Wanted to try this place for a while. And decided to do a date night with the misses. The place itself gives off a very old school Italian restaurant vibe. But very welcoming. Our waitress was very attentive and sweet. And the food was very good to top it off. All in all a great night.

Meh! The food was good. The service was great. But the ambiance was not there. The menu was a sheet of paper. Not in a folios or even laminated. Just a plain white sheet of paper. They don't have a drink menu. The drinks we asked for mojitos they don't make in the winter. We asked what they have and again were told they can make anything... except margaritas or mojitos. The bread was 2 slices of the local grocery store bread. The butter was mismatched pads of butter so cold you couldn't spread it. The steak was good and done to perfection, but the salad was bagged salad from the local grocery store with one slice of tomato on top and some over seasoned old bread crusts. The roasted vegetables were cooked to mush, so better to eat with a spoon. The baklava cheese cake was delicious, but again the baklava was frozen and the cheese cake was thawed. It was great presentation but poor execution. I wouldn't go back but I did it for the experience. 3 out of 5 service was great!

A few things. This is a fine dining restaurant. Don't order your steak well done. No. There isn't any salt on the table; your food is seasoned perfectly. Ok. The ambiance; maybe not ultra modern, but it's classic and tasteful. Now the food; we had blackened tenderloins in a red pepper sauce; extremely tender and tasty. As far the entrees; I had Sauteed Pamplona with lump crab in a lemon sauce that was spectacular. My wife had the crab cake. Again, spectacular. My salad was a Caesar with a homemade dressing that had just enough garlic. Our server was attentive and pleasant. This was not a cheap dinner but an extraordinary dining experience. We'll be back.

We had a great dinner in Enola on ourvway back from Philadelphia. We have been traveling through Enola for year and never realized that there is an excellent dinner restaurant up the hill from the main road. We v had appetizers (fresh sautéed mussels and Saltmbaca Flambe), salads (house salads with Ceasar dressing and a tomato and mozzarella salad), and two entrées (pork chops with pureed potatoes and lobster tails with rice pilaf). I took home a slice of a Greek filo cheesecake to have four lunch with one of the two lobster tails that I didn't eat this evening. Thevtwo waiters that served c is c were friendly and quite conversational. We'll be back again.

Tavern On The Hill is old school fine dining: linen tablecloths, attentive service, and a great wine list. The menu here also leans old school, emphasizing meat and seafood classics like steaks, lobster, oysters Rockefeller, shrimp cocktail. The food and service are both excellent. This is a great spot for a special night out On my last visit, we were especially pleased to be seated in what appears to be a new, covered patio area. The space was nicely heated despite February temperatures and looks promising for more casual summer meals, appetizers, and drinks. It's actually in the back portion of the property and not too visible from the exterior--but it is most definitely there and quite charming. Pandemic prevention measures were solid with plenty of distance between tables, mask wearing, and sanitizing between guests.

Out celebrating the anniversary... Great wait service and meal. A relaxing atmosphere allowing you to savor your time. After dinner we moved to the bar and kept the good times rolling... The ladies of the bar were wonderful!!! They helped us take things to the next level! A truly memorable evening!!!

Well I am 2 for 2 with my visits. I am a former chef and now do consulting. I want to tell you all this place has the best menu and best preparation in a restaurant I have come across in years and I travel 40 weeks out of the year and eat out 3-4 times a week usually on a business tab which means not average chain dinner. The appetizer menu is spectacular with classics and some unusual. Fried oysters and sweetbreads wow. Mix of steaks/chicken, seafood and pasta entrees and dinner salads. Owner is an impressive hands on chef which makes all the difference. You will pay for perfection but it's well worth if quality and spectacular matters to you I am usually alone so I like to eat at the bar. Supper great atmosphere for doing that. Bartender is very nice knowledgeable professional knowing when to give space and when and how to engage. It's a lost art in most every place except here. It's my Thursday dinner place on my way to airport. 2 for 2!

The best margarita I have had in years! I got tipsy off of 1. i'm definitely a lightweight

2nd time in this establishment and my sons eyes lit up as we walked in because he remembered how great it was the 1st time. They did not disappoint and it was another great evening for the family. Pamela greeted us with a bright smile and remembered our family right away. She made my sons night and had great conversations all evening. Our server was wonderful and was perfect in every way. I left a little tipsy because the One margarita I had was vicious and was really delicious. All our food came out amazing and it was a great late Mother's day evening for me. Thank you for making it special.

The bar area seats about 7, I think. But that made visiting with the regulars so much more intimate. The staff there were absolutely amazing!! They were so friendly and welcoming and assisted me with my choices. I got the muscles which came with truffle fries. I only had one fry and it was great but I ate all those muscles myself. Mmmm. So yummy!! The drinks were fabulous as well! I will absolutely be back. I'm really enjoying the adventures.

This is a lovely destination and a great romantic spot. I like to describe Note as "small but mighty." The space isn't huge, but is immensely charming and eclectically decorated (and outdoor seating as weather permits). The wine list isn't extensive but is well curated and has a nice range of styles. Similarly, tge French-influenced menu is small, interesting, but accessible to varied tastes. Note clearly has a large neighborhood customer base and "regulars" but the atmosphere is welcoming to all. The venue is well-suited for conversation and interaction. Service is attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Note is a wonderful, classy part of the Harrisburg restaurant scene. I highly recommend!

It took several moments for the only server there to come out and get our drink order. Then awhile for our drinks to arrive, which was fine as she was the only one there. We ordered the burrata appetizer and two pizzas. It felt like our food took significantly longer than it should have, but again the place was short staffed. The food was very good. The pizza was amazing but the burrata was excellent! Our waitress was overwhelmed but friendly enough. I waited tables so I understand how it can get if you're short staffed. She apologized many times and we understood. I would like to try another Bacco in the future, but wouldn't go out of my way to go to the downtown location.

This cozy wine bar was a fun stop for a PSU weekend, while getting out of the college town. My wife and I enjoyed a flight tasting and opted to go with the larger pours (slightly more expensive). Let me just say, they aren't messing around with those larger offerings! They present the glasses in a unique and lovely spiral serving rack, and each sample was closer to a typical glass of wine. There's more than 40 unique offerings on the menu, so we went with a divide and conquer approach. My wife opted for whites and assorted sweet wines, I went with dry reds. As we worked our way down, sharing each other's flights, we found all the wine to be very good. Honestly, we could've bought a bottle of most everything we tasted. We particularly enjoyed the Pinot Noir (see attached label and don't mind the corners, I took the photo as I was removing the label for my wine journal). But what's nice about Seven Mountain is that most anyone can probably find a wine that fits their preferences (or multiple options for that matter). The Petite Sirah, Cab and Merlot are also good choices for dry reds. Plenty of good white choices as well - both the Riesling and the Dry Riesling are excellent, as are the Chardonnay, Vidal and Pinot Grigio. Dry, crisp, flavorful - perfect for pairing with cheeses or fish dishes. If you opt for the larger samples, my one piece of advice would be to budget enough time to drink responsibly. The tasting room is conveniently located near other shops and restaurants, so feel free to make an afternoon of it and support some local businesses.

Hookers Seafood Joint - Garlic Garlic Butter Crab AND Shrimp Fries

Hookers Seafood Joint

I first discovered Hookers Seafood Joint thanks to social media doing what it does best --…read moreaggressively showing me videos of garlic butter crab and shrimp fries until resistance became pointless. One look and it immediately earned a spot on my "we're going here soon whether the universe likes it or not" list. Friday Night Date Night doesn't usually send me into the city. After a long week of people-ing, I typically lean toward easier parking and fewer humans. But this Friday? I was willing to tolerate civilization just a little longer for seafood that looked that good. We rolled in around 5pm and somehow scored a street parking spot just a few doors down -- AND it was free after 5pm. At that point I assumed the night was blessed. Walking inside was...an experience. The space was pretty dark, with most of the lighting focused near the kiosk ordering stations at the back. A few empty tables, music playing overhead, and honestly -- it felt a little chilly inside for a February evening. But we didn't come for ambiance. We came for garlic butter seafood chaos, and we were committed. Ordering is done through self-service kiosks. We selected dine-in and ordered the garlic butter crab and shrimp fries ($13.99), the crab cake, shrimp, and cheesy grits ($27.49), and two Diet Pepsis ($1.25 each). Total came to about $55 with tip -- very reasonable considering what we were about to experience. While we waited, a few people came in for pickups and one very busy staff member (hoodie included) was hustling back and forth like a one-person operation keeping everything moving. A little while later, our food arrived -- already packed in to-go containers, which honestly felt like a thoughtful move because leftovers were inevitable. And then we opened the containers. And then...we fell in love. Garlic Butter Crab AND Shrimp Fries: Absolute insanity in the best possible way. Piled high with shrimp and crab -- and I mean no skimping whatsoever. Garlic butter sauce everywhere, perfectly crispy seasoned fries underneath, and rich, savory flavor that made it impossible to slow down. This is the kind of dish you think about later while staring into the void. Crab Cake, Shrimp, and Cheesy Grits: I am not a grits person...or at least I wasn't before this moment. These creamy Gouda cheesy grits have officially converted me. Smooth, savory, and ridiculously good. The crab cake was golden perfection with minimal filler, the shrimp were huge and perfectly seasoned, and the Cajun cream sauce tied everything together into what might be one of the best dishes I've had in months. Possibly longer. I'm still thinking about it. We ate until logic intervened and still left with about a third of the food for round two -- which I'm already excited about. Hookers might be easy to overlook if you're just passing by, but do yourself a favor and make it a destination. If you love seafood, this is easily one of the most underrated spots around. Big flavor, generous portions, fair pricing -- no over-the-top "trying too hard" seafood theatrics required. I showed up curious, left full, and now find myself emotionally attached to cheesy grits. That feels like a successful night.

The day before, I stopped at the same place to get some delicious fish, but that night I wasn't able to "swim with the fishes," so I came back the second day--and that was the best "swimming in the ocean" I ever did. I indulged in some delicious, cheesy, savory grits along with some delicious shrimp, fried to perfection with a golden, crispy brown outer layer drizzled with seasoning (but not too much). I also had some delicious flounder; now, this fish wasn't any less than the shrimp. The fish was one of the best pieces of fish I've ever had. I know a lot of fish--all the fish in the sea know me, and I know the fish. I must say the establishment is pretty inviting; however, myself being a cleaner, I know that it can definitely use a good cleaning. I did use the bathroom, and well, that was before I had my food and not after, which means it's good, and also the kitchen is clean. I enjoy this place because you do not have to deal with a waiter when it comes to ordering your food. All you have to do is just order at a kiosk, which makes it more convenient. They also sell smoothies, which are very nice as well. I do recommend this place for "to-go" food. To dine in would be okay, but would not be ideal only because it does need a good touch-up; however, the food is always consistent. If you have any questions, there are staff on site. I hope my review helps you make your decision on choosing to visit this location. My Ratings: * Food: 5/5 * Establishment: 2.5/5 * Convenience: 5/5
