Kahuna Burger
Nick W.

I had the Kahuna burger and mixed fries (sweet potato and regular potato). The food was outstanding and the prices were reasonable. Inside the restaurant was clean and had a nice beachy vibe with Hawaiian music. There are also some crossover plates with a Caribbean influence.

Let me just say I am a sucker for some good fish tacos! Rumbi's is a good casual fast(ish) food place if you are looking for something more unique. I love the island flavors. The fish tacos are very flavorful but the Rumbi rice kinda lacks. The pulled pork had a really great dressing that pulled the salad together. While the food isn't super rave worthy, it's always satisfying. The service is very lackluster but what can you expect at a counter order restaurant. We love that the place is never super busy so there are always plenty of places to sit. And bonus points for crumble being next door!

Fire Grilled Chicken Bowl with Steamed Veggies and Jamaican Jerk Sauce.

Rumbi Island Grill has always been one of my go to places. Everything feels so clean and the food quality is always good. Prices have gotten a little out of control but I guess that's everywhere. I would recommend this place to anybody looking for a good teriyaki chicken bowl.

Bland, but good ingredients
Brad W.

Just got the standard bowl, but only a half of a bowl, which was more than enough. Something needed to be more seasonsed more because everything was bland including the chicken and steamed vegetables. The only flavor came from the side of sauce. My orange sauce helped, but wasn't enough flavor either.

this place is definitely not hawaiian. was pretty disappointed in the food. the fries were probably the only good thing here. service was good and nice atmosphere. the sweet pork salad doesn't really go with everything in it. different for sure.

I order salmon on salad The salmon was amazing and cooked perfectly. However the salad base was store-bought bagged and not worth the money, Ipicked out smaller. Peices . ..Soup was not very flavorful but hearty with carrots onions and chicken. My biggest problem was listening to the cook yak loudly about preference in liking wide big Asses on girls for dating very inappropriate chatter...the whole place was uncomfortable. Manager should be aware..give warnings

Delicious kid's meal teriyaki bowl (sauce on the side) plus the $10 gift card I won.

I'm so happy to see that a Rumbi went in close to my house. Their teriyaki chicken bowls are terrific! This location is fairly large and has a nice, airy feel to it. There are also a few tables out front if you want to dine al fresco. As is usually the case with a brand new restaurant, the staff is really friendly and helpful. Since we came opening week, they had a wheel to spin for prizes. I won a $10 gift card - yay! Tip: If you don't have a large appetite, the kid's meal chicken teriyaki bowl is a great option.

Chicken with Hawaiian Teriyaki, white rice and Rambo style.

It was good. I picked the Cabo style which was the beans and bacon option instead of veggies. If you want a Mexican taste added to the dish, Cabo is the way to go. I wasn't a fan of this because it took away from the Hawaiian Teriyaki flavor.

Decently priced and kids eat free on certain days! I was not a fan of the Orange sauce but the jerk sauce was bomb.com. I would recommend trying the Cabo style (black beans and bacon) and the rumbi rice (coconut rice).

Went here with a friend and we both really enjoyed our bowls. Big portions of freshly made protein bowls.

There is a seating area to wait for your food, and plenty of seating. You order at the counter and your food is brought to your table. The gentleman that greeted us was super friendly and helpful. One of the things that I immediately lived about this place was that many of the dishes have sizes. I almost never finish a regular size plate, and ordered the smaller serving size, which was still a lot of food (my son has to finish mine for me). The portions were quite large. I loved the little extra touch of the flower garnish. I ordered the jerk chicken with fried plantains. This jerk chicken comes in a sauce, rather than the dry rub you sometimes see in jerk chicken. It was soooo yummy and so tender it literally just fell off the bone. The fried plantains were also delish. My son had the curry. He loved it! I think this place is well loved, as there was a constant stream of people coming in to pick up food while we were there.

I arrived well after lunch and was greeted right away. The space is cozy with island vibes. There's ample seating indoor as well as outdoor. The menu offers a wide variety and they all sounded delicious. I decided on the salmon plate with rice and plantains. The entree was big on portion and flavor! I just about inhaled the whole entree as soon as I got home. Highly recommend Ocean Blue Caribbean and look forward to trying more items!

I did get the boneless brown stew chicken and I was expecting it to taste slow cooked and tender, it was dry even with the gravy on it. Maybe I should have just got the bone-in chicken. I did like the flavor but it definitely could've been WAY better. We also got the oxtails and they weren't as tender as what I have had in the past too. Again, not as flavorful as I would've expected. I was expecting amazing food and the flavor overall was just not what I expected, ESPECIALLY for how pricey everything was. My favorite thing on my plate was the plantains, that's it. Won't be going back. Upside is the service was great! Nice people and nice atmosphere.

I recently took my family to Topnotch Island Flavor Kitchen and it was an absolute treat! As…read moresomeone who lives in Chandler, I'm more than happy to drive all the way out here because this place serves what I believe is the best Jamaican food in the entire Phoenix area. The authentic Jamaican jerk chicken was packed with flavor--perfectly spiced, smoky, and tender. The oxtail was just as impressive, falling-off-the-bone tender and rich with that classic Caribbean taste. The coconut peas and rice were fresh, fluffy, and delicious, with just the right balance of coconut sweetness and savory notes. Everything tasted homemade and full of soul. For dessert, we had the pineapple upside-down cake, and it quickly became a family favorite. It was served warm, which made the flavors and textures even better--moist, caramelized pineapple on top with that perfect hint of spice. My kids loved it so much they were fighting over the last bites! My son also ordered the island punch drink, and he couldn't stop raving about how tasty it was. The guava flavor really came through and made it incredibly refreshing. From the warm hospitality to the generous portions and spot-on flavors, Topnotch Island Flavor Kitchen delivered an amazing experience. If you're craving real Jamaican food in the Valley, make the trip--you won't regret it. We'll definitely be back soon!

There is a TV in the dining area, which was playing the FIFA game. We tried the beef patty appetizer and it was yummy. I ordered the jerk, chicken pasta, and I liked that as well. You could really taste the coconut flavor, it was reminiscent of another dish I couldn't put my finger on. When you're done eating, you simply go back to the front to pay. Also, I think it's really cool that they have the table of local business cards as well. When I'm at home I always look for places that have that as well to find local businesses and what not. Great local spot to try!
