Purchased a wall oven/microwave from them some time ago. When it blew a fuse and had other issues ( not Ruffoni's fault, manufacturer) staff was tenacious through many hurdles in repairing it and working with our crazy schedule. Will buy from them again and highly recommend. read more

Then Levi phoned the same afternoon and said that he was in my town and could come by immediately. User beware!! The price they quote you for repairs is NOT what they actually charge! The repairman was supposed to check our appliance for a cost of $107.00 and then give us a quote for labor, if it could be fixed. He came and checked it, told us he couldn't fix it after looking at the knob and inside the appliance. Then he told us the charge was $157.00. When we asked what the extra $50 was for, he replied, "Labor." "What labor?" I thought... Then he told us that it wasn't up to him but the people in charge and to call them because they're the ones who determine the extra cost. So we did...and lo and behold, the woman who answered our call said that the "labor charge" is determined by the individual repairman and up to their discretion (or lack thereof)! If you like being misled and overcharged, ask Ruffoni's to repair your appliances!! If not, RUN! read more

We have a new Bosch Dishwasher that was purchased from Lowe's in Santa Maria in January 2022. I called this place because Bosch has them on a list as an authorized warrant service provider. The issue is they are telling us that Bosch won't cover the repair on 3-month old Dishwasher. They wanted us to pay about $149 in advance, plus repair costs. Not sure why they are so confused about this being a warranty repair? Had to call a different service provider. Follow up: According to the owner's comment below, it seems they don't want to cover the repair because I didn't buy the appliance from them? So the only warranty work they do is if you purchased the appliance from them. Otherwise they are NOT a Bosch Warrant Service provider....? read more

I'm not sure if anyone else has had a bad experience with this company, but we definitely did! Short story is: Ruffoni's delivered us a brand new refrigerator which stop making making ice and producing drinking water within a few days. Turns out their installers crimped a steel wrapped water line feeding the refrigerator. We paid $176 to have it delivered and installed by Ruffoni's, and generously tipped the delivery people. Ruffoni's tried to pass the buck instead of doing what was right. They were extremely unpleasant to deal with. It appears that they couldn't care less about doing what is right. It seems that they just care about "making a buck." The owner, I believe his name was Dan, actually told me to bend the crimped line back to a straight position and use it again, which can't be done! At any rate, save yourself some hassles by not shopping there or having them deliver and set up any appliances for you because they don't stand behind their work and don't care about the customer. Additionally, just before posting this I reviewed the other Yelp reviews on Ruffoni's. There is definitely a common theme amongst the dissatisfied customers. If anything is out of the ordinary and you request to have it corrected, you will not get treated well! read more

I purchased a Samsung oven, was told by Alex the Manager that this product was something that they don't usually order. She DID NOT say that they would not service the product. We had it installed and the oven did not work . I called mediately and tried to fix the issue over the phone. We thought it was working and it still didn't work. They have now said that they do not service Samsung products. They DID NOT SAY THAT TO ME!!! We were trying to give them our business and now I will not give them or recommend them to anyone!! They also broke a piece of the corner tile while removing the original oven. We were ok and are going to fix it. The Manager Alex has now said that I told them to YANK IT OUT!!! That is absurd! It is very unfortunate that a business would treat a customer like this when there is an issue. I had a home warranty for my fridge and the repairman from the warranty company took over 6 months to try to fix the problem, replacing parts that were not broken, etc. They finally gave up and allowed me to get my own repair done. Ruffoni's sent Chris over and in 30 minutes he had determined the failed part and where I could order it from if I wanted to replace it myself to save some money. I'm pretty good at fixing things and am going to give it a go. These guys are pros. I will be calling on them if I ever need another appliance repair. read more

Ruffoni's Tech Reggie had to deal with some weird wiring issues in my Avanti wine fridge while replacing the circuit board, and got it to work well again. So Reggie and Ruffoni's get five stars. I'm not so pleased with Avanti, however, whose Customer Service people apparently don't want to know that its assemblers messed up. So many issues with past four / five purchases and installations, I don't know where to begin. And I get it: you order the wrong part, the delivery is late, the installation wasn't perfect, but the real issue here is customer service. Every Ruffoni's rep that we have interacted with seems absolutely ticked off that we are reporting an issue. On the phone or in person. Understand times are tough with Covid, but this has been declining for sometime and is at all time low. Sadly, we won't return. read more
