Chicken cordon blue. Great sandwhich, big and juicy with a nice crunch. Great service from Rudy! Highly recommend

Sorry, one piece of sea meat gone already.

Rudy's is a decent place to eat. Atmosphere is good, plenty of TVs to watch. Average choice of beers on tap. I chose the Lagunitas IPA, never disappoints. The wife unit and I split two meals, the Southwestern Chicken salad and fish and chips. Fish was good, crispy and a little oily. Fries weren't real hot like the fish. Three pieces of sea meat with plenty of fries and cole slaw. The salad was good, the chicken pieces were spicy, but small. Dressing tasted good. I probably wouldn't order it again. Service was great, very attentive staff.

I am so glad we finally made it to this place. the atmosphere is a fun and easy sports bar but more open with great food and nice staff. we ordered all kinds of stuff at our table of 4. wings, corn dog minis, giant cheeseburgers, a chicken sandwich, a side salad, and a few other things. everything came out promptly and hot. they have really good ranch too, I was impressed. rudy's is kind of hidden at the corner of linder and mcmillan, in the back corner. you might not know it's there if you aren't familiar with that area. it's in a cute little square that shares space with a couple other places. I can't wait to come back on football sunday and watch some games and have those wings and corn dog minis again!

I was talking to some friends the other night and they suggested I try Rudy's. I had said I had been to Gino's next door, and they pointed to Rudy's for next time. So, last night my son and I went over to try it for dinner. We sat ourselves, like one does in a bar, and we were quickly greeted, menu'd, and asked if we wanted a drink. Perfect! We ordered drinks, and since the Olympics were on, we asked to have the big monitor over the bar changed from Euro soccer to Woman's beach Volleyball (US vs China). Lots of TVs! The bartender didn't know what channel it was on, but it was on some tiny TV in the "family" section with low tables, and she went of there and then came back and changed it for us. Cool! Plus it was a great match btw, but I digress. So, let's talk the wine list. Meh, nothing on there to write home about, so did the house red to be cheap. Beer and mixed drinks are the order of the day here, which is fine. The bar seemed quite efficient even with less staff working. The place was clean. All the tables, as we looked around, were kept very clean which was nice. Nobody likes to have to pick their table because it was the only clean one around. Not the case here. All the open tables were very clean. Onto the menu... It's pretty extensive. I'm not a huge fan of extensive menu's, I don't think too many places do 500 dishes wonderfully, but I'm used to going to places that have too many things rather than focus only on what they do best. So, a wide array of choices. It is Pub fair. So, don't be looking for some fancy dishes. This place is like Homestead without all the noise, or Busters in Eagle. Mostly simple food as seen on many American menus. They did have something my friend mentioned, the 'Wedge Salad with Chicken'. I thought, that's kinda bizarre, but I do like a good wedge, and the chicken does add protein so you're not hungry 10 minutes later. My son ordered a Pub burger. Pretty standard, but that's his fault because they had some good sounding burgers, but he likes them plain. He enjoyed his, I enjoyed mine, the place was clean, the people were nice, not too noisy, good TV viewing, outdoor dining when weather permits. This is a good place to come. Shorts and flip flops dinner. I'd say try it out for unpretentious evening paired with the standard American bar dishes. Think Chili's if you will. Anyway, I'll come back...

    State Fair Burger. Delicious.

First time at Rudy's. I had the State Fair Burger! Came out looking like it was right out of a food magazine. Beautiful. It was absolutely delicious. Great coleslaw and plenty of it. We will be back.

Rudy's is a local hangout. We went during Happy Hour, friendly staff and locals. Emma our server was funny and pleasant.

I have driven by and have heard about this joint of social media. A couple of my Niner homies come here during football season. So, it sounded chill to have lunch at this sports bar. Walking in, I was amazed at how stunning this venue is. It's a sports bar with the tvs but the decor and vibe doesn't make it look like your typical sports bar. This venue makes you want to act proper. And acting proper would be so hard during football season. It's too pretty to be acting rowdy. We sat by the cool flameless fireplace/pit. A sweet gal came and grabbed our drink order. While drinks were being prepared, we checked out the menu. It's a smaller menu but they have a little bit of everything. I got the Giggy burger, bunless with an extra patty. My husband got the finger steaks with fries. Our food came out and we were both ready to eat. My burger looked good. The cheese was nice and melty on top. I got a side of mixed veggies as my side. My husband's plate had a lot of fries. The finger steaks were fried golden. His plate looked tasty. My burger patties were supposed to be a quarter pound a piece. Honestly, they were thin and tiny. The patties weren't seasoned and were overly dry. The mixed veggies were just steamed broccoli and carrots. I'm sure the carrots are the same carrots used as a side for buffalo wings. And just like the patties, the veggies weren't seasoned as well. My husband's fries were good. You can tell they weren't house cut fries. The finger steaks were seasoned nicely. But the pieces were tiny and the steak was dry. I can see why 80% of the plate was fries. You aren't going to get full off the finger steaks. This venue is so pretty but the food doesn't match the venue. Our meal was sub par. Disappointing cause you'd think that food coming out of this kitchen would be killer. The service was great. The gal that served us today did a good job. I'm happy we got to check this joint out today. It's been on my to go list for a hot minute. Kinda bummed that the food missed the mark today.

Walking in, you immediately notice the huge LCD screens all around the restaurant, and it was perfect for catching a Monday Night Football game while you eat. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, offering drinks several times even though we weren't in the mood. We ordered a fried chicken sandwich for my wife and the three street tacos for me. Her sandwich was tasty, and my tacos were okay, though the chicken was a bit dry. My dinner salad was standard. I did ask for pepper, but it never arrived. Is is something they could keep in mind, as they (and like many places) don't provide salt and pepper on the tables. Service was polite, though plate clearing and follow-ups felt a bit minimal. It gave the impression that this is a spot geared more toward grabbing a beer and some bar food rather than a full dinner experience. Overall, Giggy D's is a good choice for a casual bite and watching a game. Just manage your expectations as it's far from a gourmet spot, but it delivers on friendly atmosphere and classic bar food. If you're looking for something similar, Rudy's or Brixx might be comparable or slightly better options.

For some reason, we were seated in a corner booth near the bathrooms, while other customers were seated elsewhere in the restaurant. We didn't mind, however, because it was nice and quiet. And, for me, convenient. My wife had the Sirloin Salad, and I had the Ahi Poke Salad. My wife said that her meat was cooked the way she likes it, and the rest of the ingredients were delicious. For me, the ahi, sesame vinaigrette dressing, wonton strips, onions, and greens were very good. The food is always good at The Tavern. And, the prices are reasonable. Unlike our past experiences, the service this time around was not up to our usual. Our server, Hannah C., seemed in a rush and impatient. Though she told us to ask her if we had questions, I didn't find her responses to be pleasant. The first dish my wife was interested in had Boursin cheese. My wife had not heard of it, and she cannot eat a lot of cheese. She preferred something milder, like mozarella. When she inquired of Hannah, the reply was terse. "We don't have mozarella." "Do you have another milder cheese?" "Like what?" Not in a nice way, and not professional, in my opinion. And, she was loud. We waited longer than usual for our food, and when Hannah brought it, she just dropped the plates and split. To her credit, she did check in on us once during our meal. Now I don't know what kind of day Hannah was having. Maybe not so good. I don't know what kind of person she is, and I'll give her the benefit of the doubt that she is a nice woman. Hopefully she is not like how she was with us to all of her customers. I'm a 20% tipper. For her, it was 18%. I wasn't given a choice, but I would have gone down to 15%.

It's a nice sports bar theme, but also welcoming and cozy. Once we sat down, a server came over immediately with menus. It seemed like she was the only server though, which made me feel badly for her...she never stopped moving the entire time we were there with taking orders, serving, refilling drinks, taking payments, etc. We had a party of four - I ordered the "Hail Mary" (2 patties, onion rings, bbq sauce, bacon, American cheese and pickles), hubby had the double steak burger and my friends ordered "The Big Hurt" and "Bullet Work". Bonus points for having multiple fries options (regular, garlic, French fry dippers and sweet potato), but unfortunately for me, they were out of sweet potato. Food came out relatively quickly and everything looked pretty delicious. My burger was bigger than I expected, which I appreciated. The onion ring was the perfect size for the patty and the drizzle of BBQ sauce was enough to flavor the burger without drowning it. The only downside was that the bacon wasn't crispy enough and the cheese was barely melted. The patties had some nice, crispy edges and the bun was soft even though it was toasted. It might have been bumped up a notch with some mayo on the bun, an extra slice of cheese and lettuce, but overall, it was a nice, very filling, burger. The fries were perfectly seasoned, slightly battered and the fry sauce was a great compliment. Everyone finished their meals and raved about how much they liked their burgers. Due to the one server taking care of so many tables, we didn't see her again until it was time for the check. Thankfully the water glasses were enormous and I luckily made it through dinner with just enough to drink. We would definitely visit again to check out all the great options on this menu!

And with the view by the patio, how can it not be the most perfect setting to enjoy my birthday dinner. We just stuck with water since it was on the warmer side today. We just went straight in for dinner. As much as the appetizers sounded lovely, I was ready for the main event. So for dinner tonight I ordered the charboiled salmon with seasonal veggies in place of the salad. My salmon was plated beautifully with nice char marks on it. The veggies were a variety of squash and were sautéed nicely. And you can tell visually that they were seasoned nicely with spices and herbs. I dug right into my salmon. My first couple bites were delicious. I did spread some of the sun dried tomato butter on my salmon. The butter was fantastic! It added a nice flavor element to the salmon. After I ate about a a fourth of my salmon, I noticed that it was not cooked all the way through in the middle. With my new kidney, I can't have rare or undercooked fish. My immune system can't handle a parasite if the fish were to potentially contain any. I shouldn't have assumed that it was going to be cooked all the way since our server didn't ask how well I wanted it cooked. I did have to send it back and have another one remade. While my new fish was being prepared, my server gave me a small salad plate to transfer my veggies to. I got to work on them so I wasn't staring at my family eat. The veggies were cooked perfectly. They weren't overly soft or still raw. It had a nice bite to them while still being tender. Unfortunately, they were overly seasoned and was on the saltier side. I was hungry so I polished them off. But I did have to drink a good amount of water to help with the saltiness. Thank goodness the portion was on the daintier side. As hungry as I was, it would have been bad if it was a bigger portion. All that salt would not be good on my new kidney. My second round of salmon came out. Was it as pretty as my first plate, no but it will do. I'm sure they set the flame on high, let it sit on the grill for a while and then flipped it to cook the other side. I have cooked salmon well done plenty of times and have it come out tender. When you cook for a living, having cooking times for your dishes should be down to a science in your kitchen. Unfortunately, the salmon was super dry and flavorless. As hungry as I was, I ate it. The butter did help with the dryness of the salmon. But I shouldn't have to rely on butter to make the dish edible. For my birthday, I got a free dessert. I chose the gluten free carrot cake. My cousin eats a gluten free diet so I thought this cake would be perfect for all of us. I enjoyed the cake very much! The cake was moist. The spices in the cake were fragrant and very noticeable in each bite. I loved the frosting on the cake. Since the cake wasn't overly sweet, the frosting added a nice sweetness to it. I enjoyed the cake very much! Our server did a mid job. There were times when she would be gone for long periods of time and we had to wait for her. The patio was perfect with its stunning view. Dinner was ok but dessert was fabulous. Overall it was a decent experience. I do look forward to coming back and enjoying the outdoor patio with my husband for a date night. I just know now to make sure I vocalize everything to my server so I don't end up with dry salmon again. I do want to come back and have a better experience.

Brisket quesadilla was good and tasty, no complaints what I was told. Huckle berry burger was different, it had a sweeter fresh taste to it. I'm always trying something new but if I could order again I would have got the hells canyon burger a more dirtier of a burger. Burger was a little dry but I use every sauce I can so didn't bother me too much. Regular burger came out with no bacon so he waited until bacon came out. Took a bite and there was curb sauce in it that he had not wanted in it. Asked for a new burger but by the time he got it everyone was done and thrill was gone. Got his bill and was charged for every item including the kitchens mistake. I want to say the younger server gal didn't want to take any heat for it since it wasn't her fault but didn't want to make her team look bad or the manager mad so she charged for everything without a discount. That was a rough one to be okay with. Twin Peaks on Spectrum St. was late with one of our meals by 8 minutes and took the meal off our check. I think the server girl here could be given more authority or at least have direction on what to do in situations like this but it is what it is now.
