Fig pie
Kayla B.

I think this is such a solid spot, I have no complaints on the food and the FIG PIE was phenomenal. I think all the pastas are solid but the pizza was more spectacular to me. The pastas were all slightly too saucy and overcooked (slightly) for me. The espresso martini was also very very good. I think its absolutely worth a reservation here!

Margarita Pizza and The Works

8.5/10 Ordered the Margherita Pizza and The Works Burger, both had their highlights and a few drawbacks. Starting with the Margherita Pizza, a classic pie topped with fresh mozzarella and basil on a sourdough crust. The crust was easily the standout feature, crispy on the outside, airy inside, and packed with great texture. Unfortunately, the rest of the pizza fell a bit flat. The toppings were light on flavor, making it feel more like a basic chain restaurant pizza than a memorable artisan pie. 7.5/10 The Works Burger was the true star of the meal and an absolute must order. Made with wagyu beef, cheddar, caramelized onions, onion rings, pickles, and French aioli, every bite was rich, juicy, and full of flavor. The beef was well seasoned, the bun was incredibly soft, and the generous sauce tied everything together perfectly. My only complaint was that the onion ring could have been crispier to add more texture. I also appreciated being able to substitute the fries for a salad. 9.4/10 Service was fast, attentive, and welcoming despite how busy the restaurant was. We were seated outside, and they even brought us a blanket, which was a thoughtful touch that elevated the experience.

bee's knees pizza

Came here on a Saturday night for dinner and loved everything we ordered. The spicy rigatoni alla vodka with burrata and the Bee's Knees pizza were both excellent, and the sourdough crust on the pizza was a standout. This place gets busy, so I highly recommend making a reservation. Indoor seating is limited, but we were seated right away with our reservation while walk-ins were facing an hour wait.

Absolutely incredible! Best pasta I've had in a LONG time. The ambiance felt sophisticated yet welcoming. We even had a candle on our table --so cute! They asked if we had a reservation when we walked in, which says a lot about how popular this place is. We were quoted an hour wait but got seated in 25 minutes, and the service was still great despite how packed it was.

Burger - so good!

Rudolfos is a MUST try for locals and visitors alike. They have the best pizza, pasta, and desserts in PG. It's our favorite place to take visitors, and do family style (because who can just choose 1 plate??) The menu shifts seasonally, and the whole staff always ensure it's a great experience. You'll always leave full and happy, but highly recommend getting extra dessert to go - for later! Rudy is the GOAT

Tried Rudolfo's for the first time while visiting family, and it did not disappoint! Super cute spot makes you feel like family. The food was amazing, the service was outstanding, and the desserts were absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and made for a wonderful dining experience. I will definitely be coming back the next time I'm in town!

Onion rings, so good!
carissa p.

Best onion rings ever! Not much to say other than you need to try them. Pizza with hot honey was good, crust was delicious. Portion was perfect for lunch and made a great midnight snack. Brisket sandwich wasn't my favorite, the meat was shredded so finely, it felt like there was more slaw than protein. Was a bit messy and tricky to eat, the fries were my favorite part. I wouldn't order it again, but everything around me looked so good I'm excited to come back and try more. If you can sit outside, opt for an outdoor table, it's a bit warm and stuffy inside. Staff were super friendly, responsive, and everything there was loving it. Will definitely be back again.

My favorite sight at a restaurant is seeing staff hustle, enjoying their job (or at least appearing to), and working as a team, and this place has that. We came in as walk-ins on a busy Saturday evening and waited about 35 mins to for a table. During our wait, I was able to observe the young and mostly Latino staff. They hustled, they all knew what needed to be done and when, they where attentive to the customers and patrons walking up for table availability, and they were gracious hosts. It was impressive to see such a young staff (average age mid-late 20s) running a popular restaurant as if they've been doing it for decades. On top of their amazing staff, the food was fantastic. We ordered spicy rigatoni, and chicken parmean, and both came with some of the best sauce we ever had. Flavor was balanced and not heavy, and complimented the pasta perfectly. We'll be back anytime we're in the area.

Sat outside and they provided lap blankets so even in winter we were cozy! Waited a bit since we didn't have a reso but WORTH IT! Got the cheesy garlic bread, soup of the day, and Parmesan crusted chicken. Was probably the best parm chicken I've ever had!

Margherita pizza with burrata and spicy chili honey
Bella S.

Delicious pizza!! Great indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to sit outside and enjoyed visiting with people and their pups. (The only downside is our table was lopsided and glasses kept sliding) Servers and hostess were kind and efficient. I already want another pizza! The crust was amazing! Perfectly crisp and chewy at the same time. We ordered a Margherita with burrata and spicy chili honey drizzled on top. So good!! Our Caesar salad was also good but the pizza was definitely the star!!

American Brekkie

I always walk by this place and finally decided to pop in for a quick brunch. Their eggs were the fluffiest I've ever had so delicious it makes you want to lick the plate clean. The brioche toast was a nice touch as well. Our server was super nice and fast good service. I will have to be back to try their dinner!

Servoce was good considering they had a lot of orders for pick ups. There was ample parking in the front and the store is overall good! Highly recommend!

This is an update/reply to owner on 4/1:…read more I think your reply to me here is making matters worse. You're refusing to take accountability for the fact that you hired an individual who is extremely obnoxious, mouthy, and disrespectful to a customer who is having a problem due to a combination of factors - one being that you closed early on a weekend night, and the other being that a third-party service is failing to do a good job. A third-party service I might add who you have chosen to do business with. As a small business owner myself, as you pointed out, I can assure you, I will never hire a person and allow them to work at my front desk who has the audacity to treat customers as rudely as your employee did. The largest offense here was the behavior of your employee and that is the one thing you have failed to address. There are solutions to the problems you were having - one is as simple as writing a note on your door, letting your customers know that you've chosen to close early that day. Another is refusing to do business with a third-party who is making matters worse rather than better for your business. But the most important thing here is having the care And attention that is required to not hire people capable of being so rude to your customers. Your employee did not make that offer of a pizza until we pointed out that he could have done something better to address the situation rather than giving mouth. But the point here is, we did not want pizza at that time. We wanted the night before when we were in a jam, and by that point, our trust in the food at your store was completely shattered. Because if a person makes a decision to hire someone that is so rude to customers, they may also make the decision to hire a cook who spits in your food. And anyone who fails to understand or address the unacceptable behavior of their employees when it is necessary is indeed a one star establishment. This is an update: A person from Pizza My Way called me a day after I posted my original 1-star review. She was friendly and helpful, and ultimately refunded the $40. I appreciated that. So I brought my review up to 3 stars. However, the situation was seriously unacceptable. Businesses have a responsibility to hire people who are going to treat customers with respect and who are capable of responding to problems created by decisions of the restaurant and their policies. This was a stressful experience and my wife and I walked away feeling very disrespected and initially $40 poorer with no pizza and no solution. The young person working for them has no business treating customers who pay a whopping $40 for a pizza that way- and his behavior being tolerated makes it impossible for me to give the restaurant another chance - so I cannot give an honest review of their food only their service. Maybe if someday I get a call that they have let said employee go they can regain my trust and I'll give them a try because their right up the street, and perhaps I can become a regular customer since I'm so close and they can get a higher rating from me. Originally posted 5/15: Worst pizza experience on the Monterey Peninsula by far. The place just randomly closes on a Saturday night well before their posted closing time. I order for pick up, spend over $40 for one large pizza which is absolutely crazy. I mean other people might think that's normal but I think that's crazy. That doesn't matter. I was in a jam and I had to get my kids some food and was not able to get back home and cook because of an emergency at work. In any case, I pay for the pizza online and then I called to confirm and there's no answer. I call multiple times. I show up to the store in person at around 8:35, 25 minutes before they are supposed to take their last order, and the whole place is dark. The next day, I am assured by the person I speak to on the phone that I will be refunded. Later on that day, I double checked to make sure that's true and it looks like they withdrawn the money from my bank account. So I called back and the person I speak to on the phone refuses to give me their name, they take absolutely no accountability for the situation, and offer absolutely no solution. So I spent $40 on pizza I never received, I was completely unable to get the attention of the manager, and my wife, and I both had to endure rudeness, extreme rudeness from their staff. When I walked in to restate my reasonable request to no avail, the person on staff was recording me on his phone. I don't get it. I'm the customer and I've already spent money and I still haven't received any product from them. It's nothing personal. When you're closing well before you posted hours on a weekend night, when you've got some cockamamie ordering system that you've built into your website, when you can't be accountable to your customers that spend money or even polite, you deserve the bad reputation that follows.

Amazing pizza and awesome service!…read more We met with some family here for lunch and a few beers. Hops and Fog is definitely the local spot to be at, it filled up quickly after we sat down. I ordered a Dark Horse seltzer from Crow and Wolf and three pizzas for the table; the Return of the fun guy (mushroom pizza), the TMNT, a 3 cheese pizza, and the PIzzette karbonara. All of the pizzas were excellent, but my favorite was the PIzzette karbonara. This was such a unique flavor combo a brick over pie with miso carbonara sauce, mozzarella, shaved guanciale (pork), grated pecorino, black sesame crumble topped with runny fried egg. I could not get enough of this pie; the miso sauce paired with pecorino and a runny egg was delicious! They use a blonde or white miso in the sauce and it added a deep umami flavor. My kids inhaled the cheese pizza and everyone loved the mushroom pizza and the black truffle sauce that was drizzled on it. Hops and Fog has a front outdoor patio section and small outdoor back area. I've never been big on chicken on pizza, but this completely changed my mind. The garlic flavor was subtle (which I appreciated since garlic can easily overpower a dish), and the creamy white sauce paired perfectly with the toppings. I'm usually not a huge white sauce fan either, but it worked beautifully here. The bacon was generous and evenly distributed throughout, adding the perfect savory touch. The crust was on the thinner side, crispy, and not greasy at all, which made every bite even better. Moving on to the Margherita Pizza, a classic and my personal must order at any pizza spot. This one did not disappoint. Fresh basil, tomatoes, olive oil, and garlic all came together perfectly. Again, I appreciated the subtle garlic flavor that enhanced rather than overwhelmed the pizza. Like the Chicken Supreme, the crust was thin, nicely crisped, and not oily or greasy. Clean flavors done right. Honestly, I can't pick a favorite because both pizzas were unique in their own way and equally satisfying. Service was great, the staff was attentive and very friendly throughout our visit. The ambiance felt a little questionable at first, but it's just a smaller establishment with a cozy vibe. They had the Olympics playing, which actually made the experience more fun and entertaining. Overall, a great spot I'd definitely return to!

The breading was not overly powerful or too much. They had 3 dipping sauces. I really liked the basil one, hubby thought it was too powerful. The lemon aioli was also very good but I absolutely loved the basil one. The red one was just okay to me but hubby liked that one the most. For our entrees I had the Saffron Seafood Pasta and hubby had the Carbonara Pasta dish. For mine it tasted like the seafood was just delivered right out of the ocean. The shrimp was huge, the scallops were plentiful and there was a lot of squid. The papardelle pasta was out of this world. Briney and creamy in the best way. Hubby enjoyed his dish but one bite of mine and he had food envy. We both agreed that tomatoes in my dish weren't needed. But it didn't take away my enjoyment of the dish. For dessert hubby had the tiramisu and I had the San Pietro sundae, minus whip cream, a vanilla gelato with pistachios, caramel coated almonds and salted caramel. The hostess, Paula, responded rudely, saying, "I can't do this right now," before handing the phone to another staff member, who kindly told us it would be fine. When we arrived, Paula simply pointed at our table and said, "There's your table," then looked down and ignored us. I wasn't even sure if we were supposed to seat ourselves until another staff member noticed and kindly escorted us to our table. The restaurant was empty when we arrived as well. At one point, we walked past Paula to get to the restroom and she slightly scoffed, looking at us with contempt. At first, I thought maybe I was overthinking it, however, throughout the evening, we noticed Paula and another staff member enthusiastically greeting and checking on every nearby table except ours. We were the largest party in the restaurant, celebrating a bride-to-be who was even wearing a veil, yet no one acknowledged the occasion. We felt so un-welcomed and it left a bad taste in my mouth. Our server was wonderful, unfortunately, the food was mediocre, nothing special, especially for the price. Overall, the poor hospitality overshadowed the entire experience. I hope management takes the recurring 1- and 2-star reviews seriously and works to improve the atmosphere because this was a very disappointing experience.

Well after a great day of golfing, the first thing I wanted was some high-quality pizza and Yelp pointed me straight towards Heirloom Pizza located on Cass Street. Parking at this location was pretty good as even though it was located in a busy part of town, they had their own lot they share with other businesses. Once inside I was able to see how cute this restaurant was-totally the kind of place one would take someone they cared about-date-night vibes for sure. We had called in our order before we arrived and since we were taking pizza back to the group,we ordered two large deep dish pizzas. We ordered the Pepperoni Deep Dish ($38.75)-which basically features pepperoni and a crazy amount of cheese. We also ordered The Slider($38.75) which featured meatballs, mushrooms, onions, roasted garlic and a crazy amount of cheese. Each pizza was 12-inch size, smaller than I'm used to when ordering deep dish but with the high quality ingredients and elevated cooking techniques they used,it seemed like a fair price. Both pizzas were incredible tasting and choosing between them would be like picking between a Lambo or a Ferrari. Both were an amazing eating experience and both established a new standard for deep dish pizza for me. But if I had to pick-Slider all day-I really loved that pizza, perfect crust, perfect variety of toppings, perfect seasonings, perfect sauce-yeah that was a really great pizza. I hated that I had to share it if I'm being honest. Packed with succulent meatballs, with mushrooms, onions and garlic, each bite was a savory flavor bomb on my taste buds !
