The food here is amazing! The salmon is always cooked perfectly and is so flavorful. It compares with $30 salmon you'd get at a fancier restaurant. The Rubio rice is a nice change from normal sticky white rice or brown rice (which is also good!) The fish tacos are always a hit and the sweet potato fries and dipping sauce are righteous! The Mac salad I got definitely needed some type of acid to their sauce. It was a very flat flavor. The steak was a great cut, a lot of times when I go to fast casual and get steak, it's super fatty and tough, but that wasn't the case here. The best was the service, the worker who I assume is an owner or at least a manager, stopped by our table twice to make sure we were doing good, which was thoughtful considering this is a fast casual spot. Rumbi has been a reliable spot for us over the years. Their volcano blackened mahi-mahi is delicious with salad. Their burgers and mixed fries are delicious too. The restaurant has a great ambiance for families with kids. It's a big space that can entertain parties well. Kids also eat on certain nights for free! Service is pretty consistent across locations. They're pleasant and helpful, and mostly just leave you alone while you dine in. Worth it to give them a try. Pretty saucy, but we've appreciated the consistency of flavors and textures through the years. At some places, dishes may taste different depending on the cook. At Rumbi, it's been reliable meals every time. The Volcano Blackened Mahi-mahi is my go-to with Rumbi rice because it has more flavor and fun than white or brown rice (although the brown rice is my 2nd choice). Fish isn't readily available at a lot of places around Utah Valley, so Rumbi takes care of that for us. Our side salad choices looked the same... his Rumbi salad had the same lettuce but mandarin oranges and my Caesar had the same lettuce but diced tomatoes (weird for a Caesar). The Caesar dressing was surprisingly good for it coming in a little cup, and it's mixed with Parmesan cheese. It's thick, but I could still eat it on the side instead of pour it and had enough for flavor. read more

I love Rumbi! Every experience I've had there has been good. The employees have always been kind. They have great coupons (check out the 2 for 1 app for great discounts here and elsewhere). It's a nice clean atmosphere with ample seating and a bright, tropical theme. I really appreciated the woman who helped me today when I came alone with my kiddos - she got out extra water cups after I ordered, knowing I would probably ask and brought extra serving bowls, without me asking, when she brought the food. It's the little things like that that stand out to me. Their food is really good in my opinion. I always get the luau pork bowl with Hawaiian teriyaki sauce and steamed vegetables with rumbi rice. My husband got Tempura chicken with Hawaiian teriyaki sauce, Cabo style side (black beans), with the Teriyaki noodles. His noodles were good but he was under the impression they can with bacon bits. I ordered the Tempura chicken with Hawaiian teriyaki sauce, Steamed veggies, and Rumba rice. We both loved the tempura chicken with Hawaiian teriyaki sauce, however I'm interested in trying their other sauces. The steamed vegetables were delicious and soft but not soggy. I absolutely loved the Rumba rice, it has a hint of coconut and pinto beans in it. If you like coconut you need this rice. The Kailua pork sandwich was missing!! Now, similar to Cabo Grill, you select a protein and a carb resulting in a rice type bowl. Island burgers are still on the menu and a kids menu includes mac & cheese. As we discovered, you can order a pulled pork sandwich, which I did. Husband went for the Kahuna burger and we shared an order of sweet potato fries. Pulled pork was saltier than I remembered/prefer and bun was on the firm side. I used to enjoy Rubmi and come here regularly, but it had been a while before my most recent visit, and they have made some changes. I was VERY disappointed with the food. First of all, I have to eat gluten free. They have changed the menu and now none of the pork is GF, only the grilled and shredded chicken. I had a BOGO so I tried both of them and was surprised with how bad it was. If I want huge chunks of dry, overcooked, chewy chicken i'd make some at home- not go out to a restaurant and drop $10. Both bowls were hardly edible, and the broccoli may as well been served with ranch dressing it was so undercooked. I always liked their GF teriyaki sauce, but unfortunately when that's the best part of a meal it's a pretty bad sign. Also, with the new menu comes new (higher) prices. If you're gonna be spending that much on lunch there are lots of higher quality options out there. I won't be back. read more

I love Rumbi. Their salads are fresh and have a unique taste, their burgers are surprisingly delicious, and their rumbi fries are my favorite fries around. I eat here a couple times a month and never get tired of the variety of dishes on the menu. Their service is quick and professional. They take your order and let you sit down at a table. They bring your food when it's ready and they clear your table when you're done. I recommend the Aloha Chicken salad, the Teriyaki burger, and definitely the rumbi fries with every order. read more

My husband and I have been to this Rumbi many times and we do enjoy it. My husband has tried many different things on the menu and me having a taste of them. He hasn't exactly found something he loves but he's liked everything he's tried. I love the rice bowl, with brown rice, grilled chicken, and the Jamaican jerk sauce. If you get the full bowl it's a lot of food and super feeling. I also am I huge fan of there sweet potato fries. In my opinion there the best sweet potato fries around. Tried many other places and there's just hit the spot. Only downfall is not a lot of seating so the times when it get busy you basically have no where to sit. read more

When they finally came out it was in a to-go bag and I had ordered it for dine-in. The girls were more focused on socializing than they were actually doing their job. Your job is not hard. Focus more and put a little more effort into it. Also, the food lacked flavor and it has been much better in other locations. It's a great place to go in the middle of winter if you want a little island pick me up. They offer a choice of white rice or brown rice. Super disappointed in how long it took to get our order. Ordered online. Came in to pick it up on time and was told they were just finishing putting it together and would bring it out. I pointed out which vehicle we were in and went out and waited 20 more minutes. My husband finally called and then they brought it out. Right as they brought it out an empty shopping cart came flying towards us and damaged our new truck. If they had been on time, we would have been long gone before the shopping cart got there. Visited this place on 22FEB. Cashier was not friendly and looked as she was in a bad mood or she was unhappy with her job. We placed our order, the Caribbean chicken and shrimp plate, I asked for extra chicken and extra shrimp. Now let's keep in mind I have eaten here before and had the same plate just the way it comes so you would expect them to add more of what you asked specially if you're paying extra for each, nope, my plate came as if it were a regular one. Food is great, I love their aioli sauce, it really is to die for. Must be the sugar or God knows what but it's addictive lol. So I asked a girl that was cleaning some tables around us and she was so generous to bring me 4 (FOUR) of those aioli sauces. She made my day! On a cold winter's night, it's fun to dine at a place that serves great "island" flavor while listening to "island" music! My 1-year-old grandson was bouncing to the beat while sitting in his high chair. To my pleasant surprise, KIDS EAT FREE on Monday and Tuesday nights! My absolute favorite thing here is the rice bowl with meat and veggies. You choose the type of meat (chicken, beef, shrimp, pulled pork), the type of rice (white, brown, *Rumbi rice), the type of sauce (Jerk, Teriyaki, and my favorite "Spicy Teriyaki" which are served "on the side" for you to add as much as you like), and then on top of your rice are your meat choice and a mixture of zuchini, carrots, broccoli cooked just right! Rumbi rice seems to have a touch of coconut flavor and has red beans in it too; it's my fav! I also recommend their salads, soup, and Mahi Mahi dinner. Refills on soda are free. You're not waited at the tables but go to the front to order your food. You grab your own silverware/napkins (over by the soda machine), choose where you want to sit, and your food is delivered to your table (and your plastic number card given to you to sit on the table is collected)..
