Needed a really good beard trim and was on Yelp and saw their reviews so off I went. I was greeted and sat in just a few minutes and my cutter, Leeno, really paid attention to my requests. Hot towels, straight razor and a great cut made me feel good and made my beard look good. While I did not partake, they offer free beer or shots to make your tile even more chill. Joe f***** my hair up. I asked for a low undercut closer to the bottom of my hairline and got the opposite. It got cut much higher than I asked for in the back despite showing a picture. Lost more volume and length than I wanted so now I'll need extensions. Years of growth gone. I won't be returning. Thanks A**hole. read more

Don't know why I haven't written one before, feel bad about it....but I've been coming to see Joe and Manny for the last 5 years straight! My hair is short, so I see them weekly. They are always great with schedule flexibility and make sure to squeeze me in if my normal time doesn't work. Took me about 5 barbers to find them, but once I got one cut, never stopped coming back. So I've had to breakup with my barber because his cuts just weren't what I was asking for anymore. Saw this page and read nothing but great reviews so I figured I'd give them a shot. Booking was simple and straight forward. Set an appointment last night with Manny and got in the chair this afternoon. I showed Manny a couple reference photos, told him what I was looking for (slick-back, mid-fade, trim the top) and let him know some of my problem areas. Best cut and shave in the country. Tall claim but hear me out. I've had my hair cut and styled by barbers to the stars at incredible & exotic locations. As well I've had my face shaved at every base I've stopped through which is hundreds. Joe the owner has undoubtedly won over my choice as the absolute best cut and shave I've ever experienced. The cut is always what I ask for without exception, the shave is an out of this world experience like none other I've known. It's so smooth that it almost feels fake, as if he's just removing the shaving cream with a spoon. The results though are the closest, cleanest, smoothest precision shave ever. Hands down. I just relocated to Austin from San Diego, and one of the main things I miss.. Joe. Once he's cut your hair, and you try going to another barber, you'll notice all of Joe's small details. Example, when Joe sprays the after shave on your neck, and it has a refreshing scent, or the hot towel at the end of the cut. Here in Texas, you'd have to pay more and aren't getting the same level of service. FYI, highly recommend scheduling appointments ahead of time. read more

My first experience at the rusty blade was an amazing one to say the least! It was subtly hard to find at first but don't be afraid to call joe! He was very helpful in directing us to the barber shop within seconds. There are currently two seats in the shop but Frankie and joe are looking to expand and have a 3rd seat coming soon. I asked for a 6 around the side and back of my head and an inch off the top with a beard trim. Very professional and highly skilled here. Joe cut my hair. The best fade and edge up(shape up) I've gotten, period! The warm towel after the cut was great as well.
