Ryan Is FANTASTIC! We were having performance issues with my daughter's 2000 VW Jetta, now Ryan strictly works on BMW's & Mini's mind you, but he was kind enough to take the time to look at her car anyway. Apparently the "x" boyfriend put in the wrong oil for a european car... I had read about Ryan's garage while on another automotive garage's website, and after reading their awful reviews, but one simply raving about Ryan, decided to email Ryan and ask his advice. He responded quickly, and agreed to see the car on the following Monday. He drove it, checked it out & informed us later that day, that it would probably need to "cleaned out" (oil wise) and have another oil change in 3000 miles with the correct oil in it. Since we just had the oil changed (again) over the previous weekend, he said to wait, let the new oil run through and maybe it wouldn't even need cleaning, just an oil change. He refused to take any $$ for his time/service and agreed to check the car out after 3000 miles and would do the work then if needed. Now how often do you get THAT from a mechanic? Ryan is Professional, Personal & Kind! If you own a BMW or Mini, and live in the surrounding Sacramento, or Foothill areas, may I strongly suggest you do yourself a HUGE favor & take your car to him. I don't think you will ever be disappointed! We know nothing about european cars, but may actually have to buy a BMW now that we know where to take it for service!! I recently bought a 2018 340i that is a nice car, but it looked ordinary and generic not to mention it blended in with every other car in the parking lot. I went to Ryan and talked to him about how I wanted this car to have an aggressive, sporty look ..but not over the top. Ryan and the guys in his shop had a lot of ideas of how I could get the look I was after. Ryan spent a lot of his time going back and forth in conversations and email, helping me decide. He took time listening to me and he made sure he understood what I meant. So far, it's been lowered (H&R springs), Carbon fiber Dinan intake, 20" Rohana RF2 wheels with Falken tires, along with a few other things to clean up the look. It looks exactly how I wanted it... no, it's better than I imagined it could be. Somehow Ryan converted my ordinary car into an aggressive but classy car. And the car rides perfectly, still smooth and comfortable. I've been a customer of Ryan's for many, many years and I know he's the best mechanic around and his prices are fair. Wow.. Impressed from the get go. Emailed the shop late on the weekend about my 2005 X5 and to my surprised I received a reply directly from Ryan about servicing my car within hours. Not only did he answer my questions by email best he could, he worked around my schedule to work on the car. When I arrived he was ready to work on my car and greeted me by name. Since I live in Roseville I hung out at his waiting room and did work (from my computer) from his shop while he worked on my X5- free wifi and nice area to sit (not to mention the food options that's around his shop). He did such great work and provided great value that I came back to service my car on my struts couple weeks later. My Mini Cooper engine was mis-firing on my way from Reno to the Bay Area. I called several Mini dealerships and even the Mini roadside assistance for help. I ended up finding Ryan Gangemi Motorworks through my luckiest google search ever. They were open on Memorial Day and they offered to help me when other Mini Service dealerships were completely useless. They diagnosed the problem (with one of the spark plugs), fixed it, even test drove with the new spark plug, and I was on my way in less than 15 minutes. I love this place. I've been taking my MINI Cooper to Ryan for 2 years. Their customer service is awesome, Ryan will never oversell you and they know their stuff. I took my BMW 535d in because I was getting a warning about a def fluid and a warning saying my car would not run if I drove it more than 200 miles. They called and said my vehicle was ready and repaired. They said the fixed the problem but I had to take the vehicle to BMW to get the computer updated. I talked to the guy at Meritage after the incident and he said I wouldn't have serviced your car if I saw that warning. He said it's a problem with an emissions sensor and it was a BMW recall. I took my BMW to the dealership and they fixed it for free. read more

Fantastic shop, great people! I stopped in without an appointment to ask if they could find the source of the airbag/SRS malfunction light that had come on in my MINI Cooper. My son took his 1990 bmw in to fix the front wheel wobble, they replaced the bushing & some other parts which were really bad, it didn't fix the wobble.They then did some research & testing, which was not part of the original work they were paid to do.
