Fast-paced indoor dining, if your looking for seating check foyer area before you enter.

As a BBQ reviewer I honestly didn't come here to review. I have passed it several times and figured…read moreafter a great Sunday service and my daughter requesting bbq, I said let's give it a try as we're use to driving an hour a way from our home and this place is only about 25 mins from our home and 20 minutes from our church. I normally take pictures but once everything came, it didn't look to appetizing. The environment was classic hole in the wall country. It really gave small country concert vibes. The brisket had no bark. You can't be a Texas bbq joint and do brisket bad. The ribs tasted boiled. No smoke ring. No smoke flavor. Regular pepper sausages had no character. Just mush in a casing. Sides were not worth trying. Best thing we had today in my opinion were the French fries and fried okra. All in all, not a place I would suggest for true bbq enthusiasts.

The lows: the pulled pork had very little flavor, neither of the sauces are great on their own (but pretty good mixed together), and the fries have an odd flavored seasoning dust we didn't love. The mehs: the potato salad is only okay. Happy to note they did serve unsweet tea, which we know is a Texas sacrilege, but it's our preference so it's nice to have that option. Overall, it was good. Service was relatively fast and friendly. Not my favorite BBQ in Texas, but not the worst either. Worth coming back for the brisket and beans alone.

My torta didn't taste like al pastor it tasted like some other meat and there was so much fat "meat" in it I had to spit so much meat out. The green salsa it came with was good and really spicy. My friend's plate with the Gizo and beans and rice was okay she said she didn't understand why there was just one random tomato with the plate. Overall I wouldn't go here for authentic Mexican food.

The moment you walk in, you're greeted with the look and feel of true authenticity. There are two dining areas, and we chose the street-side patio. Here's something I've never seen before: they have a section on the menu specifically labeled "Tex-Mex"! Our waiter, Enrique from Ecuador, was amazing. The chips were fresh, hot, and crispy. They brought out two salsas--one was your classic red, and the other was a warm salsa that was absolutely divine. We finished both! We ordered the Chicken Enchiladas and the Camarones Momia (bacon-wrapped shrimp stuffed with cheese and jalapeños). Hands down, the most flavorful I've ever had. Everything was piping hot and delicious. We ended with a flan for dessert that easily made our Top 5 list. Comfortable, delicious, and amazing. And get this--it's only 1.2 miles from our home. That could be a problem!! Highly recommended!
