As a Glendora local, I really wanted to like this place. Yes, it was the BOGO deal on DoorDash. I ordered the Pad Thai with pork, shrimp fried rice (with an additional $2.50 charge), and Thai tea. Unfortunately, the pork tasted like it had been sitting in the freezer for a LONG time. I ended up tossing the meat out. They also put a whopping three tiny shrimp in each fried rice, along with a few small pieces of frozen carrots and green peas. Why bother offering a BOGO deal if you're going to serve a shoddy dish that I wouldn't even pay $5 for? Focus on making an actually good dish rather than relying on a marketing scheme. The minced peanuts sparkled, as did the proportion of slivered carrots, green scallions and bean sprouts to chicken was ideal. The tamarind based sauce was excellent. Minuses? That the sauce in my second order was more plentiful- The first order was noticeably dryer than its follow up one was. This correspondent considers himself very fortunate to live within practical walking distance of two outstanding Thai restaurants in Diamond Bar (Silver Spoons and Basil, respectively). ordered the tofu pad thai here and it really came with 5 pieces of tofu for almost $18. there was almost no egg, definitely no lime and no bean sprouts. Really just a container of rice noodles. Ended up having to cook protein which defeats the purpose of take out. Total hole-in-the-wall find for me during the Covid takeout days and I've ordered from here a handful of times since. The biggest draw is the value. Found this place on DoorDash while looking for a new place to order from. Had the pad-see-ew with the chicken and beef which was really tasty. Also ordered the combination fried rice which was also really good. The delivery was quick as I found out other place is not far from me. Food was delicious. We got Pad Thai, pork fried rice and yellow curry. They were all very flavorful. The place is tiny (only 2 tables for indoor eating ). It has an A rating but place needs TLC! An older couple run it. The cook was friendly and spoke to us with a broken accent and as we were leaving he followed us out giving us a warm handshake. Great place for some Thai food! I love that they are on Postmates and often have buy one get one free specials. The service here is always on point. I ordered the yellow curry with chicken and mixed vegetables. It was delicious with just the right amount of heat. I originally ordered it to go but ended having more time to eat there. I used to come here a lot. I think they changed ownership and the new owner is definitely not from Thailand and is likely a steel worker not a chef. The Sate chicken is like rubber, at least 1/4 inch of oil floating on top of the pangnan curry. If you like orange chicken, get it from Panda Express. I cross this place out from my list. read more

I came here a little bit ago now with my friend. We ordered crab rangoon, pad kee mao, and side of sticky rice. Pad kee mao was flavorful though I have had better. Sticky rice was my favorite! It was delicious. Crab rangoons were also ok. In general, I would not go out of my way to come here but would come here again if I'm in the area. Casually found this place after getting a massage down the street. On a whim we decided to try this place out and it did not disappoint. I love hole in the wall restaurants. Service was great! Food was amazing and there's a bunch of parking. Seating is limited indoors but looks like there are some outdoor seating. They do have lunch specials as well from 11-4pm. read more

Was in the Glendora area and craving Thai food - came across Ruenrom and thought the photos of the food looked promising! Dropped by around 7 PM and there was no line! We ordered the pad thai with shrimp and pad see ew with pork and received our food within 10-15 minutes. If I were to rank the shrimp pad thai, I would say it was a 3.5/5. Unfortunately, the noodles were a bit clumped together making it tough to pick up with chopsticks. Also, the shrimp was a bit tough in my opinion, so I'd likely order a different type of meat if i returned. I enjoyed the taste of the sauce though, and thought it was the ideal amount to cover the noodles without leaving a huge puddle of sauce at the bottom of the container. I was also a fan of the egg and various mixins such as green onions. Overall, Ruenrom has friendly, prompt service and offers good sized portions for the price. While it might not be my go-to for future thai food cravings, I'd consider returning to try something else on the menu! read more

This was the worst experience I've had for Thai food in my life. they offered barbecue chicken, which had no barbecue which I asked, and they said it comes with a spicy sauce when I tried it. It was horribly dry tastes and nasty. Also, I ordered the curry chicken, which actually was really good and had a little bit of a sweet Thai sauce on the side, which I don't know where it came from, but tasted really good then I got some pork whatever they call. It was nasty dry tasted like dog food and was uneditable pretty much same like the barbecue chicken with no barbecue sauce that was horribly dry no seasoning and awful. read more

I feel bad for leaving such a negative review because the person who took my order was so kind. But their food was awful. I ordered the Tom kha (medium spicy chicken soup) which tasted like a bowl eating a bowl of sugar. I thought my Thai tea was sweet until I had the coconut chicken soup. Not to mention that the container that it was put in was so flimsy because of the heat of the soup it was almost impossible to open .. The wontons are just the skins for11 dollars. I mean, it's not like they put a lot of meat into wontons anyways but seeing no meat at all then why are they so expensive? I ordered drinks that were put in the bag we're spilt over. I'm not sure how this Thai restaurant has 4.5 stars but from my experience it definitely deserves a lower rating. I saw that they had one of my favorite dishes that not all Thai places serve so I decided to try out this place. I ordered the Chinese Broccoli with Crispy Pork and the pictures posted online seemed very good. At first glance I was pretty impressed with the portion size because it was decent for the price. When I started eating it, the flavor was very underwhelming. The sauce was very dark compared to the pictures online and it didn't taste the best. The second thing I noticed was the random noodle found in the dish. This shows that they do not take care with cleaning the wok after each use. This is not only very unsanitary but could also explain why the sauce was so weird and seemed to not go with the dish I ordered. I then noticed that the Chinese broccoli they were using seemed to be going rotten since the leaves had already turned a yellowish brown color and the stems were dark. I assume that this is why they used an extra dark sauce to try and mask the ingredients that were not fresh. I also wanted to comment on the cleanliness which is obviously very important during this time. When I came to pick it up, the bag was on a table to the side. There was a guy sitting there with my bag directly in front and below him as he was breathing all over it. The pens to sign the receipt were also sticky and the place just didn't seem clean so I can only imagine what is happening in the back. There is also a very odd placement of plants that was excessive. It made it so that the entire facade was blocked from the parking lot side. The plants also caused a noticeable amount of flies and other insects building up near the entrance. Keep in mind the door of the restaurant is open. If you decide to order from here make sure to check your food or you might be ingesting insects -_- Overall, I would not return... I was hoping that it would be good but I will just stick to Thai restaurants that I already know is good. The ingredients used were not fresh and the sanitary measures were not kept up. read more

Killer grub in a total dive environment. I pulled off the freeway in search of some good food to both fill my belly and avoid a horrible traffic jam. It's a great feeling going to a place rated 5-stars on yelp and avoiding crappy fast food. A true dive hole-in-the-wall, this place is tiny. Only two tables inside and three tables on the sidewalk out front. Good sized menu, excellent service, real plates and flatware and great food. Marvelous quality Thai food! I've ordered their chicken Pad Kee Mao dish on numerous occasions for takeout and each time it's tasted consistently delicious, with the portion size being very generous. You can choose how spicy you want it; I usually order it at medium spice level. I've also tried the Thai iced coffee here and it's an excellent blend of sweetness and bitter coffee flavor, a perfect pick-me-up coffee beverage. Was hoping this place would be really good since I live a block away. They had really good reviews so we were pretty excited to give it a shot. We ordered the pad Thai, pad see ew and pineapple fried rice. The portions were pretty big, so that was cool. When we opened the pad Thai, the whole house smelled like vinegar, it also left a strong vinegary taste in your throat after. The pad see ew was very watery and tasted salty. The fried rice tasted old and the beef did not taste good at all. We all had a couple bites and ended up throwing the whole thing away. That's saying a lot because my mom is an old school Asian who never throws out food, and even she was down to throw this away. We ended up getting McDonald's for lunch instead since we were all starving and wanted something quick.
