    Kahuna Burger
    Nick W.

I had the Kahuna burger and mixed fries (sweet potato and regular potato). The food was outstanding and the prices were reasonable. Inside the restaurant was clean and had a nice beachy vibe with Hawaiian music. There are also some crossover plates with a Caribbean influence.

Let me just say I am a sucker for some good fish tacos! Rumbi's is a good casual fast(ish) food place if you are looking for something more unique. I love the island flavors. The fish tacos are very flavorful but the Rumbi rice kinda lacks. The pulled pork had a really great dressing that pulled the salad together. While the food isn't super rave worthy, it's always satisfying. The service is very lackluster but what can you expect at a counter order restaurant. We love that the place is never super busy so there are always plenty of places to sit. And bonus points for crumble being next door!

Rumbi Island Grill has always been one of my go to places. Everything feels so clean and the food quality is always good. Prices have gotten a little out of control but I guess that's everywhere. I would recommend this place to anybody looking for a good teriyaki chicken bowl.

    Bland, but good ingredients

Just got the standard bowl, but only a half of a bowl, which was more than enough. Something needed to be more seasonsed more because everything was bland including the chicken and steamed vegetables. The only flavor came from the side of sauce. My orange sauce helped, but wasn't enough flavor either.

this place is definitely not hawaiian. was pretty disappointed in the food. the fries were probably the only good thing here. service was good and nice atmosphere. the sweet pork salad doesn't really go with everything in it. different for sure.

I order salmon on salad The salmon was amazing and cooked perfectly. However the salad base was store-bought bagged and not worth the money, Ipicked out smaller. Peices . ..Soup was not very flavorful but hearty with carrots onions and chicken. My biggest problem was listening to the cook yak loudly about preference in liking wide big Asses on girls for dating very inappropriate chatter...the whole place was uncomfortable. Manager should be aware..give warnings

Delicious kid's meal teriyaki bowl (sauce on the side) plus the $10 gift card I won.

I'm so happy to see that a Rumbi went in close to my house. Their teriyaki chicken bowls are terrific! This location is fairly large and has a nice, airy feel to it. There are also a few tables out front if you want to dine al fresco. As is usually the case with a brand new restaurant, the staff is really friendly and helpful. Since we came opening week, they had a wheel to spin for prizes. I won a $10 gift card - yay! Tip: If you don't have a large appetite, the kid's meal chicken teriyaki bowl is a great option.

Chicken with Hawaiian Teriyaki, white rice and Rambo style.

It was good. I picked the Cabo style which was the beans and bacon option instead of veggies. If you want a Mexican taste added to the dish, Cabo is the way to go. I wasn't a fan of this because it took away from the Hawaiian Teriyaki flavor.

Glad I arrived when I did because several groups came in after seating myself. It looks like street parking and adjacent businesses have spaces which might be available otherwise. Atmosphere 3/5 Although I enjoyed the artwork, this is essentially a small fast food like restaurant. Very small dining room with awful acoustics. Guests of more than two bring the conversation level fairly high and the group of five who arrived behind me had the place uncomfortably loud. It reminded me of my ASU Chuck Box days. Service 4/5 Being my first visit I wish there could have been more time to have the Menu selections explained. I defaulted to my order takers recommendations. As it turned out those suggestions were nice. Food 5/5 I choose the Arroz Con Pollo Jalapeño & Ham popper Empanada Sopa Verde The Aaroz Con Pollo was unique, fresh and delicious. Interesting creation with exciting flavors. I would order this again. Great portion. The Jalapeños & Ham popper Empanada was on the small side when compared to Mexican bakeries I purchased them at. That said the selections here are many and unique! Mine was outstanding. The Jalapeño popper and ham in their perfectly cooked pastry complimented each other so well, I was not disappointed with this recommendation and would order this again! Sopa Verde was a great portion. It included premium garden vegetables including spinach, rice, alvacado, peas, fresh white chicken meat and a salsa verde that added another flavor. This was a wonderful palette treat and another item I would order again. For me Food is this restaurants strong point. Atmosphere driven by acoustics not as much. I shared this was my first time having Dominican food. She explained the food was flavorful without being too spicy. I decided on the Pollo Guisado- Braised chicken with full or flavor. The chicken included 2 thighs and a leg and was extremely tender and was served with the choice of White Rice and Beans or Moro and a small salad. The chicken had a flavorful sauce over it when served. I did ask for an additional side to use with the chicken and rice. My wife had Chuleta al Sarten - Grilled pork chops. The meal included 2 pork chops and the same side options as mine. The pork was tender and blended well with the Moro rice. She also added some of the sauce I got to her dish. Authentic Jamaican served right in Chandler AZ. We were warmly welcomed upon entering the establishment. After weighing various options on an extensive menu. I decided on the tilapia fillets Escovitch style with the side of steamed vegetables (shredded cabbage and carrots that was amazing) and festivals. My wife opted Bone in brown stew chicken with a side of rice & beans and festivals. The wait for the food to served was reasonable given that it was apparent it had been made fresh upon being served. The fish was deliciously seasoned and lightly breaded. The escovitch sauce was the perfect complement for both the fish and the cabbage. My wife's bone in brown stew chicken was amazing as well the chicken was so tender it was falling off the bone and was perfectly seasoned. The gravy for the stew was plentiful and added an additional taste when added to the beans and rice. Portions were large with enough leftovers for another meal when we finished eating. The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly with a consistent flow of carryout orders and dine-in customers. I would highly recommend Ocean Blue Caribbean and look forward to our next visit.

The authentic Jamaican jerk chicken was packed with flavor--perfectly spiced, smoky, and tender. The oxtail was just as impressive, falling-off-the-bone tender and rich with that classic Caribbean taste. The coconut peas and rice were fresh, fluffy, and delicious, with just the right balance of coconut sweetness and savory notes. Everything tasted homemade and full of soul. For dessert, we had the pineapple upside-down cake, and it quickly became a family favorite. It was served warm, which made the flavors and textures even better--moist, caramelized pineapple on top with that perfect hint of spice. My kids loved it so much they were fighting over the last bites! My son also ordered the island punch drink, and he couldn't stop raving about how tasty it was.
