I know this review is very late but exactly 2 years ago today me and my family took a trip to Oregon coming from San Francisco. On our way back home our car started smoking from the engine and to find out the water pump was leaking. We were left in Ashland Oregon, for 2 days we asked a lot of shops to help us but every single person denied or said they were full. Then we were told about Rudi and we called went and he said he was able to fix the car. We went and told us the costs and time it would be done, when he called us it was done he welcomed all us to his office and was very friendly and kind. This guy is a total scam, had my truck 2 months to repair a camshaft sensor. He orders all his parts off Amazon kept telling me oh I ordered the wrong part forgot to check! This went on for weeks! I've done a lot of the work to my truck myself so I know the truck fairly well. Dropped it off in beginning of may didn't get my truck back till end of June! I know my truck isn't in mint condition but I get my truck back and there is a huge dent in the tailgate! I disputed it with him for awhile back in forth, thank god I took before photos. I almost had to take him to court he finally offered me 300$ for the damages (I'd rather not have a dent in my tailgate but just happy to be not dealing with him) 3 weeks down the line, I'm working on the truck myself and the fuse box cover is missing! I texted him about it "oh I'm so embarrassed how will I sleep at night" just being a total dick! Guy is a scam and not professional at all Would never go back ! read more

If I could give Rudi ten stars, I would. He got us out of a jam when I burned out my truck brakes coming down a steep mountain pass and got towed into Ashland. He cleared his schedule to take care of us so we could continue on our way towing our 27-foot travel trailer, which we live in full time. Feeling so fortunate! I can't say enough about Rudi (Rudolph) who helped me quickly diagnose a problem with my car not starting. Roadside service had just started my car and left me to figure out what to do next. I needed an auto mechanic who could help me diagnose why my car wouldn't start earlier. Our van overheated on the grade driving North into Ashland. We pulled in without a reservation, but Rudi greeted us kindly and took us in without an appointment. We were clearly in trouble. My son & I were visiting from Seattle and on a Friday afternoon discovered that the alternator on my son's Toyota Carolla was making noise. Found Rudi's on Yelp and went to his shop since he's open on Saturdays. He drove us to our downtown hotel and dropped us off. He returned the next morning after changing the alternator & serpentine belt. Also had him change oil & filter, rotate tires, and replace the windshield wipers. Rip off...!!! We told him our car smelled hot and he found nothing wrong, another mechanic found that both our cooling fans had died. His incompetence caused the overheating to gall our camshaft and ruined our car. He charged us $710 for checking the overheating and some other work. He basically missed something that any mechanic should have caught. We had to buy a new car and are still paying off the credit card we put Rudi's "repairs" on. Stay away at all costs! read more

While driving back to Seattle from Santa Barbara, the radiator in our 30' motor home completely gave out. We limped into an Ashland gas station and were referred to Rudi at 7:00pm on a Saturday night. He answered my call on my first attempt surprising for a Saturday night! He then offered to come down to the gas station and take a look. Once he saw our predicament, he had us follow him back to his shop so we would have a place to park the RV (he even hooked us up to electricity!). He started making calls on Sunday to see about getting a new radiator. Rudi knows every part distributor in town and found that there were only 2 available on the west coast. Between Rudi and his friend the part got ordered on Monday and delivered on Tuesday morning. Once work commenced, we found that several of the other parts were worn and if they gave out the radiator would have to once again be removed. We replaced the additional parts he suggested as well. Rudi worked tirelessly to get us back on the road as quickly as possible, moving appointments and working late into the evening to do so. In addition to getting the RV back up and running in just a couple of days, he treated us like family. This type of amazing customer service renews my faith in humanity.
