Looked like there was only one waitress tending to the bar and all the tables, so took a few more minutes to get menus, and service was slow for the duration. Never got checked on after the meal was served or asked if we wanted more drink. Cute and clean ambiance inside with beautiful tables and decor. Food: My brother and I split a brisket meal that came with 2 sides of which we chose hand cut fries and jalapeño coleslaw. It also came with a small cornbread. The brisket was ok but had a lot of hard pieces on it especially the ends. The fries were good. The coleslaw was okay but I wasn't a fan of the jalapeño flavor. The cornbread was dry. My mom ordered a special of the day, a grilled turkey, basil and blueberry sandwich. It sounded good in theory but it had too much sweet blueberry topping and not enough savory basil so the proportions were way off but not a bad idea. Just needs a little tweaking. All in all for this particular area this restaurant is decent, but for the price I personally would make something myself. Probably best for a burger and beer. read more

What a unique place! We were here as a Harvest Host camper and came in for dinner & drinks. The peanut butter stout was not our favorite, but the frozen hard cider was the BOMB! Food was plentiful - we had the bacon cheeseburger & the pulled pork Philly steak and both were delicious! The fries?? Oh my gosh! I'm not a huge fry person, but these went home with me!! This was are first visit, recommended by friends. Overall the food had well balanced flavors and generous portions. The blacken salmon was perfectly done with a crispy skinned baked potato(yum) I also had a garden salad which was worth the up charge. The Brisket was very tender with the right amount of smoke. Fries were hand cut, crispy on the outside but not over done, with a perfect amount of salt. The Corn bread was moist ( could have made a meal out of it)- so good) Our server Shannon was friendly and attentive which seemed the same for all staff. We just had a wonderful dinner at the Rusted Nut; I had the prime rib, done to perfection and my wife had the spare ribs, our friends had the beef brisket and the spare ribs. The service was fast and efficient. Skipped the desert as we were all filled up on a scrumptious dinner. My nana lives a few towns over and I'm in town to visit her. Let me just say this restaurant is very different than the diners this area is used to! We sat outside on a nice patio. We started with the baked potato balls and then I had the pulled pork sandwich with Mac n cheese. The baked potato balls were pretty good-- essentially just fried mashed potatoes. The sandwich was very good (a little greasy) and the mac n cheese was also pretty tasty. The service was nice and not too slow. The menu is very southern, diverse and seasonal with blueberry and peach adds to barbecue offerings. We ordered baked potatoes bites, very bland lacking anything notable. The Cuban special was excellent...The grilled chicken was not seasoned at all leaving it too to be very bland...Another real miss was the jarred cheese mac and cheese with no seasoning as well...This place is literally in the middle of NO WHERE...Ambiance is amazing but I would not trek here to visit again...Barbecue sides and dishes should be packed with flavors!!! We went here for my parent's birthday and all it was certainly worth the hour and fifteen minute drive! The prime rib was delicious. Our server was great, but a gentleman/ host came over and asked if we were "just about done" because he had another table coming in. We were just waiting for our bill and dessert. I'm giving the business a 4 because of this. He could have spoke to his coworker, or been patient as we enjoyed our time. The atmosphere is fun and unique. There is even some great decor outside! I don't really enjoy noisey places and it's really loud here however, the food is worth it. My only complaint is I've gotten a hair in my food twice but the waitress was extremely nice and offered to re-make or refund my food and even though there was a hair in it I choice to have it remade, The food is that good. The cornbread is now part of my religion, and their cheesecake is to die for. I will 100% be eating here again, especially now that it's getting warmer out. Excellent place! So glad they're in the area. We have been a few times now and absolutely love it. Last time in I had the 1/2 lb smoked brisket and 1/2 lb pulled pork. I think the meal was called the flat bed. Anyway, it was outstanding. I had an ear of corn with my dinner and they did something where there was like a Parmesan sauce in it and it was amazing! Everything from the food, to the service, to the ambiance is perfect. We will be back! Last time in, we brought my In Laws who also loved it. Prices are a little high for what this area is used to. But this area also never had a place that serves the quality of food that the Rusted Nut does. If you're planning on going on a Friday or Saturday night, make sure to make a reservation. Atmosphere is amazing. The owner did a fantastic job with the layout. As you sit enjoying a yummy caramel apple slushie, you can't help but gaze at all of the little details that was put into the restaurant. The staff is very friendly, especially LOGAN! BEST WAITRESS AROUND! Now to the food, everything I have tried has been 'finger licking good' but my favorites are the cheese curds and smoked salmon!! Been here before & the service was better. Last visit was not good. It took an hour from when we ordered until the food arrived. Only 1 meal was served hot. The other meals had been sitting and had cooled. I was informed there is a new cook running the kitchen. I hope they can improve their time management. I like the food, but the wait time is brutal.
