Poor Rating is for the food quality. Had the blackened mahi-mahi sandwich. It came with 2 very thin chewy strips of fish, it was like eating 2 strips of beef jerky on a bun. The bun was good and the fries were good. No one else in our group had a good meal either. The poor waitress had way too many tables and we had to send someone to find her as we sat for about 10 mins waiting to take our drink order. Overall the service was very slow. The dueling pianos were fun, but we were in the back and they had speakers that had them way too loud and we couldn't hear each other talk through the whole meal. read more

We were very happy with our dinner there. We each had the fish of the day, one Sautéd and one orleans. Meals were both excellent. Nice portion of vegetables which was very nice after a lot of eating out on vacation. Service was also very good. Let me start out by saying that we are locals. We have been there several times before and enjoyed the food atmosphere and drinks. However, this time was far from the others, and in fact we will never be back. I wish I could rate the food from this last time but that's impossible because after being there for an hour we were only given the opportunity to order drinks, that were never refilled. We were so frustrated by the time our waitress came back we asked for our ticket and to speak to the manager. The manager was unwillingly and disinterested in our complaints. We left no tip on our $7 bill, however after looking at our credit statement the waitress took it upon herself to leave a $4 tip for her absolute terrible and unworthy service. We only leave 1 star and wish we could leave none, hoping that this can't be changed by Rum Runners. read more

This restaurant had the worst customer experience I've ever had. It took the waiter 20 minutes to take our order then another hour and a half to get our food. To top it off they told us that they ran out of the entrée when we received the other meals. They even charged us for the item that they ran out of. I would never go back here. read more

The frozen drinks here are pretty good - I had of course the Rum Runner and probably could have had five more. The drink really didn't taste watered down at all and the ice was the perfect consistency for drinking. There were two dueling pianos playing if you like that kind of thing. I was simply disappointed. Having heard great reviews I headed in with great expectations for a "last night" seafood dinner. Our waiter was far from attentive. My order arrived slightly cold and without the hush puppies. When he finally brought them to me you can imagine my shock of only seeing two small hush puppies on the plate! Acme across the street serves a much better meal (6 hush puppies with the shrimp platter!) with excellent service at the same price. The live entertainment was also overrated. read more

If I could give this 0 stars I would! Let me tell you about our night. We are staying at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort which has a Rum Runners on the property. When my husband and I walked in we had arm bands put on us that said we were of legal drinking age. And although this is spring break week, the place was not packed at all. We chose to sit outside, as we are smokers. We were the only ones out there. We had a great server named Bethany who went above and beyond. She was also very sweet. I can't say enough good things about her. We had a couple of Mojitos, which were decent. Now we had our 3 teenage boys with us on this trip, and they had been walking around the resort (one of our sons has joined the army national guard and leaves for basic in May. This was our last vacation with him before he leaves) Our boys saw us sitting outside and came to talk to us. They stood outside the rope separating the "bar" from the walkway. At one point I left to use the restroom. When I came back, I found everyone visibly upset. What I found out was that while I was in the restroom, my husband had asked our server to bring 3 Dr. Peppers for the boys and had told them to have a seat with us. Remember now, we were the only ones out there. As soon as my boys crossed the rope, a bouncer came out and yelled at them "get your f***ing asses back over the f***ing rope!". When I found out what happened, I went in and cancelled our order and asked Bethany to get our check. The bouncer in question was standing nearby and began to attack me and told me to leave, saying something about how he was ex special forces...whatever! I come from 5 generations of military service. Special forces never talk about being special forces. This punk was nothing more than a rude wannabe who thought he had a little power. Not one to take things like this lying down, I demanded to speak to a manager. Things escalated, the bouncer was sent home, and the manager apologized to us. The thing is, had it been a rule that underage people weren't allowed there, why the arm bands? And if they weren't allowed, all he had to say was "boys, get back on the other side of the rope". There was no call for his attitude or actions! None! Avoid this place like the plague!!!! There are too many other, much more enjoyable places to go on this resort. Don't bother with this garbage. read more

Staying in the nearby Hilton Sandestin resort, we came because there is a free shuttle. Nice outdoor seating overlooking a manmade lagoon. Chris was our server. He was excellent. Very engaging and knowledgeable. The ceviche was good as an appetizer. Two of us had the fried grouper sandwich which was fantastic. Not sure if they offer it all the time. It was great and the atmosphere was awesome until one of the security guards kicked us out and was very rude and disrespectful. One person in our party vaped on the outside patio and was told not to anymore but didn't tell the other 6 of us not to. Then when another person vaped and didn't know it was not allowed, we were told to leave the bar. It would've been completely fine if the whole party were told not to vape but only one person was told while the couple beside us was smoking cigarettes. While speaking to the manager he said he doesn't kick people out for vaping but one worker was set on kicking us out because the majority of us were unaware of the rule. My family spent a large about of money at this bar and were very disappointed with the service that was given at this point. Almost no one else there, but we were allowed to sit there with empty drinks for 20 minutes plus. (And we're talking alcoholic drinks here, not cups of water!) They also got my dinner order wrong. Stopped in for a quick drink while hanging out at the harbor. Being that it is a rum themed place we ordered a hurrricane and a maitai. Service was quick and friendly but the drinks were not good. Hurricane was like jet fuel. I like strong drinks but it completely lacked the flavor you expect from a hurricane. The mai tai was on the other end of the spectrum. It was extremely sweet and tasted nothing like a mai tai. I would call it rum punch before I would call it a mai tai. The bartender was using a recipe card so either its their recipe or the delivery. Either way I wont be back for cocktails. We will be back in a few weeks. I hope management reads this and makes some improvement. They had the world.cup on and the restaurant was clean and had a good atmosphere. Perhaps beer drinkers will.enjoy it more than I did. read more

Three of us went in for drinks around 8:30 pm. The drinks were $9 each and even though the bar was full, they would not let us sit at a table because we weren't ordering food. We were very disappointed. Will not recommend to any friends visiting the area. read more

Don't bother going to this bar/restaurant. A fight broke out while we were there and two of my friends were injured. Both the management and the owner did not care and stated they could do nothing to control fighting in their establishment. No loss though, the food and drinks are terrible anyway. read more
