We dinned in today and I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of food that we received for the price. The service was excellent and very fast. I have not been to this location since it was the Red Moon many moons ago! They have really got this place looking nice! The decor is typical for a barbecue restaurant. The tables were well spaced apart, the Music that was playing was really good and not too loud there are three big TVs there to watch sports on if you're interested. In all my years in Ennis this is the coldest beer that I have ever had in this town! My husband Mike was pleased to drink a beer and it still be ice cold on the last sip! read more

This was the worse place I've ever had a steak at. We got the 72 hour big rib for an appetizer and it was basically fat served on a beef rib. The steaks we got were way over seasoned, like licking a salt block. Not to mention the tables we had to sit at were uncomfortable, picnic table for a $250 ticket. Just ridiculous! We came to the restaurant for the first time because we thought they served BBQ. We ordered steaks and baked potatoes. My husband found a separate menu that had BBQ that was face down next to the vase on the table. He really wanted BBQ so we ordered BBQ and got the steaks to go. The brisket was dry and the potato salad was gross. On the way home I had to stop so my husband could use the bathroom. The food made him sick. It continued after we got home. Then 30 minutes later I was sick in the bathroom for hours having vomiting and diarrhea. I am so weak I cannot work today and my stomach still hurts. My advice is if you go here do not order the BBQ or potato salad. We have the steaks and baked potatoes but I do not know if we will eat them. read more

Really bad. Bad service and tasteless low quality food. I would give this a hard pass. I'm really not sure how they can charge this much money for such low quality and service. Nothing negative about this place. I had the filet Mignon with a baked potato. Both were cooked perfectly. Ambience was good for a Friday night. Hers was more of a in between medium elevate and medium. Very red in the middle. Kiddo got the 2 meat plate with sides @ $17. He did double ribs and was extremely disappointed with 5 very small ribs. We attended for Father's Day weekend but however we knew there would be a long wait and we were fine with waiting. We waited for 50 minutes and when it was our turn the waitress sit us down and gives our drinks and tell us that that their out of brisket, ribs, and chicken for a while. That was such a disappointment and we drove all the way from Plano to eat the famous ribs and brisket. Great food and service can be a little loud sometimes, but the food is great. I personally love the green beans. Steak is great, doesn't matter if you get wagyu beef or regular beef. Both are good. Live music on the weekends is a bonus if you like that. read more

It came out a little more on the medium rare side than I normally order but it was EXCELLENT! The flavor was on point. I didn't add salt, pepper or anything else. The portion size was huge, and I couldn't finish it. Bonus for lunch the next day. The baked potato was tasty; although a little small, it was enough for my meal. The kids had a BBQ sandwich that was HUGE (not a kid's meal). We had more than half of that to bring home as well. The quality of the food was excellent. The drinks were very cold and kept coming. This was a great find last night for dinner. My wife had the 6oz Filet and I had a 16oz Ribeye. Both were cooked to perfection. Everything was delicious, well I didn't care for the potato salad, because I hate anything pickled tasting, but other than that was well worth every penny. we had heard so many good things about their waygu ribeye, and were very anxious to have a good steak without having to drive to Dallas. There was an hour wait, but we could sit at the bar (if we could find a seat). We ordered our waygu ribeyes and a salad with one, and green beans and potato salad on the other. If you have ever had a good waygu ribeye, there is beautiful and flavorful marbling throughout. Ours had none. It's was not tender and the only flavor was the fat. The green beans were flavorful, but under cooked. completely skip the potatoes salad. One the plus side my salad was good. The service wasn't bad. We had found a nice spot off of the bar, along the dance floor. Love live music, but would have hated it that night, one of the speakers was right at our feet. We had to order at the bar. Bartender was good, it was busy, but we didnt have to wait long for our drinks. Food came out fairly quickly, but had to ask for silverware.
