not, it was very good! They are all tender and moist on the inside with a chocolate outer shell. My favorite is probably Key Lime and Carrot Cake. I'm normally a huge Red Velvet fan, but something about the Key Lime & Carrot Cake stood out to me more. The Cookies & Cream was also very good. The Maple Bacon was good and different. My 3 year-old's favorite was of course the Birthday Cake. My husband rocks with Cookies & Cream. I always get the minis but they do have jumbo ones. One or two of the jumbo ones or a set of the minis would be a nice gift for someone. I will be honest, while they are good they are rich. They store well in the fridge. We take small bites out of them just for a sweet fix and put them back. Overall, Ruby's Chocolates has amazing customer service and good chocolate treats. He shared the story and inspiration behind the quaint and absolutely adorable place. Now for the chocolate. I had a pecan pie truffle cake and a chocolate covered cookie peanut item. I do not remember exactly what is was called but I can tell you I'd eat it every day. It was so delicious. When I go back I'll be sure to get the name memorized. I'm so glad Ruby's Chocolates opened up in Oakley Square a couple months ago! They have the best truffles in town (birthday cake and maple bacon are my favorite and my boyfriend's favorite is pistachio, but they're all delicious). They also have plenty of other sweets and you've got to try the Phatty Cakes, especially the Pistachio cake. I was surprised just how good their pretzel sticks are as I usually don't order those, but so glad I tried one because theirs are addicting. Love this addition to Oakley! This chocolate is soooo cute! It's tiny but packed with a lot of chocolates and treats. They are known for their truffles and I love that they offer each flavor in two sizes. My favorite treat are the Oh-Mys - chocolate covered Ritz crackers sandwiches - I love the salty & sweet combo. The Joy Sticks are great too, they look like regular chocolate-dipped pretzel rods but there is a layer of caramel in between the chocolate and the pretzel! They also have these things called Phatty Cake (the kind of look like a cupcake sandwich), and I haven't tried one yet but I'm definitely going to next time I go back! read more

Note: this review was written under the influence of a chocolate high. Received some truffles as a gift yesterday. All were excellent but, mhmmm, the triple chocolate truffle is hands down the best chocolate truffle I've ever eaten (and I've had a lot in my life!). What I particularly like is that it wasn't too sweet and had great balance so the chocolate wasn't too bitter. I've got to get in there and see what else they have! (Could they possibly have chocolate bark that would rival Aglamesis?!). They're tucked away just off Madison so it may take a minute to find it if you're unfamiliar with the area and if they're busy parking may be a challenge but really, with chocolate this good, I'd walk a block or two!
