    Kahuna Burger

I had the Kahuna burger and mixed fries (sweet potato and regular potato). The food was outstanding and the prices were reasonable. Inside the restaurant was clean and had a nice beachy vibe with Hawaiian music. There are also some crossover plates with a Caribbean influence.

Let me just say I am a sucker for some good fish tacos! Rumbi's is a good casual fast(ish) food place if you are looking for something more unique. I love the island flavors. The fish tacos are very flavorful but the Rumbi rice kinda lacks. The pulled pork had a really great dressing that pulled the salad together. While the food isn't super rave worthy, it's always satisfying. The service is very lackluster but what can you expect at a counter order restaurant. We love that the place is never super busy so there are always plenty of places to sit. And bonus points for crumble being next door!

Rumbi Island Grill has always been one of my go to places. Everything feels so clean and the food quality is always good. Prices have gotten a little out of control but I guess that's everywhere. I would recommend this place to anybody looking for a good teriyaki chicken bowl.

    Bland, but good ingredients

Just got the standard bowl, but only a half of a bowl, which was more than enough. Something needed to be more seasonsed more because everything was bland including the chicken and steamed vegetables. The only flavor came from the side of sauce. My orange sauce helped, but wasn't enough flavor either.

this place is definitely not hawaiian. was pretty disappointed in the food. the fries were probably the only good thing here. service was good and nice atmosphere. the sweet pork salad doesn't really go with everything in it. different for sure.

I order salmon on salad The salmon was amazing and cooked perfectly. However the salad base was store-bought bagged and not worth the money, Ipicked out smaller. Peices . ..Soup was not very flavorful but hearty with carrots onions and chicken. My biggest problem was listening to the cook yak loudly about preference in liking wide big Asses on girls for dating very inappropriate chatter...the whole place was uncomfortable. Manager should be aware..give warnings

Delicious kid's meal teriyaki bowl (sauce on the side) plus the $10 gift card I won.

I'm so happy to see that a Rumbi went in close to my house. Their teriyaki chicken bowls are terrific! This location is fairly large and has a nice, airy feel to it. There are also a few tables out front if you want to dine al fresco. As is usually the case with a brand new restaurant, the staff is really friendly and helpful. Since we came opening week, they had a wheel to spin for prizes. I won a $10 gift card - yay! Tip: If you don't have a large appetite, the kid's meal chicken teriyaki bowl is a great option.

Chicken with Hawaiian Teriyaki, white rice and Rambo style.

It was good. I picked the Cabo style which was the beans and bacon option instead of veggies. If you want a Mexican taste added to the dish, Cabo is the way to go. I wasn't a fan of this because it took away from the Hawaiian Teriyaki flavor.

Decently priced and kids eat free on certain days! I was not a fan of the Orange sauce but the jerk sauce was bomb.com. I would recommend trying the Cabo style (black beans and bacon) and the rumbi rice (coconut rice).

Went here with a friend and we both really enjoyed our bowls. Big portions of freshly made protein bowls.

Reminds me of an elevated L&L. I pretty much only want to get Chicken Katsu because I can never…read morereplicate it from a restaurant. When I tried this place, we got a mini katsu and a plate. We were able to replace the sides with more rice at no extra charge for the plate which was really nice. Honestly, it was way too much rice, so next time I'd just omit the sides altogether if I was to reorder this. The mini katsu was more than enough as well. Each piece was perfectly crispy. I loved the steamed veggies. They were unseasoned and balanced out the katsu very well. Worth the price (which was very accurate to the meal and the quality).

The chicken was really good and cooked pretty much perfectly. It doesn't have that "char" to it that Hawaiian's cook it like (if you know, you know), but it was cooked almost perfectly imo. The rice wasn't a true Hawaiian sticky rice, but close enough. It almost had more of an Asian texture to it. But it was still good. There was a lot of food, of which I'd expect from a Hawaiian spot. The teriyaki sauce was pretty tasty. It wasn't the best teriyaki sauce I've ever had, but it's a lot better than Ono's Hawaiian BBQ (their chicken teriyaki is trash!). The service was good and fast! The inside was clean and tidy. Was it the best I've ever had? No. But it's good enough to share it with my friends, invite them to go, and go back myself. I'll need to try the chicken katsu and bbq short ribs next time.

My wife and I have eaten here several times in the past without major issue, and we keep going back…read morebecause we generally enjoy it. This past Sunday, Mother's Day 2026, I stopped in around 3:45 to pick up dinner with chicken teriyaki, beef bugolgi, tempura shrimp, white rice, and green salad. It was the only meal of the day that we each ate from the same establishment. After I ordered, I heard the guy cooking complain to the cashier girls up front that it would be awhile, but they didn't repeat the concerns to me, so I didn't pay it any mind. Overnight, Sunday night/ Monday morning, my wife and I both became violently ill. I think maybe that chicken that was gonna take too long to cook, wasn't cooked all the way. It doesn't matter how many times I've eaten here in the past without incident. That was an absolutely terrible experience, and I won't risk it happening again, just because the cook wants to get out of work early. I will never eat here again.

Came for a quick dinner, we come when needing a good fix of Hawaiian food and our favorite food…read moretruck isn't cooking. Wife order the coconut shrimp plate along with their mac salad and I had the bulkogi plate with mac salad. I also ordered a side of fried won ton. I think overall the quality of the food isn't what it used to be although I will say was good today. My bulgogi had some tough, grisly pieces of beef, which is to be expected due to the cut but I've also had this dish elsewhere and found it to be really tender and juicy...not so much today. The fried won ton or ok but again, I remember them being filled with more filling and thought these were a tad over fried. The coconut shrimp was good and it came with some teriyaki chicken as well. Overall a good meal and we will come again!
