We were actually unfortunately surprised at how much we did not love this place. First of all the overall space dining room bathrooms foyer are dated and need an upgrade. The dining area is too bright for a steakhouse dining experience. The staff, the waiter in particular was very friendly however he was a mess he was gone for long periods of time made mistakes on orders didn't know what things were and just fumbled through the presentation. Then, of course, the most important thing the food it was par at best not impressed at all. We had a chop salad a wedge salad. The chop was just OK. The wedge was pretty good. We had a petite fillet and a strip with Marilyn crab on it the fillet was a little fattier than normal and just simply didn't have a great taste same with my steak and the Maryland crab was just OK. After my first experience at Ruth's Chris Steak House, I knew I had to come back--and it did not disappoint. This time, I sat at the bar and ordered the chicken breast, creamed spinach, and lobster mac and cheese, along with a Tilted Pineapple Martini. When I tell you that was the best chicken breast I've ever had--I mean it. I would come back for that alone. The bartender, Drake, was very chill, welcoming, and down-to-earth--exactly what you want when sitting at the bar. Valet parking was also an added bonus, making the visit even more convenient. Ruth's Chris can be uneven depending on location however, I'm happy to read that they will be strictly enforcing a "business casual" dress code across the chain. No more mouth breathers in flip flops, Zeppelin t-shirts and backward baseball caps while you're laying down four Jacksons on a porterhouse. We'll see how vigilant they are especially in AC where come as you are is a religious calling. But definitely a step in the right direction. read more

First time here and I'm going to make it a mission to stop every time I'm in AC! Service was fantastic special shoutout to Judie who took care of us. We were sat at a booth and went for an early dinner. They do have plenty of bar space just in case and I noticed they had hooks so overall the vibe was immaculate. I had the prefixed options of sorts so the Salmon and shrimp with garlic mash and green beans as my main dish which were superb. The sauce tasted like a Thai chili and packed less of a punch so if you're worried about the name it's more about adding depth to the flavor and less spice. The Caesar salad was good not the best I've had but still got the job done. I wish the carrot cake was warm but the cream wasn't frozen which was a bonus. Ruth's Chris is known for a quality experience. We dined here and had a good experience overall. For starters we had the Spicy Shrimp and Ahi Tuna. The Spicy Shrimp tasted good and so did thr Ahi Tuna. For the main course we shared the following: Lobster Mac and Cheese: More cheese than lobster but good flavor. Crab Fried Rice: Too dry. We used the sauce from the Cremini Mushrooms to help with the dryness. Cremini Mushrooms: Serving was too small but had a good flavor from the sauce. Broccoli: Just the right complement to the main entrees. Sweet Potato Cassarole: The surprise dish that completely blew us away. We would definitely order this again. The restaurant was elegant and classy. Our waiter was very pleasant but kept forgetting things, like bottled water, our to go bags. We thought maybe it was just a busy night. My mom and I happened to be in Atlantic City one day and decided to treat ourselves to dinner at Ruth's Chris. When we arrived, I was a little nervous because they had the dress code posted on the door. We were definitely underdressed, but they still let us dine in. However, they seated us in the covered outdoor area and not the regular dining room. I assume that was due to our attire. Nevertheless, our server was very nice and helpful. I ended up getting a 3-course pre-fixe menu. I usually get the filet topped with shrimp. Also, they had a side dish that was new to me...a crab fried rice, which was delicious. Awful. We attended as a party of 15-20 people. Had to wait over an hour for our one waiter to take all our food orders. Then another hour to get the food. The room was hot/humid and then freezing cold on and off for the entire time to a point of discomfort and sweating. 2 of our plates had hairs in them and 3 drinks were spilled by the servers. Judy was our server and she was amazing! We made a reservation for 7:15 but upon arriving there were many people waiting and we were told we had a 25 min wait time. We came here on our first night in AC and just wanted a nice meal, so we opted for this place. The hostess greeted us warmly an seated us, our waiter was also pleasant. Everything was clean with music at the right level enough to hold conversations. The food caused the low marks however We ordered oysters Rockefeller which were ok just salty. I had the petite filet and shrimp: both were over cooked and under seasoned. My husband had the salmon and shrimp which he enjoyed in-spite of the very strong ginger. There is valet parking next door. Make reservations. I typically make reservations for when they 1st open. Hostess greeted us and were pleasant, informed us that we needed to wait for the entire party to arrive before they could seat us, so we just sat at the bar and waited. They have a nice selection of martinis. I tried the Pear and Sage. It was fruity but way too sweet. The sage flavor didn't really come through. This is a steakhouse so as expected, their menu is not vegetarian friendly. They didn't have any vegetarian entrees. The "vegetarian plate" was just a choice of three of their sides. The corn was hearty but might have been better with some cheese or a sauce. The mushrooms were very succulent and savory. The sweet potato casserole tasted like dessert! It had a crunchy brown sugar topping with whipped sweet potatoes beneath. It was a bit too sweet for me, but my friends loved it. I also had their caesar salad. They were generous with the parmesan cheese but it was nothing special. I complained to the manager and he offered a complimentary dessert, like really. My pre fix dinner already came with a dessert. Ruth Chris will forever have my loyalty. During my trip to Atlantic City, my family had a craving for steak (another business was a bust), but I remember seeing the Ruth's Chris sign on the way here. We were able to be sat down very quickly. I wasn't dressed to impress, but I wasn't booted or anything, thank you! There's also valet parking if you can't find your own. My family ordered their respective dishes and couldn't stop raving how good the service and everything was. As for me, I ordered the Cowboy Ribeye, just to prove to everyone I can finish it solo! Made reservations for Valentine's day dinner. Wait was very long but that's as expected on Valentine's Day. We were seated in the outside area where the temperature fluctuated from very cold to hot. Our server Deidre sat us down and gave us some time to look through the prefix menu offered for Valentine's Day. We weren't offered any bread as this is a starter for all tables. I asked for the bread prior to our entrees coming out, still no bread. Finally our entrees come out and my significant others baked potato is brought out missing the toppings that were supposed to be on the side. As we were finishing up our food, still no starter bread. What an absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. Literally! My wife and I were looking for a quality dining experience with our two boys without wasting tons of money on dinners the kids wouldn't finish. In my searches, I saw the Happy Hour menu at Ruth's Chris as well as the fact that they offer a kids menu for my little guy. Being their Happy Hour menu is only available at 'the bar' and I had two children with me, I wanted to see if it was possible to even sit somewhere to qualify for the offer. This is where my incredible experience started. I called and spoke to an absolutely delightful hostess named Shannon. She assured me there are booths in the bar area where kids can sit and eat while we are able to enjoy the Happy Hour menu. She then advised to make a reservation with her on the phone and she will make sure she noted the fact we have kids and wanted to enjoy the Happy Hour specials. Upon arrival, I checked in and provided my last name, at which she looked at me and said, "Oh yes, we've been ready for you! You spoke to me on the phone yesterday. I know how hard it is going out to eat with the kids, so I made sure everything was set." She then escorted us to a perfectly sized booth near the bar area to be seated. She truly understood and sympathized with the dining with kids situation and took pride in her work enough to ensure our comfort and elevate our experience. Thank you Shannon!! Next, enter Betty, our server/bartender. Wow... simply amazing! Another true professional who takes pride in her craft. Her personality was welcoming and spirited. She engaged in conversation with us and discussed a cocktail recommendation for my wife. My wife, a former bartender and server, is admittedly 'picky' about craft cocktail taste and server etiquette... and Betty nailed both! Betty crafted a cocktail with her own personal touches that was absolutely perfect for my wife's taste. My wife is still talking about her drink and hopes it will be as good at other Ruth's Chris locations we attend. Now to the food, which was delicious. My youngest had the Kid's chicken tenders and he was very satisfied. My oldest ordered the 'R Burger' and crushed it. I was hoping to have a bite of his leftovers, but there was nothing left! My wife ordered the Tenderloin Skewer Salad. She absolutely raved about it! It was the perfect portion that was filling but not over-filling. The steak was prepared perfectly (medium rare) and delicious. I had the 'Steak Sandwich'. As was the case with my wife, the steak was delicious and perfectly prepared (medium rare). After our meal, Ricky, the manager, stopped over to check on our experience. My wife (and I when I could get a word in) raved about our experience. Ricky was a pleasure to talk to and manages a very fine establishment. Finally, the bill. The Ruth's Chris Happy Hour specials were incredibly afforadable! A family of 4 ate an incredible meal with craft cocktails for about $80. The final total was higher as we purposely over-tipped. We are already looking into more local Ruth's Chris locations in hopes to recreate this experience as soon as possible! The mood helps you to relax and more enjoy your visit while you wait for your dishes. The server that was taking care of my party was extremely respectful in every way. All the staff members we encountered were extremely kind to everyone. In terms of food, all I can say is outstanding. The steak was cooked to perfection and was bursting with flavor. My dish was the T-bone and I highly recommend it to anyone who considers it. Perhaps my favorite thing I experienced was listening to my steak sizzling on the plate as I sat in front of it.
