I will never recommend Rus-Al for transporting my car. We had hired them for shipping our car from Berkeley, California to Atlanta, GA in 2021. The car was badly damaged because of Driver's error. He did not even show up for delivery at our house, just gave us the keys and parked the car in an adjacent parking lot. Rus-Al did not accept any responsibility and we had to pay for car repairs from our own pocket. We had filed our complaint with Better Business Beaurue but still Rus-Al did not accept any responsibility. The case can be seen publicly. read more

Absolutely terrible experience with Rus-Al Car Transport. I wish I could give this company 0 Points! I needed to transport my brand new 2021 GMC Yukon Denali from GA to CA. The vehicle had an accident during the transportation. I received the damaged vehicle and paid full amount to them. I claimed to insurance however they didn't submit properly document to insurance company. They are ignoring all requests from insurance agents, adjusters and body shop. Finally I paid the insurance deductible for $2,500 from my pocket to release the vehicle from the body shop. My daughter rented from Ameri-freight, who sub-contracted the agreement to these jerks. They are unprofessional, rude, lying thieves. They will deliver your car whenever the hell they want and continue to tell you that they have "10 days", regardless of what the agreement says. Ameri-freight was unable/unwilling to do anything to resolve the issue as well. Rus-Al refunded $150, which was a paltry sum, in comparison to the out-of-pocket expenses that we had to pay for car rentals and Ubers until the car arrived. I can only speak to my experience, but my truck was delivered across the country with no issues. Not sure of the negative reviews. Arranging pickup: - Jose (driver) called me the day before scheduled pickup -- opening the line of communication. Stress-free. Pickup: - Literally outside of my apartment complex parking garage (not gonna lie, was not expecting this. was gonna take an uber to wherever he landed) - Jose logged the condition of my truck before I even did -- and gave me plenty of time to record my own video. - Answered my questions, signed the paperwork and when about his business. RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! The insurance company won't pay unless they got confirmation from the shipping company. But the shipping company won't give anything. You have to pay for any damage they cause. The delay mentioned in other posts is just tiny little problem with this company. They shipped my car three days later than the latest estimated arrival date and within the last three day the driver kept telling me wrong estimation. I had while during the three days because he kept saying he would arrive in several hours but then he didn't. The real problem is that THIS COMPANY DOESN'T RESPOND BUT BLOCK YOUR PHONE NUMBER AFTER THEY DAMAGE THE CAR!! THEY TRY TO GET AWAY BY TRICK YOU TO SIGN. The car was shipped with bumper damaged. The driver didn't ask me to sign anything at the destination. He asked me to send the photos to their claim department two days after the arrival date. Then they send me a bill of lading with photos and signatures obtained at the the origin. YES, HE MADE ME SIGN TWICE AT THE ORIGIN. He showed me a small hand held device with a small screen showing only the window for signature at the origin. He didn't show me the document the signature was for. After I signed, he said there was some issue and had me signed again. Then he used the two signatures as obtained at origin and destination in the BOL. But the driver made a mistake that he sent me the BOL at the origin. I tried to contact then after the damaged car arrived. But they kept saying the person in charge was in vacation or didn't take my call. They make different excuse such as asking me to dial a non-existing number and then blocked my phone number. After I filed the claim to the insurance company, they don't respond to the insurance company. The insurance company had to wait for 60 days but told me the claim was declined because the lack of cooperation from the shipper. It's been three months since the car arrived but the damage still can't be fixed. I already spent weeks calling different parties. Update: 7 month since car arrived. The driver said he would pay for the repair and asked me to have an estimate from a body shop 50 min from where I live but still didn't pay. He kept make promise but never hold it. He asked me not to work with company but he kept stalling. I don't know if he will pay. Update: Peter Pottinger, the driver, after have played me for 8 months finally took off his mask, told me he won't pay me. During these 8 months, he sent me to a body shop which is far from my home, kept promising me he would pay, all kinds of lies. After he found a new job, he stopped acting like a good person. STAY AWAYFROM THIS COMPANY!!! I have transported vehicles in the past and I have never had a more horrible experience. I missed three days of work because they failed to keep me informed of delays or problems. I was told the vehicle would arrive on a particular day and it never did without any phone call or text. The driver finally texted that he broke down along the way and he would arrive in two days. That was my second and third missed day of work as I waited for the vehicle. Then my vehicle and the driver went missing for five Days!!! No phone calls, no texts. Once it was finally delivered the driver stated he advised his dispatch and they should have kept me informed. Rus-Al picked up my car on Wednesday Aug 23. They had promised to pick it up on Tuesday Aug 22, but allegedly the truck was broken down. They promised to deliver my car the following Mon 28 or Tuesday Aug 29 to Northern California. It didn't happen. The only time I got a call from them was on Friday Aug 25 to inform me the truck was broken down in Texas and needed a part. They promised to call me as soon as the truck was on its way. I called them the following Tuesday, Aug 29 to find out the truck was not yet fixed. I find it hard to believe drivers have been sitting doing nothing for 5 days and being put up in hotels. (?) They could have rented a truck. They could have loaded the cars to another truck. There are many scenarios. It is now Tuesday Sept 5 and I still have no car. I have not heard from them. I am praying I get my car. I am praying I am overreacting, but based on the other stories here about drivers running red lights with cars, damaged cars, I am terrified of what I will find if my car ever does get delivered. I have been advised to file a car theft report with the police in Georgia where my car was picked up. It does not take 2 weeks to drive across the country, even with a flood in Texas. My hope is that I can upate this report with a happy ending, but this company never calls me back. The auto broker, AA Auto Transport arranged this. read more

If service companies were restaurants, Rus-al makes Comcast look like a place with 2 Michelin stars. Writing this as I wait for the truck driver, who is now over 6 hours late to his own 3 estimated times ("morning", before 12PM, 12:45-1:30PM, and 3PM). (And waiting post-delivery to post.) I needed my car shipped from East Bay to Atlanta, and was assigned Rus-Al by Midsommar Services. While Midsommar has been easy and pleasant, this shipping company (or at least the guy I was assigned to) has been the exact opposite. First things first - they will NOT call you 24 hours prior to pick up. In fact, explicitly don't think they need to or care, but are aware that it's something that the office expects. When you call, they'll tell you that you have to call the driver. I'm not sure why, as they don't give you any information either. It started getting pretty close to the scheduled delivery date, and I hadn't heard anything, and my car was still physically with me. It takes anywhere from 32-36 hours to drive to Atlanta from here, so at this point it's guaranteed to be late (9/3). I called the driver on Tuesday, and he that he'll be in the San Jose area for delivery that night (8/30), and can make it over the next morning (8/31). He asks me to text him my address, and the make and model of the car so that it'll be easier, I do that, and don't hear back from him until after I called at 12PM the next day. I would have been fine if he told me he couldn't come until the evening, he basically wasted my entire last day in the bay by giving me incorrect time estimates. If you can't come until 3PM, please don't tell me "in the morning, prior to 12PM, then 12:45-1:30PM, then call me at 2PM to tell me 3PM, then at 3:15PM to tell me 4PM), then getting irritated when I asked where he was. He made it seem like it would be SUCH a hassle to get to me because he was in SF, had to go to Tracy, etc. Well, that might've been a great excuse had you not already told me that you were in San Jose the day prior (I mentioned the car has been ready since Monday). 3PM came and went, at this point I've already acquiesced to this cycle of being given a pick up time, being called 15 minutes past the pick up time with some excuses of why he hasn't come. He finally comes to pick up my car at 4:45PM. I chatted with him for a bit about his previous pick up and deliveries. He was a pretty nice guy and I realized he didn't have much control over the situation. I do think that the booking company does over-promise expectations, so I just lowered mine and went with it. I had 0 hope that my car would remotely be on time at this point - he would be in the bay for another day and it takes 32-36 hours excluding rest time to drive to Atlanta from SF. I ended up having to rent a car for 4 days + carless for another day, but I finally got my car on 9/6/2016 without any obvious damage. Another thing that I have to mention is that you have to pay $800 in either cash, or cashier's check to Rus-Al. Whatever booking company you used, despite them having your credit card number on file will not pay that company without a 3% fee. I let Midsommar know that was very unclear because my driver was late both times due to no one being ready to pay so each car delivery also included a trip to to the bank (which I was tried to prepare for by asking if I needed to pay him directly back in CA, which the driver said no to...but the answer ended up being yes). Honestly, if you have the time, I recommend just driving your car over. It'll be much cheaper (seriously, with gas + hotel too) save you the hassle, and you'll get some great views. I do plan on moving back West at some point, but this will be my first and last time shipping my car (at least with this company). read more

They took my car on Tuesday in Atlanta, telling me they'll be heading out to California on Thursday morning to have it delivered by Monday. They didn't leave Atlanta till Saturday afternoon. At delivery, the driver did not let me fill out the Bill of Laden form (describing any scratches or dents on the car). He said, "No I'm not going to let you put anything down on this form". When asked for a cash receipt for my payment, he said "I don't have anything for that"; so expecting me to hand over $800 to him, not to fill out any documentation for any damages to my car (which there were a few) and basically he walks away with the cash. Just a bunch of thug attitude from beginning to end. No professionalism whatsoever. Would NEVER use them again!!! read more

I had a fantastic experience with Rus-Al and driver Stacey Roberson in particular. They named a very fair price and were flexible with me at every step of the road. I was able to give them my truck just moments before going to the airport and it arrived 4 days later in Atlanta at lunchtime. I've made that drive before, and it probably would've taken me that long by myself and with hotels and gas, it would've been the same or even more expensive to drive it myself. The driver immediately answered any questions I had and stayed in contact me throughout the entire process. I was terrified after reading these yelp reviews, but there's obviously enormous skew with the people who decide to write reviews. Don't ship your car through RUS-AL inc of Cummings GA, This is an experience I regret having with them, I paid $800 to ship my car and when they delivered it a 175 miles was added to it and I was given a discount on that , but after washing my car I realized that my break and tires wear off., so I called the customer service and explain to him what had happened, he was a very rude fella shouting on the phone in a disrespectful way that there's nothing they can do and he hung up on me.,so am going to file a report on the company because I don't know where they drove my car too and don't know what they had done with it. Just saw a truck doing 75mph in California where the truck speed limit is 55. Also same truck tried swerving at a car 3 times. Truck number was 106, it was yellow and loaded with cars. This driver needs to have his cdl revoked before he kills someone! read more

March 10th 2016 Rus-AL, Inc picked up my wife's 2004 Lexus RX330 to transport to Sacramento Ca. At the time of pick up I asked the driver when we could expect the car to arrive in Sacramento. The driver told me that the car would be in Sacramento no later then Wednesday or Thursday the following week (3/16 or 3/17). Needless to say the vehicle did not arrive on either of those 2 days. The driver did not deliver the vehicle until Tuesday 3/22. On 4/5/2016 we receive mail from the Newark Ca police department. The letter is a photo of the driver driving our car in Newark getting pulled over for running a red light and failure to stop. There is a clear photo of the driver and our tags this occurred on 4/20/2016... Bottom line I would not use this company to transport anything... I am pursing legal action against this company. read more

I was pawned off to RUS AL by Door to Door Transport. I wouldn't recommend either service to transport a vehicle. They picked up my car in Snellville GA to be delivered in Santa Clara, CA. After 7 days I called to find out about delivery of my car. Their dispatch service said the truck broke down and my car wouldn't arrive for another 4 days. I asked for an update in 3 days and never received one. I explained that I had important documents in the car needed for work. When my car showed up 4 days later, there was no mention of discounting service for my added expense for additional rental car expenses and losing a half day of work. They demanded full payment in cash or they would hold my car hostage in storage. My car had a burning smell when I drove it for a few days, never found out why. In short, poor communication, poor customer service, no delivery or condition guarantee. Reminded me of Russian or Romanion mafia in the movies. BUYER BEWARE read more

Shady... two cars shipped. One put on top & one put on bottom. Driver Sherod marked car on bottom had damage on hood during inspection. It was dirt if anything so you sign with an iPhone that you can barely read. Upon arrival Car on bottom had oil spilled on hood that you can't see. It is wet oil upon arrival. Days later oil dries and your car is ruined. When you call to file a claim they don't accept it because it was marked damaged initially. Hood was beautiful prior with maybe a little dirt. Clean your car read all pages don't sign for marks they make up on hood put your car on top. When car arrives take your finger across hood and smell and feel for wet oil. And believe in Karma... because when someone lies to you it always comes back at them. Same with Good. read more

BEWARE!!! Do not use this company. I used this company twice. The first time I went through a third party broker. The driver told me to contact the company directly the next time. My experience with using this company the second time was horrible. First of all they asked if they could pick up my vehicle a day earlier than scheduled, which I did so as a courtesy to the driver. The driver and the dispatcher (Zack) both lied and told me that my car would be delivered within 5-7 days. This was not the case. I scheduled my flight around this tentative time frame given to me by both the driver and dispatch. I received my vehicle 2 days later than scheduled and to make matters worse the driver and dispatcher (Zack) were both extremely rude and unprofessional with me. I would highly recommend that you look at the number of other companies out there and avoid the stress and disappointment of using this company. I spent extra money renting a car due to the companies late delivery. I politely asked to be accommodated for the inconvenience and was rudely told no way. The dispatcher told me that there was a cancellation so the driver had to wait an extra day to pick up new contracts. Totally unprofessional in my opinion! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Don't trust their timelines or anything they say to try to get your business!! They completely missed the critical pick up time in California. But worse, the communication is terrible. No contact with me at all. Friend and I sent cars, and they only contacted her even though I was completely different contract. AND, she didn't even get notification timely. We had to track driver down, and he kept giving us false information. It was delayed by deadline over and over. Then, after waiting around all weekend, he finally delivered around 10 p.m. in a dark place and wanting us to hurry and sign everything, inspect in dark behind building, and leave. He argued about cut on car that wasn't on form and put us in bad situation b/c we had already been waiting for day and hours and hours because he wouldn't give accurate information and kept choosing other deliveries first, it was dark, we wanted car, and it was so late. We had a wonderful experience with them for our 2010 Ford Taurus. It was a long haul from California to Tennessee. We were charged a very reasonable price compared to their competition, and our car arrived on time and in one piece! Our driver was very friendly, and even drove the car up to our garage when his truck couldn't make it down the street. I absolutely would not use this service again, in spite of the fact that my car arrived undamaged and in a timely manner. Why? We have shipped the car round trip, coast to coast, in the past year. Today was the day for it to be delivered back to point of origin. When the RUS-AL driver called today to say he would deliver my car in about a half hour, I mentioned that the previous driver (from a different shipper) who had picked up our car last year had opted to have us meet him in a nearby parking lot since our pickup address was in an area with lots of low hanging trees. The RUS-AL driver thanked me for the helpful idea. Then an hour later, he called and literally yelled at me, "Don't EVER have someone meet you in that parking lot again. I have probably $10,000 worth of damage to my truck!" He was fuming. Apparently he approached the parking lot from a different direction than last year's driver, drove down lots of narrow, tree-lined streets, causing major damage to one particular vehicle he was transporting (not ours). He insisted on showing me the damage to the other vehicle when I picked up ours. I would expect that if a driver encountered problems like that, he would look for a better option! And then, to blame the customer??? Pretty traumatic experience! Not again. I'm just lucky our car wasn't seriously damaged like the one above it. read more

This company does not come recommended by me. They called saying my car would be in to its final destination in a two hours and then the driver immediately stopped responding. No phone calls or text were answered the rest of the day. The next day I got a hold of dispatch, and they said that the truck broke down, but the story kept changing, it never made any sense and I was worried that something had happened to my car or may not get it. The company was unprofessional in their responses to me. I did eventually receive my car, three days after I was supposed to and there was no apologies or reduction in price for their mistakes. My car was in its original condition, but I would never work with this company again. I booked through MAX SPEED AUTO and was then shuffled into this company without knowing. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional company in my entire life. I arranged to have my car picked up on a Monday to be delivered from Los Angeles to Atlanta. The driver did not show up until Wednesday. The driver still guaranteed to have my car delivered on Friday. Friday rolls around and he is a no show. After calling him multiple times he finally picks up to say that he will not be delivering my car till Saturday. Saturday morning he says he will be here Sunday and Sunday morning he said he would be here Monday. After calling him multiple times on Monday with no pick up I called the actual company. Rus-Al said they too could not get a hold of the truck driver. Tuesday morning we get a phone call from Rus-Al telling us that the driver had crashed the truck and damaged my car along with seven other cars. Now three weeks later my car has still not been delivered. The insurance company still has my car and Rus-Al threatened to keep my car until we paid them. Our insurance company is finally transporting my car back to Atlanta tomorrow. I hope no one has to go through what I have gone through with this company. Truly a horrible experience. read more
