This is my first time going to Rustico since it's be reopened. My family and I used to love eating there but unfortunately, the quality/taste of the food did not meet my expectations compared to what I've had in the past. I ordered several items to go such as the chicken Alfredo, spaghetti, salad, and extra bread. The bread and Alfredo sauce used to be amazing before but now it's lacking. The chicken was a bit tough and dry. My husband ordered a Mediterranean salad and it was overpriced for what was received. Lettuce is cheap. Why not fill the to go container? I'm saddened because I was looking forward to the meal so much but after this experience, I won't be coming back. read more

Literally the best Italian food in town. Everything on their menu is good. I have never been disappointed with any item! (Been eating here for 10 years!) All their bread and pizza dough is made in house and really gives it that extra kick. I love getting a large pizza here and having some left over for the next day. Great date night spot. read more

We ordered a large thin crust pizza . 15 mins later a regular pizza was served. We told him we ordered think crust. Server said I didn't hear well . We didn't send it back and tried if we would like it. Took a bite and its under cooked . So we call the server and said we would like the thin crust please and take your time cooking it because we're not in a hurry. Second pizza came out but doesn't have much flavor . Even though my previous review was not the best experience, I reallly do enjoy Rustico. The food is tasty, they have a great happy hour everyday and the service is usually very good. My faves are the complimentary bread and Mac and cheese from the Happy hour menu. I'm bummed they got rid of the salmon skewers which were delicious but a waitress informed me I could get the same thing with shrimp instead. I look forward to making this a regular eating spot again. read more

Then I ordered penne pesto and she ordered the lasagna as recommended by our waitress, my pesto was excellent, however her lasagna was way to salty. RUSTICO is a solid, old school, NEW YORK-style, ITALIAN-AMERICAN restaurant with significant CALIFORNIA influences. should have known they were having "heat management issues" when the (completely amazing, hot from the oven) bread that arrived at the table nearly the same time we did was cooked so unevenly -- one side was toasted nicely and the other was a doughy and pale. my NEW YORKER pizza (red sauce, pepperoni, salami, ham, breakfast bacon, meatballs, sausage) was good. in typical NEW YORK fashion, the pizza was very light on the cheese. the meatballs were dry and chewy and the breakfast bacon had a mouth feel that suggested it came out of a shaker -- but the pizza was still pretty good. here again there were "heat management issues." RUSTICO's pizzas are NEOPOLITAN style (floppy and more forkable than foldable) and a bit overcooked on the top and undercooked on the bottom. MARKY MARK had the CHICKEN VODKA PASTA (sautéed chicken, peppers, vodka-tomato cream sauce over penne) but asked for angel hair and the kitchen graciously accommodated. service was attentive without hovering. lunch was good -- very good actually, just not great. read more

The ambiance was very nice, with many booth options (which I prefer) and dimmed lighting to help create a more intimate dining setting. Our server was extremely friendly, even after requesting multiple servings of their house bread, which alone was worth the trip. The ordered food was also excellent (Chicken Cacciatore was delicious and authentic) as was the red sangria. Calamari was very good too as was their Mediterranean salad. We got the (make your own) calzone and the flavor was awesome perfectly cooked and huge...we got two meals from it!
