Everywhere you look there's trash. Today while walking my dogs, two "workers" came out to tell me to stay off their property, that the clients are complaining about the dog poop, and something about the "owner"...all while I was A.) walking thru an empty parking lot (what clients?) B.) literally while holding a bag of my dog's poop. Then the employees followed closely behind me to ensure that I was on the public sidewalk. Customers are so "WORRIED" about poop but not the broken glass, discarded food containers, baby items, napkins, liquor bottles, bags and the USED condoms among many other things? HILARIOUS! I hope these two also warn the gaggle of geese to not poop on "their property" either...because they're definitely crapping on their property too. Also-it's probably not too bright to harass people walking by on public property, just because they have dogs.

This location has not maintained the exterior and has badly peeling paint on the painted orange doors and there are areas of the property where the security cameras do not provide sufficient visibility to properly monitor the security of the storage units. However, the Manager (Miss Vivvie) at this property is friendly, helpful and genuine. She is a gem and delivers quality customer service.

Unfortunately, I experienced a financial setback and could not afford to keep using Closetbox. They did something incredibly kind for me-they delivered my stuff to a location of my choice within a 20 mile radius of their facility for free!!!!! They're not just a business, they are kind and compassionate people.

I had a very…read moreeasy time booking my service and the estimates for moving things was fine, although it was a bit strange that a couple of lamps raised my rate/month by $5/month. (Doesn't make any sense? Let's keep going). Evidently there's important fine print in the pick up confirmation email regarding what the mover will and will not do. They will pick up your stuff, but you're expected to disassemble your own bed and wrap all glass and mirrors. I didn't mind paying for these services, but they definitely need to share this information when you book over the phone. I would venture that a good chunk of people have at very least never disassembled a bed. I called them twice to let them know I would need help. Evidently this was confusing each time I told them because they all seemed to forget I told them. Then the day of the pick up came. I went to my old apartment and wrapped the glass I could lift myself. I taped my drawers. All this was done before 9am. The time window I was given was between 9 and 11. By 10:50, they called and told me that it would be 1pm. Then began four hours of back and forth and an utter inability to contact those actually picking up my stuff. They finally arrived at 440. 20 minutes before my service elevator reservation was up. I had to ask for an extension and the building was not happy-they shockingly like to plan for convenience for their inhabitants coming from work. The movers did fine, although they grumbled quite a bit about helping me wrap the things I'd mentioned several times that I would need help with. But the attitude was very, "we have no idea why you're so put out." Um...I get running behind. But 6-8 hours late is bulls*it. The company credited me $25 for my trouble but I have to say, this doesn't begin to cover it. Closetbox then said a customer service rep would be contacting me to address my complaints. Evidently someone called and failed to leave a msg. I think they're scared of me, but all I've done is express dissatisfaction and I think I should be credited for a month for the awful service + extreme delay.

The overhead light in my unit has never worked. One time I went in on a Sunday and the exit gate was broken. I had to go in and talk to someone on the video screen to try and get it open and even they couldn't do it. I finally had to park my car on the wrong side of the entrance gate, go back in and talk to someone on the video screen and they had to keep the gate open for me long enough to drive out. Then today I get there and my bill is paid in full but they had cut my lock off and put a padlock on the unit. the cut lock was just left on the ground. I couldn't reach anyone on the phone (they never answer the phone) and I had to go into the lobby and talk to someone over the video screen and they said it must have been a mistake. They had to direct me to an empty unit to get a new lock and told me the combination to the lock on my unit just so I could put my own stuff away. This storage facility is terrible. I should never have rented here.

You can see the terms with AFTER deciding to move forward in the process. This practice is unethical, at best - especially when website design that way. The pricing structure also raised red flags. The advertised "Web Special" is a short-term intro rate. See Kathy H. Jul 9, 2024, review "I have been here 3 months and they have more than DOUBLED my rent." Also see Dennis D. May 1, 2025, review, "Billing is a mess. Quick to take money without asking. Customer service is rude and unreliable." There was also a disconnect between what I was told and what I read. Two employees indicated there could be a 12-month "no rate increase" option if I declined the web special. However, the contract I reviewed allows for increases within a shorter timeframe. The contract also places meaningful risk on the renter. It states the company is not responsible for certain types of damage, including water-related issues from other units. I came across reviews describing situations where renters experienced significant damage and had limited recourse under these terms. See John F, Apr 1, 2023 review (and video), "The storage facility had a roof leak..." due to *known* unrepaired maintenance issue. "Water caused $5K in damage... The worst part is that they want *MY* insurance to pay for THEIR damage... Stay away." Overall: Between the signup process, pricing scheme, customer reviews and very lop-sided contract terms in their favor, I recommend going elsewhere. IMPORTANT NOTE: Marybeth (Mary Beth?) was amazing and went ABOVE and BEYOND what anyone would reasonably expect. She was both extremely helpful finding great unit for me and a refreshingly, professional employee. Clearly not anything like other coworkers. Unfortunately, MB doesn't have authority to make the contract reasonable and less lop-sided in favor of Midgard.

I have been here 3 months and they have more than DOUBLED my rent. Doubled it while I have NO LIGHT…read moresince move in and the AC has been broken for 45 days! I have TRIED to reach them by leaving THREE voicemails, no callback. So went up there and got an email that I was told they'd respond to. TWO emails later, NOTHING. I have my rent on "autopay" however SOMEHOW it didn't go through since I complained and now there's a lock on my unit, yet no way to contact them. Oh, and they add $10/month insurance even though I have $100k of my own. BEWARE! They are NO GOOD!!!!
