MACHACA BEEF & BEAN I like the flavor and the texture of the tortilla, but I am not a fan of how dry the meat is. The flavor of the bean and beef is also good. It looked to be pinto bean. It also tasted like pinto bean. I probably should have added more of the green sauce. The burrito and green sauce tasted as one would expect. The red sauce was too spicy for me. I always find it surprising how there are so many tortilla layers on the burrito when I cut it open and see the layers. read more

This is one of our go-to places when we can't decide where to go for a quick meal. I have liked everything on the menu at someburros - - I especially like their rice, and I'm very, very picky about rice at Mexican restaurants. The green chile beef here is so good... Not really like any other green chili I've had any place else, but good nonetheless. It's delicious in the green chili beef quesadilla. I do love that they let me order the kids meal here, which is often the perfect size for me. It's a smaller size combo plate, and I always get the taco with rice and beans. It also comes with the churro and a drink. But I think the star of this entire Arizona restaurant chain is the Pollo Fundido, a deep fried chicken burrito topped with green chili cream cheese and cheddar. It is amazing! This is a great fast casual restaurant. Order at the counter and they'll bring it to your table. It's always really clean and bright and all of the staff is friendly and helpful. read more

I had never stepped foot into any Someburros location and finally did last week. It was dinner time so people were trickling in and the drive thru was busy. The cashier was friendly, she greeted us and smiled as we walked up to order. We ordered: One order of the rolled taco special (came with rice, beans, and lettuce One order of two crispy tacos (shredded beef) with rice and beans One Pollo fundido One order of sweet chimichangas for dessert / two cherry and one apple Total spent: $60 The dining room area is pretty spacious and there is also seating out on the patio. We sat inside and about 15 minutes later, we got our food. The food was served nicely hot and the portions were decent. The beans and rice were my favorite and my two crispy tacos were delicious. the shredded beef was juicy and had good flavor. The rolled tacos had no flavor and were super basic, this is a pass. The Pollo fundido was pretty big and it was loaded with chicken! The tortilla was crispy and warm! The red salsa was the bombbbbb! Dessert was great. The sweet mini chimis were a perfect way to end our meals. A lot of the tables around us sat dirty while we ate and no one came to clean them up. Overall we had a pretty fun dinner. I generally like to give places that have poor ratings a chance but let me tell you, SomeBurros is not an exception. I ordered a carne asada breakfast burrito today and this may have quite possibly been the worst breakfast burrito I have ever eaten. To start, this place is disgusting. Like no joke the moment the drive through window opened it smelled bad. The burrito tasted like the tortilla was warmed on a grill that was not properly cleaned and rinsed. I swear it tasted like detergent or cleaner or some sort. A very strange chemical taste. I took a few bites because I was starving and bit into egg shell after eggshell. I ordered carbs asada but the meat looked and tasted more like machaca beef. It was all shredded and soggy. It was so bad after a few bites I just had to throw the whole thing away. Wasted 13 dollars on a "carne asada" burrito with added guacamole to end up hungry with no breakfast at work and with an upset stomach. This is why I am taking the time to write this review to warn others about the poor hygiene and standards this place has. I can only give 1 star because there is no lower rating. I can only hope the owner or manager of this place reads this review so they become aware of what is happening if they aren't already and hopefully addresses the myriad of issues here. read more

My first time trying this place out and I enjoyed it. The service was great and fast ( I went through the drive-thru) and the food was exactly what I was craving. I got the #11 combo, which is three taquitos with guacamole, lettuce and tomato. It includes rice and beans with the combo, but I just got rice because I don't eat beans. Also got the green salsa and it was soooooo good. I'd recommend trying it. I'll need to come back and try other menu items but taquitos are pretty much my favorite so we'll see read more

My husband and I had heard a lot about Someburros and finally decided to give them a try. We ordered Cheese enchiladas with rice and beans, a bean and cheese burrito and a cheese quesadilla. Yes, we really like cheese. The order came with a red salsa and was packaged well (to go order). Cheese enchiladas: The corn tortillas were oddly stale tasting and I wasn't a fan of their enchilada sauce. I couldn't tell what I didn't like about it but I found the overall flavor unpleasant. Rice: Standard Mexican red rice, tasty. Beans: Refried beans, just ok. Kind of bland Bean and cheese burrito: The tortillas were a little underdone making it very difficult to eat. The filling was just ok, barely any cheese. Now that I think of it, barely any bean either. Cheese quesadilla: The best dish thus far, but it's hard to mess up bread and cheese. Salsa: Nice amount of heat, but wasn't a fan of the flavor. I received probably about five pieces of Asada on each tostada, the beans were so runny they would not even stay on a chip and the rice had crusty chunks as if it was days old. read more

Burros are not bad for the price. I got the machaca breakfast burro and it had a good amount of meat and good flavor. Chips and salsa are good. This was the worse customer service i have EVER had. When i walked to the counter the girl was named carla and she was being very snotty and had a very nasty attitude. I have been a loyal customer ever since this location opened. Food and service were great for many years but recently the quality of food has diminished somewhat. The food is the reason for the 2 stars. On the service side of things, they get 0 stars. Tonight was the last straw. I use the drive thru a lot and I know it is buyer beware but I expect some kind of quality control as far as order accuracy. They have been about 70 percent right. Missed a taco here and there, forgot the chips, no salsa, but tonight half the order was missing and the response from the manager was "I told them to check the orders more carefully about 1 hour ago". Not good enough! So with that, I bid some burros goodbye forever. I hope management takes note because I don't think I am the only customer with this issue. read more

I ordered the chicken taquitios with beans and rice and a quesadilla. I ate inside so they gave me chips and salsa. Unfortunately the chips had no flavor, so I put salt on them. Perfecto! Came to Someburros to treat my 2 year old daughter to a taco night, because she loves tacos. Dora B took my order, and got it wrong. I'm a picky eater, and I know that about myself so I order carefully. I didn't notice the order was wrong until I got home and started to get my daughter's food out to feed her. Immediately noticed my portion of the order was incorrect and loaded her back in her car seat and headed back to the location. Upon arrival, I remembered the face of the lady who ordered and got her attention. I let her know what happened, and instead of helping me she went on a tirade on how she believed I ordered the wrong food. I initially let her know that was not my view of what took place, that I only eat one thing here. Instead of just trying to help me, her feeling right and proving it to every patron in the restaurant was much more important to her. Caused a massive scene and stormed off, but not before another customer decided to chime in their opinion since Dora made sure the entire restaurant watched closely. When she gave me my food back, she informed me I wasn't welcome back at the restaurant after they messed up my food. Don't worry, won't be back. Will continue to leave reviews on all platforms, and will be contacting what I hope to be someone in the company who cares. read more

I came here because the other restaurant we wanted to go to was closed (and unfortunately on a Sunday too). This place reminded me of a slightly better Taco Bell with horchata and margaritas. I ordered the special of the day which featured Combo #5 and a drink for $11.70. Combo #5 included a cheese enchilada, tostada, beans, and rice. There is an area inside where you can sit down and eat or you can choose to take food to go. There are complimentary chips and bottles of salsa which can be pretty spicy or mellow but there's no way of really knowing since the bottles aren't labeled. So eat at your own risk! The customer service was great since the food is brought out rather quickly and I was able to have horchata for my drink instead of the fountain soda/iced tea. Even though you get a ton of food for a decent price, the quality is just basic, not great but not bad either. read more

Not sure what happened as this location was doing fairly well after reopening but my last two orders have been inedible. Tonight we ordered through Grubhub and received undercooked rice that was both mushy and crunchy and enchiladas that were so hard, they were not easily cut even with knives. We wound up tossing and ordering elsewhere. Thankfully we were refunded by Grubhub. There seems to be a complete lack of quality control at this location. Worst Mexican food, the Carne Asada burrito #13 (tortilla was still raw). Someburros in Tempe is authentic and real. I should of went to Taco Bell to replicate this food source. Depends which one you go to. The one in Gilbert off baseline is 4-5 One in mesa on signal butte 2-3 Everything has always been good from gilbert store. It used to be our fav place to get Mexican. But door dash only goes to mesa and food comes greasy and burnt from that store read more

I used to love coming here but like the other recent reviews mentioned, it's going downhill. The food is just not as good as it once was. Today I added a cheese Quesadilla to my order and it cost $5.45. I think I paid that much for just ONE tortilla cause there was BARELY any cheese on a CHEESE quesadilla. The soft chicken taco for my non-beef eating daughter was missing and instead we got a hard shell beef taco, and I paid extra for beef on the tostada, which barely had any beans and a tiny bit of lettuce, no beef. Really disappointing for a $46+ order. Also, I tried to call the phone # on the website and it was out of service. Update: a manager reached out and apologized for the mistakes in our order and offered a gift card. We ordered online and picked up from here tonight and it was really good! This location just opened up so I'm hopefully that they just aren't in the swing of things yet. Husband had a burrito and he said it was okay, nothing exciting. I had a breakfast burrito kids meal. It was perfect for it was exactly what I was craving. Salsa is an extra charge if you want green. I didn't try it since we'd already paid when we found out it was a charge. My family usually loves Someburros but it is hit or miss. Today's order was missing items, the red enchilada sauce tasted burnt, bitter and greasy, the tostada was completely soggy, I don't think they fried the shell at all. My daughter's kids meal with a cheese crisp was overcooked/burnt so much she didn't eat it. We requested the sour cream on the side and it wasn't, why add a spot for special requests if you aren't going to honor it?! This isn't the first time we've been disappointed with Someburros though. I know they get busy and everyone is human, but this has happened more than a couple of times. Like I said, we loved someburros which is why we've gone back but paying $40 for 3 meals and having to toss it because it's not edible is just sad. read more
