The prices and selection of children's clothes were VERY disappointing. When we finally picked out a few items, the salesclerk was almost comically slow. Between talking, and ringing up our purchases... it took about 15 or more minutes to ring up 3 items... and then my daughter in law asked her if she remembered 2 of the 3 items were on sale, which she did not. I wanted to scream... the process was so tedious, I almost said "forget it" so we could leave. Hubby and I decided to stop into this cute children's store just to browse and ended up purchasing 2 headbands! Their headbands are very comfortable and cute on, even for adults! Seriously if I could buy them out I would! ⁣Being a foodie, the trendy knotted headband with fruit is of course my favorite! It just screams summer and the pearls and studs add a fashionable touch! I love the colorful sparkly one too, but wish the sparkles didn't fall off after some uses. Pain is beauty tho, because even if it sticks to my hair, I am still wearing it lol! ⁣ ⁣⁣ Ruffles & Ruffnecks is one of Tahoe's oldest businesses that opened in 1973! This small woman-owned business is currently owned by Susan and is located in the Cobblestone Center! The woman that was working was very disrespectful & rude. We needed to buy a child special clothing for a wedding. The selection was poor and so very expensive. We should have driven to the shops in Truckee as we saw the same thing for less than half than R & R. read more

We needed a long sleeve long pants sleeper as my daughter was too big for the ones I brought on our trip, too hot at home to be wearing them. They had quite a few to choose from, fleece, cotton, feet, no feet. We found a pretty one to take home. This store has beautiful high end clothes but I didn't see any warm hats, only sun hats. It's 35 degrees in the mornings and I was hoping to walk to breakfast. read more

Adorable little shops for boys and girls in Tahoe. The name, the decor, the items for sale are all cute as a bug but the prices are sky high for what you are buying. I get that it is a high end store in Tahoe but at the same time, it was difficult to pay nearly $50 for baby blankets knowing the same brand and design is at Target for $30. Remove the crazy high prices and you've got yourself a really cute shop. read more

So I was visiting Lake Tahoe On the 4th of July weekend when I discovered that there was skiing and snow events at Squaw Valley. Well, I did not pack for winter snow games. It was e 4th of July after all. I found Ruffles and Roughnecks by pure happenstance. It is tucked away off of the main road in Tahoe City. The owner/proprietor was very friendly and helpful. She took plenty of time to make sure the Patagonia gear fit my child and explained the special features that more than warranted the price. Since im expecting any day now and cannot ski I was so excited to find this cute kids clothing and toy store in Tahoe City!!! Lots of cute stuffed animals like my favorite brand Jellycat and clothes for boys and girls and babies. Owner was very helpful and sweet. Our favorite shop for our children in Tahoe City! It is our first stop for birthday presents and gifts. The shop is full of carefully selected high quality toys, books, and apparel. The clothes are adorable! The owner is extremely helpful and is often able to special order items that are not available in sizes we need. If you are looking for a product that last this is the place to shop. You get what you pay for and there's so many unique items to chose from- great book and toy section. We buy all of our friends gifts from this store. The store has been in business for ever and pride in ownership shows.
