LOVE the cheese steaks and onion rings! This is a favorite stop when we travel between MD and Douglasville, PA. The cheese steaks are served on pizza dough rolls that are phenomenally good, and the sandwich is otherwise very much in the Philadelphia tradition. We discovered this place before having to give up gluten, and we still go back: it's worth the consequences of "cheating" on our GF diet - it's THAT good! My family and I really love Ruffinos! The Italian sandwich is soooo good. Their bread is homemade in house I believe and it's warm, fresh and delicious. They are generous with the meat and cheese and it's a really fantastic sandwich. The pizza is also great!! It's legit some of my favorite pizza. The dough and the sauce they tastes so good and unique, like nothing else I've had. There are some misses here... the burger comes on their homemade bread and so that's just a bit odd. I want their chicken Caesar wrap to be better than it is. It's like a 6/10 but if it was stuffed with fried chicken then it would be 10/10. Ever since moving to the Lanc area, I have been driving past this spot for 2 years until now. I came across this while searching for pizza on Yelp. All the reviews seemed positive so we gave this place a go. Restaurant- As I was in and out to briefly pick up the pie. I noticed the inside was very neat and tidy. The staff was friendly and attentive. Pizza- Everything about this pie was excellent! The pie wasn't greasy, it wasn't floppy / messy, could maybe use a tad more sauce, the crust had just enough crunch, a little doughy, and the overall taste was out of this world! Cause I'm hooked on the Barstool pizza reviews, I'll give this a review similar to that.. this pizza earns a solid score of a 6.8 read more

What we got: Cheeseburger, no fries- specifically asked for just meat and bun, child can't eat dairy Plain fish sandwich had cheese...I assume that's what plain means 24 BBQ wings Special steak missing mayo (requested), peppers and the sauce...specifically why I ordered it. I love this place. It's not a spectacular environment. The outside is no different than any other "Mom and Pop" pizza place in the world and the inside is the same. But, their pizza and strombolis are very good. The pizza dough is a little on the sweet side but it is very good. I go there frequently. If you're someone who thinks that "There's just something about local pizza places that is better than chain pizza restaurants." Then this is the place for you. The other thing that makes the place stand out is the service. Every time I have ever been there (afternoon or evening), they have been extremely friendly and helpful. These are the kind of people you would likely do business with even if their food wasn't the best. Their food quality is excellent. Their prices are reasonable. The service is far better than most "order at the counter" restaurants. I would definitely recommend Ruffino's. read more

Went here last week with my husband and daughter for a quick dinner while visiting Lancaster. I wasn't feeling well and we were staying at a nearby hotel and wanted to run out for a quick bite to eat and then get back to the hotel and relax for the evening. We weren't in the mood for the more typical Lancaster food so we stopped in here. We ordered a medium pizza with pepperoni and lasagna (really ordered the lasagna for our daughter). The pizza was tasty, nothing spectacular but the crust was pretty good. The lasagna was pretty bland (and so hot it was actually a little ridiculous - took like 15 minutes to cool to enough to eat after cutting into it). My daughter seemed to like it though (although she is a toddler and not very picky) so maybe it just was just my husband and I. The salad that came with the lasagna was pretty pathetic - iceberg lettuce with a few sliced white onions, two tomato slices and oregano. Really? Not exactly my idea of a salad. The bread that came with the lasagna was ok but didn't taste very fresh. They also didn't serve iced tea (fresh iced tea not in a can) so that was dissapointing. The service was good though, very friendly and we would possibly go back if we just wanted a slice of pizza the next time we are in the area. read more

Ruffino's pizza and pasta is my go-to pizza place. It's run by the matriarch of the Ruffino family, and her sons. They are all great. They've always been a joy to talk to. The pizza is my favorite in the area. My friends and I used to eat here all the time, and then we'd walk over to friendly's for dessert. Eaten here recently and it's as great as always. The price is fair and the food is good quality. Definitely worth stopping by. read more

I stay at a nearby hotel every other week and have been here 2 times now. I love the wings. Nothing crazy just regular unbreaded and perfectly cooked. Crispy on the outside and moist and juicy on the inside. Just a solid go to wing. Tried the pizza tonight. Being from Jersey I'm always skeptical of pizza outside of NY and NJ. This was very good. The service is tremendous...like you're at an extended family members house. Two reasons I did not rate a 5... I have only had the wings and the pizza. Normally I don't like to judge pizza that is warmed up. I prefer it fresh from the oven but dining alone I went the way of the slice. Their homemade fresh baked rolls are so good! way better than the generic rolls at most shops or the Subway "crap on top" rolls. I love the Italian sub because they use thick cut meats and if you ask they will toast it for awesome! Linda (the lady in charge)is the nicest,sweetest mother in the world and her sun is nice to.Every time I walk in there Linda always asks me how I am doing,how I've been and how my dad has been she says she works works a lot and dose not get many days off since she needs to work a lot but in my opinion she deserves better than that.They are among the nicest people I've ever known. Really good mini Stromboli and pizza. I went to this pizza shop for the first time a few months ago. I have been back and have taken others with me. After our last experience I will probably not return. The guys that work there are so very rude. Terrible service and they are mean and grouchy. My nephew was very offended by the way in which they treat people. It's not the customers fault if you're under staffed. Ordered for the first time last night. First I was happy that they delivered, so many of the "mom & Pop" type pizza places around here don't deliver, which is such a bummer. Anyways...We ordered 2 pizzas, boneless wings & a cheesesteak. The pizza was good, the only thing I would say it could be cooked a little longer, but my entire family liked it. The wings were not good, very spicy for mild and they were a little overdone. The cheesesteak was delicious and I'm really picky about cheesesteaks, really good!!!!
