This is the first time I've ever had a bad experience at a dentist office. I recently moved into…read morethe area and needed a new dentist. I thought I had booked a cleaning, but after I arrived I was told the appointment would just be an examination. The x-rays were done on film that needed to be developed. The hygienist began to explain my gums were in bad condition and I had deep pockets that would need scaling and root planning, but she wasn't sure if it was deep enough of a pocket for insurance to pay for it. I declined, saying if it didn't make it to the level where insurance thought it needed to be covered, I didn't want it. She then disappeared to get the dentist and came back to say she asked the front desk to ask my insurance about it anyway. Which I was immediately uncomfortable about. Then, the dentist came in and told me I needed to get the SRP because gum disease never goes away, basically not giving me an option, and there was no further conversation about a regular cleaning. I have never had a cavity before. Regular dentist visits every six months, and never a concern about gum disease. They told my insurance I needed scaling and cleaning on all four quadrants of teeth. It took me months to finally go to another dentist after that experience for a second opinion. My gum pockets were almost all 3 with two 4s. 3mm gum pockets are normal. The 4mm gum pockets did not need scaling and rooting. If anything, the second dentist said cleanings every 4 months instead of six. Would not recommend.

I was referred to him by my former dentist when I moved here, so I didn't just pick him out of the yellow pages, but it's always a little nerve-wracking trying a new doctor/dentist. Dr. Gray is friendly and patient in his explanations, taking time to sit down with you and discuss your records personally at your first appointment. His office is very well-run; every person with whom I've interacted has been cheerful and helpful, from the hygienists to the front desk staff. Cleanings are done thoroughly but efficiently so that you are in and out in under an hour. This place really seems to run on time; I've had both morning and late afternoon appointments and never sat in the waiting room longer than 5 minutes. I just wish every medical office could be so nice!

I had recently moved from NYC to DC and was terrified of all dentists and especially new ones. Dr. Gray was recommended by my previous dentist, so I had a lot of faith he would at least be "okay". Well not only was he "okay" I feel like he is the most detailed, sincere and talented dentist around. I had a tough task for Dr. Gray when I first met him: fix my teeth before my wedding which was almost exactly 1 year away. I began Invisalign right away and he took a pretty intense route to get me to the desired shape by my wedding. Because of this I got to know the staff very well and in the process felt like they were friends! It has now been 4 months since my wedding and I have still been going on a regular basis because Dr. Gray still felt like he could make my teeth look even more "perfect". Unfortunately, today was my last appointment at the office and when I was leaving the staff came out to say goodbye with hugs and gifts. It is not every day you find a practice that is so sincere and warm. I will miss them all. I wanted to add a few notes on the other staff who made my many many many visits amazing! Sandra is the schedule queen...she always found a way to get me in with my hectic schedule. Wanda always has a smile on her face and is very sincere!! Alta is very kind and gentle (which was always appreciated). Mindy could possibly run the practice she is quick but thorough and is as sharp as a tack...personally I would trust her with anything. There are many many more that were all helpful but these are the guys I worked with regularly! I cannot say enough about this practice. I am terrified to try another dentist on the west coast, but I am sure I can trust Dr. Gray's recommendations. He and his staff will be missed!!!!

We LOVED Dr. Trinh and his staff. The office is clean! There's a TV to watch while getting worked on. Dr. Trinh is SUPER kind and genuine too!! This office will never try to pressure you into any service or product too!! I literally cannot say how amazing they are and how much our family misses going here!

11/8/21 My former…read moredentist retired in September and recommended Dr. Rosenwald for his patients. I had my first cleaning this morning. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Dr. Rosenwald himself. Shortly thereafter, Joy, the receptionist, arrived and greeted me as well. I was brought back by Dawn who assisted Dr. Rosenwald with assessing my teeth to use as a baseline. Overall, I was informed that my teeth looked healthy with the minor exception of tartar build up and some recession. Dr. Rosenwald was very thorough with his review and having Dawn jot down notes for my files. Robyn, the dental hygienist, performed my dental cleaning. She said there was some tartar buildup and that I should try to close my mouth when brushing to reach the back teeth and brush along the gum which I neglect to do. Also suggested tips for flossing. I was impressed with the technology in the office. They have a fancy xray machine and each room has a laptop and monitor which Dr. Rosenwald uses to look more closely when doing an examination. Overall, the office made a favorable first impression on me for both their friendly and professional customer service and advanced technology. Dr. Rosenwald's office wall is adorned with four awards which is a testament to his quality of work. He has been in practice for over 30 years so he's knowledgeable and experienced. Those contacts were disappointing upfront payment was among the first matters addressed when trying to schedule an appointment. In contrast, Dr. Stanton's receptionist allayed serious concerns about finances by letting me know that insurance would accepted and I would be advised of costs not covered by the insurance. Dr. Stanton truly treats the whole person - giving attention to health concerns that could seem unrelated to dental care. Dr. Stanton performed extensive periodontal work on my gums after my general dentist's office let me know that they extent of work needed was beyond what they could provide. After I went back to my general dentist, a member of the staff raved at the caliber of the work that had been done. I have found Dr. Stanton and his staff to be professional and ethical, evening receiving a refund after insurance and copays had been applied for his services. I'm sorry if anyone's experience with his practice has been less than positive but I give Dr. Stanton my highest recommendation.
