I Love me some Texas Roadhouse. Was a time you'd have to drive all the way up to Gainesville to do them, and then Melbourne before they opened up around here; and we did. Lots of times. So, the gaggle of girls working the hostess station could use some basic hospitality/customer service skills. Withstanding said irk, our waiter was Awesome in a way you so often don't see today in casual dining. Shout out to him, though I don't remember his name. Everybody Loved their food enough to rave about it. Love those scratch rolls. Local Floridian passing through Sanford. Thought I'd try the Roadhouse as it's been awhile since I dined at this chain. Sat at the bar, and was greeted by warm staff. Food was good and well proportioned. I had salmon (they didn't ask me how I wanted it cooked, and they should have); It was overdone but still edible. I had mushrooms and a sweet potato as sides. Ambiance was good, no over powering music, and manager came by timely to check in - plus. Timing from the kitchen was great for a Friday night. This chain has changed and remained consistent over the years. All good, overall. I'd definitely choose this spot over it's local competitor, because of food quality, food sourcing, management, timing and attention to detail. It had been years since we last went to a Texas Roadhouse. We are more interested in local and small business restaurants, but our friends suggested going here and we were not disappointed. We happened to be there on a Tuesday which is apparently their kids night. Our waitress, Haven, was very attentive and friendly. After starting with a fried pickle appetizer, we ordered hotdog with applesauce for the 3 year old and mini cheese burger double with steak fries for the 7 year old. The adult had 8oz salmon, veggies, house salad, and shrimp. The food was absolutely delicious. Why did I give them 4 stars? The food was far too hot when it was served for it to be most enjoyable on the palate. The hotdog was too hot for one to hold let alone bite into. The fries burned the 7 year olds tongue. After distracting them for several minutes, I was able to let them eat. Overall it is a great place to eat and is across the street from Springhill Suites. read more

Awesome meal tonight. My steak was perfectly cooked, the potato skins were loaded with bacon, and the ribs were moist, tender, and flavorful. The chili was hot for once but a little runny. Our server Christopher provided exceptional service and took great care of us the duration of our meals. The food here has always been on point for us; however, as previously noted in my reviews, they need to perform a heavy cleaning of the restaurant and restrooms. I frequent here in different location and it's always the same great service, food and ambiance. I normally get the 6 oz sirloin medium with veggies and Ceaser salad. If I'm feeling hungry I'll add the rice which is very good. They always start you off with hot fresh baked bread and the cinnamon butter. The biscuits with honey butter is always a highlight here and we enjoyed two baskets. We ordered the 8oz Dallas Filet, the Porterhouse t-bone and the filet and rib combo. The porterhouse was humongous. Left very happy and satisfied while still having boxes to take home. The loaded potato was also incredible. Over all we will definitely be coming back. We came in on what must be one of the busiest days of the year, Father's Day. Having made use of the Waiting List, on line with a stated 0-10 minute wait upon presentation, we were indeed seated well before the ten minute window, a Big Plus what with the crowds of families celebrating "the Old Man."We were seated with the basket of four smallish loafs along with both butter and honey butter. Our server was Riley, who was very attentive without hovering. Our orders for drinks were placed along with an appetizer, Fried Pickles. We asked for both the Ranch dressing as well as the Cajun style, The Ranch was cool as expected the Cajun had just a bit of a kick which intensified as you ate. We enjoyed both. Placing our order, the wife had the 6oz sirloin medium well with mushrooms and the side of baked potato. I had the 6oz sirloin, well done with sauteed onions, mushrooms and melted Jack cheese with seasoned corn as my side. Each dinner came with two sides and we both had the house salad as our second ones. The salad consisted of various chopped greens, heavy on the lettuces, which I prefer over the full leaf type. Onions, shredded American cheese as well as pieces of feta cheese and six cherry tomatoes. The salads were served before the appetizer was finished, so quite timely, As we finished our salads, the entrees arrived.Both steaks were cooked to perfection, the potato was fluffy on the inside with two dollops of sour cream, The seasoned corn was in its own little ramiken which kept it quite warm throughout the meal, Riley checked in periodically asking how everything tasted, if we needed any sauces or additional drinks. The meal was so filling that dessert was foregone, although tempting, WE were in and out in under an hour and a half but never felt pressured to "speed things along". He never asked and ordered the 12 Oz without asking me. It was $5.00 more and $18.00 for two glasses of Stella draft. Why would a single woman who sat at the bar order the largest steak? The tea I just the right amount of sweetness. The table comes with complimentary peanuts and yeast rolls with cinnamon, sugar butter. The rolls and butter are one of the best things about Texas Roadhouse. First starter we got the appetizer sampler with rattlesnake bites, boneless buffalo chicken wings, and fried pickles with ranch. The same player came out is fast, fresh, and taught. The boneless buffalo wings were my favorite they were on their sampler and my husband was crazy about the rattlesnake bites, which were the perfect combination of jalapeno heat and creamy cheese. We split the adult sirloin cooked medium, a big sweet potato with a cinnamon sugar butter and saute mushrooms. The rolls, which are supposed to be a hit here, were not good like they usually are; they looked like leftover, stretched out dough that was put in the oven. My first time ever having Texas roadhouse. I've seen people raving about their fresh hot bread rolls all over my timeline! They weren't kidding lol! As soon as we walked in, we waited 5 to 10 minutes before being seated. As our hostess grabbed our menus, they also grabbed a basket of fresh baked bread, and sat down at a table. The bread was fresh out of the oven and melted into the butter. It was so good! I also tried the normal butter as well because I prefer it over the cinnamon butter. The Caesar salad was nice and fresh. The ribs were very tender and we're full of flavor. I ordered a steak cooked medium, but it was very tough and hard to chew. I love apple pie and ice cream so I was happy to see that they had it on their dessert menu. But the ice cream tasted freezer burnt and the pie did not pair well with it. As soon as you walk in the door you see those warm fluffy bread rolls and the cinnamon butter warming under the hot lamp And you know you're going to get ready for a really good meal. Every time I come here the steaks are cooked too perfection. I love their baked potatoes sweet potatoes and their salads. The chili can be hit or miss but I always get it at least once a month. And we always get the onion blossom for an appetizer. I always say I'm going to try something new but then I just always want that onion blossom appetizer. The servers here at the Sanford restaurant have been working here many years and they are top-notch. They have a kids night on Tuesday nights. They offer balloon twisting, crafts and free ice cream with each meal.
