I got to check out rubys chocolates at a recent Yelp event and loved everything they have to offer! Rubys chocolates can also be found in jungle Jim's and a variety of stores in Cincinnati. We tasted a chocolate truffle, pumpkin truffle, salted pecan turtle and buckeye. All were so delicious and devoured in seconds. For hubby I grabbed a red velvet and pumpkin truffle and got some choc caramel pretzels (owner called them Twix on steroids haha) to try for later! Also grabbed a milk choc turtle ;) This is a perfect spot to get holiday treats for co-workers or holiday party hosts. They have fun Halloween and bengals themed items right now!

Tasty truffles! Very authentic tastes - the pumpkin tastes like actual pumpkin pie and the double chocolate is a brownie bite. The pretzel sticks with carmel were recommended by the owner and they didn't disappoint - Twix on a stick. Lots of cute options and they will make to order for your special occasions (weddings, showers, work parties). Support local! Mom and son stores named for Grandma

I had a chance to try the birthday cake truffle. It's literally like a cake pop on steroids. If you like Starbucks'cake pops, you will be in love at first bite.

Utterly delicious! If you've always enjoyed the traditional cake pop, then look no further because Ruby's takes their truffles to a whole new level! I was introduced to Ruby's through a Yelp Elite Chocolate Tasting and it was fantastic. We learned about the history and the store is adorable and has a whole range of chocolate offerings. I took some to go and ate them on my way home!

I went out of my way to get some of these delicious truffles. I first tried one of Ruby's truffles at the Cincinnati Food and Wine Festival. I might have been one of those people who had 3 samples (sorry, not sorry). Later in the event I went back for more and was sad to learn that they were out. But, I recently found out they had a store in Oakley and went that day. First of all this store is super cute. There is a sitting area for you to sit and enjoy your goods. It also is a good place for a quick photo op with the "Here Comes Truffle" sign behind you. Ok, here comes the food stuff. I practically ordered the whole store. My order consisted of the, get ready for it .... the bacon brownie truffle. Yes, that's a thing. The red velvet truffle, cookies and cream truffle, and the carrot cake phatty cake (which I do believe is only offered at the Oakley location). It was tough to only limit myself to these items but I did it! All of them...I repeat all of them were soooooo good! Moist delicious and that bacon brownie truffle is a thing of beauty. If calories weren't a thing, I could have eaten at least 20 of them. I can't wait to go back, I'm already thinking of my order.

I first saw Ruby's Chocolates at Martha Stewart's Food & Wine Festival in October 2019 in Cincinnati. They were featuring their Red Velvet and Turtle Cake Truffles. They were amazing, so I figured I had to actually go by their location. At the time it was in Fairfield which wasn't far from my house. Since then, they have now moved to this new location in Oakley. It is supppperrr cute! It's like the real life Candy Land! I first met Ali, his mother, and brother at their old location. They are all awesome and gave amazing customer service. At this location, it is no different. Ali, was here the day I stopped by. He is always super sweet and helpful. He also always throws in extra goodies at no charge. This business is ran by amazing people giving great customer service. From their first location to this one, I have tried quite a bit of their products. I have had their cake truffles, chocolate covered Oreos, and regular chocolate in different shapes. All are very yummy! My fav are the chocolate covered cake truffles. I have tried Red Velvet, Key Lime, Turtle, Maple Bacon, Cookies and Cream, Chocolate, Birthday Cake, and Carrot Cake. All of them were good and of course lend a different flavor. I'm not a big Key Lime fan but believe it or not, it was very good! They are all tender and moist on the inside with a chocolate outer shell. My favorite is probably Key Lime and Carrot Cake. I'm normally a huge Red Velvet fan, but something about the Key Lime & Carrot Cake stood out to me more. The Cookies & Cream was also very good. The Maple Bacon was good and different. My 3 year-old's favorite was of course the Birthday Cake. My husband rocks with Cookies & Cream. I always get the minis but they do have jumbo ones. One or two of the jumbo ones or a set of the minis would be a nice gift for someone. I will be honest, while they are good they are rich. They store well in the fridge. We take small bites out of them just for a sweet fix and put them back. Overall, Ruby's Chocolates has amazing customer service and good chocolate treats. This place is good for gifts for friends or family depending on the occasion. Definitely give them a try!

I'm so glad Ruby's Chocolates opened up in Oakley Square a couple months ago! They have the best truffles in town (birthday cake and maple bacon are my favorite and my boyfriend's favorite is pistachio, but they're all delicious). They also have plenty of other sweets and you've got to try the Phatty Cakes, especially the Pistachio cake. I was surprised just how good their pretzel sticks are as I usually don't order those, but so glad I tried one because theirs are addicting. Best of all, the owners are a mom and son team who are very kind, personable and take pride in selling delicious and innovative chocolates. It's a great local business to support.

Love this addition to Oakley! This chocolate is soooo cute! It's tiny but packed with a lot of chocolates and treats. They are known for their truffles and I love that they offer each flavor in two sizes. My favorite treat are the Oh-Mys - chocolate covered Ritz crackers sandwiches - I love the salty & sweet combo. The Joy Sticks are great too, they look like regular chocolate-dipped pretzel rods but there is a layer of caramel in between the chocolate and the pretzel! They also have these things called Phatty Cake (the kind of look like a cupcake sandwich), and I haven't tried one yet but I'm definitely going to next time I go back!

Super cute little small chocolate shop in Oakley Ohio. If you come here you have to try the oh my cookies. There's a cute little sitting area inside, coffee to drink. they have a bunch of different truffles to choose from and there's two different sizes, small and large. These sweets are so good!

Don't remember what these are, but they looked good, so I grabbed 'em.

We used to watch their roaster in their store stir and tumble the raw cacao beans they import directly from farmers and co-ops around the world. The aroma was subtle and warming. On this visit (Dec 2025), we realize they had recently moved production across Ohio River to the Eastside in Covington KY :-( The store had a sweet lovely aroma. It was filled with chocolate products that they make themselves. Bars of white chocolate, milk chocolate, flavored, and as dark as 80%, assorted candies, ground cacao, drinking chocolate mix, and even a cacao & chai & adaptogen beverage mix. We went for dark chocolate bars that we hadn't seen before. $14 Limited-edition 70% Thailand Dark Chocolate, sourced from the 10-year-old family-run Khun farm and harvest-station for about 40 neighbors. It had a subtle fruit sweetness and slight acidity, balancing the intensity of rich deep flavors, more savory than bitter. I think that Maverick's methods smooth the bitterness of the darker chocolates. A number of family-members found a bar of Dark chocolate under their tree this holiday season :-) Founded in 2014, Maverick's is a treasure. Next time we get here, we're gonna plan a drive 15min south of here to take a tour (with samples :-) of their factory and soak in that roasty aroma :-)

I also purchased some truffles to take home, and I purchased enough to get a box but they were out of the small boxes. I told her I was traveling quite a distance and was concerned they would not make it. She said they would be fine and put them in a plastic bag. She could've offered the next size up in box! And indeed they did not make it. Hate I wasted money on these.

It's nice that the story is on the back of the menus, so locals and guest alike can get a sense of the amazing history! This location could have any quality of food and I would still enjoy a visit because the ambience and decor is so fun and cute! The outside façade of the restaurant as well as the branding have been recently updated, but the inside is straight out of the 1950s. All of the pink, chrome, soda fountain vibes are so fun. And it's such a treat to visit such a vintage spot in 2026! One of Cincinnati's true gems. The ice cream is consistently delicious! It doesn't compete with the other Cincinnati family brand in my opinion, but the diversity of the menu keeps me coming back. I got a pineapple mint ice cream soda, which was surprisingly refreshing and a really good balance of fruity and creamy. My husband got a sundae, which we felt was a little small compared to some of the other menu items - our friends got malts and had a whole other cup of malt available in the stainless steel cup that came on the side. I couldn't help but notice the portion size of that was inconsistent with some of the other items, and I made a plan to split a mall next time for a great value! The service is top-notch and there are very few places you can go to be waited on for an ice cream experience. Don't miss it!
