I have yet to purchase my running shoes from here, because I'm pretty loyal to another running store in Los Feliz, but I have dropped in here a couple times to pick up Balega's for my son. They don't have the greatest color selection but I'm sure my son couldn't care less about that aspect. I turned him onto these because I love running in them. Service is always friendly and they have a run club, which I wouldn't rule out heading out onto the streets of Pasadena with if I'm ever in the area in time on a Monday evening. I made sure to patronize the store on small business Saturday as let's face it if we aren't talking food/coffee this is probably one of the best small businesses in the area. An amazing running specialty store, for both new runners and experienced veterans. I came in to get fitted for a pair for running shoes, because I have maybe run a total of 10 miles in my entire life. The staff was not only extremely patient and friendly, they were very knowledgeable and definitely cared more about educating me about proper running gear and attire than selling me anything. The employee first had me run around the store a little bit so she could tell me about my gait, and then she had me stand on a kind of sensor to see how I stood as well. We concluded that I was around a size 8, 2E(wide), and overpronated quite a bit when I ran. Because of this conclusion, she recommended I try shoes with more arch support. After asking me about my budget, she went into the storage and brought me not one, not two, but five pairs of shoes to try. She helped me loosen them and basically babysat me as I tried on each pair of shoe and ran around the store. This took around 30-40 minutes in itself. She was very conscious of how I felt and didn't crowd me or make me feel like I was taking too much time, however was attentive enough to answer any and all questions that I had. After trying out all the shoes, I actually decided that I wanted to take more time before buying a pair of shoes, but I felt so bad saying anything after she spent so long helping me try shoes on. She sensed my apprehension and actually told me to take time to think it over and come back before I said anything. I think that interaction in itself sums up my experience here and is absolutely unbelievable. The store employee advised me that as a student this was a big investment and told me to think about it before buying a pair of shoes. I was more than impressed. While I was there, a bunch of veteran runners that run in a group with some of the staff at the store came in and asked about shoes and attire and just conversed with each other. I could tell that the store was not only educational but sold their stuff at a competitive price point, because all the runners seemed to know what they were talking about and made it clear that they came to 'Run with us' for all their gear. The brands of shoes that they carried consisted mostly of: Brooks, Mizuno, Adidas, New Balance, Basics, and Pearl Izumi. Some of the runners at the store told me that they stocked more of the better quality shoes and less of the fashionable,trendy ones. read more

Wowzers Ok I am going to admit something....... I have never purchased a pair of running shoes in my LIFE. I figure all shoes are made of running right??? NOOOOOOOOOOOO this is not the case. And after joining a running club I decided to pay Run With Us a visit to see just what these "running shoes" were all about. When I arrived I was immediately overwhelmed by the selection. I imagined maybe 2-3 selections possibly 2 different colors to choose from. Nope they had many brands and types and colors to choose from. The sales rep (or whatever you call the staff) was EXTREMELY helpful. He approached me and asked what I was looking for and when I explained I was a virgin to the whole running shoe ordeal he understood and helped out. He measured my foot (which I turned out to be a 6.5 when usually i by a 5.5 I guess they run different) and then he looked at my stride to help choose what support I needed. He got my three different selections (all in differing colors) with the support I needed. And when I stepped into those shoes......OMG I'm sure I experienced something fantastic such a cock slipping into a cushioned vag cus boy was it heaven! My feet have never been pampered by such a comfy shoe in its life. I felt like I could run miles on miles on miles!! I ended up spending close to $100 (with $10 off with a check-in). I was due for some new running shoes but had been putting it off for the longest time. While in New York and walking around I was wearing my Saucony running shoes but I had pain in my feet and lower back the entire time there. I knew it was probably my shoes and it was time. Upon arriving back into town and after my Epilepsy walk at the Rose bowl my friend told me about Run with Us. So I decided to go after lunch. The store is well equipped with many running variety of running shoes and accessories. Our helper was very knowledgeable about his stock of shoes and took my measurements and gave me a detailed explanation on why he chose the shoes for me. He was not pushy or try to up sell me on more expensive shoes but just gave me the information I needed. If you need running shoes, and you're in Pasadena, go to Run with Us. These guys know their stuff and they have a great selection. The store is staffed with elite runners and trainers and they spend as much time with you as you need. All are helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. They even let you take the shoes out for a run around the block. The store carries all the top running brands with the notable exception of Nike (I believe this is a silent and intentional protest). They also have a large selection of running apparel. Street parking is poor so park in back or around the corner on Locust. read more

My girlfriend needed new running shoes and since we are planning on running a half marathon in a few months we decided it was time to get her some higher quality running shoes. The place is a little hard to find and there is very little parking in the lot, but once you get inside the store is decently large and there were plenty of employees to help us out. The employee who helped us out where very knowledgeable and thoughtful when it came to selecting what kind of shoe would be best given arch support needed and the kind of distance we will be running. I didn't know if I was "legit" enough to enter a boutique store for real runners, but they were so welcoming and I'm so glad I went in! The salesman helped me find the right fit, talked about my fitness goals, and watched my gait to help me find the perfect pair of shoes. They'll even let you take them on a test run around the block. Which is nice and refreshing and so different from a box store mentality. I went in to get new running shoes but I had no idea what I wanted or needed. I only knew that I am an under-pronator. So I needed something with LESS arch support. And the gal pulled out lots of suggestions and explained each one and why she thought they would work. I really liked the Mizunos but they didn't fit my feet right. I loved the Brooks but I'm not ready to go minimalist. So I settled on good old Asics. I love them. My brother took me to here when i told him about getting running shoes. There is a lot of hype over Roshee runs, and Nike flex i'm not saying that they are bad shoes but "Run with us" actually caters to your needs. (In this case my knees... Jk) My brother and I have flat feet, so they offer running shoes with arch support. I'm not the type of person to run very often or very far, but the day I picked up a pair of asics gel-kayano 20 I took it to the gym to try out the differences. My time and over all distance was better, not saying much since I did a mile in 15 minutes oppose to .85 The girl who helped me out had me walk around the store with my bare feet to check my strides in my walk as well as the way my feet step on flat ground. She brought out a few pairs for me to try on, I walked around the store with them as she tells me about their weekly group runs. I settled on my Asics after half an hour of debating. $160 shoes, but i'll tell ya its like walking on clouds. The gel provides enough resistance to give me an arch support at the same time each step feels like a miniature tempurpedic mattress for my toes. I'm gellin' like a Melon right now. You should totally check it out, if your on your feet all day these shoes could definitely change your life. Can't say much for the look though, i'm used to rockin' pumas, supras, and creative recs. read more

Bought shoes on 1/19/18. In 3 weeks, One shoe developed a hole on the heel inside and a tear on the top edging. Manager blamed my running style and refused to even issue store credit. He said it was "no problem" losing a customer and getting a crap review on Yelp. So here it is. I have never encountered this attitude from a retailer. Oh, by the way. I haven't run at all in these shoes. Just walked. I'd worn the same brand - ordered on line -.for 20 years. No problem. Decided to try to support local business. Picked the wrong one. Glad this guy doesn't manage my business. Motto must be "The Customer Is Always Wrong." I will do what I can to steer people away from this store. I was looking for a store that could help me purchase a good quality running shoe after looking at my gait and discussing my running needs. That's what I got here. The associate was friendly and asked me what my needs were. He watched me walk a couple of times and then measured my foot. He brought me three different brands of shoes and I tried on all of them, walking around the store with each. I also asked them for information on running clubs and coaches and they were able to provide that in a very handy format. Overall the store was exactly what I was looking for. I love coming here to shop for my running shoes.....why? Here are a list of reasons: 1. The staff is super friendly, detail oriented. You walk in, know what price range you want, they will find out what you need, and will take the time to help you from the beginning till the end of your purchase. 2. The staff will do a fitting for you: what is that? They will have you do a few things, follow their instructions and they can find out what type of feet you have and what type of shoes you need! i.e. flat feet, high arch.....this determines what type of shoe with the appropriate support for you. 3. Try it on! You get to try out 1 pair, 2, or 3, or 4 or 5 or even like me, I tried 6 pairs! I even got to go outside and do a few laps. The sales person suggested I try them all out and see what feels the "best", what other shoe place will let you run out before you buy? 4. Selection of shoes are great and they do a good job having all the specialized brands that you may or may not see at a regular shoe store. 5. Price is decent, now remember, every sport requires the right gear, even though most of the high end shoes will cost you over $100.00+, you do want to be able to maintain your body to keep up with your runs right? I support this local store and I highly recommend anyone going here for a good fit and finding the right pair of running shoes. read more

I been coming to this store for years since my running journey and been pleased with their services. Today I took my running shoes in for them to tell if it is time for new ones. Art is extremely helpful and explained to me why my old shoes are no longer good for my running since I have couple races coming up. He is very knowledgeable with the shoes and immediately recognized what I like or what my feet like. We tried on different shoes and I was able go find something similar to my old old NB for support and it feels lighter which I like. I also replaced my much needed compression socks. She answered all of my questions - all of her answers being very informative, and she gave input wherever needed. I recently fully tore my ATFL in my ankle, so I needed shoes that were gonna help me with the swelling, pain, comfort, and stability of my ankle. The shoes I own do not help much with my ankle injury. After talking to a few people, every single one of them told me to go to Run With Us in Pasadena. I came in here, and I was helped right away. The most amazing running shoe store! They stand behind their products and are super supportive in the shopping experience. They check out your feet, gate and your ankles, make suggestions and you will try on 5-6 shoes. I've never asked the price because I didn't want the price to make my choice for me. All the running shoes I have picked were with in a reasonable price range for good sneakers. I recommend it to everyone and if you are going to get into running this is your place. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't have take 2nd place in my very first 5k! Time after time, this place is the Best Running Store! So helpful in the shoe choice and understanding what your feet need. SERVICE: Our rep was personable, helpful, and easy to talk to. She suggested multiple pairs of shoes for him. They clearly know their stuff here. Of course, everyone should do their own research and not trust reps 100%, but it seems like they genuinely care about their clients. Love it! PRICES: I guess they're a bit steep, but these shoes have shelf space in this small-ish store for a reason.
