How much does an oil change cost?

It’s $25 for the labor plus the oil. We don’t get deals on oil since we don’t buy in bulk, a oil change for a car with conventional oil about $60 if you have a truck it’s about $80 or so depending on if you want synthetic blend, or full synthetic.

It has been an AWESOME experience, dealing with Fateh, and Crank Auto Repair!!!…read more I purchased a BEAUTIFUL 2011 Lexus ES350, for a MORE than fair price. After driving off I expressed a few concerns with the vehicle. Fateh was quick to respond to all of my concerns, and he promptly set me up to fix everything. I have been searching for a reliable, trustworthy mechanic my whole entire life, and Fateh is the Man!!!! Thank You So Much Fateh!!

Easy to tell since the exhaust has been falling off poorly installed. Head gasket blew in the truck, or worst case is hydrolock, not turning over properly soemtimes. A couple hoses shot off. Had nothing but problems, never ran right. It would get stuck turning over sometimes. Idle was super high at first, I adjusted it down. It surged in first at low speed, high idle was to cover this up perhaps? Went to shop, he had me waiting around all day, never looked at it, mentioned charging me more. He alleged I had a bad MAF, which I left w/o inspection and replaced after seeing him hustle for new clients and leaving me hanging. Still didn't run right. Surged when I hit the brakes in neutral, some mind of vacuum leak. He blamed me when I confronted him. I travel a lot and had a second car so just drove that amidst my flights, sold that car though. Now I've got work out of state and no wheels. Blaming my camper shell is pathetic for a poor engine install. Never sent my engine core back. I thought it was, when I didn't get claim check I found out. He said no problem doing that now acts like he did me a favor after not doing it for months. Also charged $150 more than $1100 at first. When he said it was ready the skid plate wasn't on or the hitch, I was boxed in by another car, I waited a couple hours while he talked to new clients, offering to buy their cars so he can flip them. He cares about money, not quality work. I want a refund. This is unacceptable. My truck is useless. He won't be responsible, and blames the customer. I will sue and post reviews everywhere I can. This guy is scum.

If you are looking for a good & honest mechanic, Javier is your mechanic. I say this with a lot of…read moreconfidence after Javier has done a few repairs on our vehicles. After going to the dealership to get our family van checked out & being told what the issue was, I searched on Yelp & found Javier. He was quick to respond & provided an estimate based on what the dealership noted was the issue. Once he took it apart and found the exact issue, the estimate was adjusted as expected, but he explained exactly what it was and why it would be a little more than initially quoted, which was reasonable for replacing the head gaskets & repairing the cylinder heads. I really appreciate his communication throughout and not be surprised at the end when the job was done. Because it required taking apart part of the engine, he asked to take the van to his place instead of onsite, which made sense to avoid any potential fluid spills. He communicated with us along the way & we had our van back working at a fraction of the dealership quote. He has since done an additional repair to replace a motor mount which was also a fraction of what it would have cost at the dealership. That repair was done on location at our home. Growing up with a really good dealership mechanic in the family and doing small repairs of my own, I know a good and honest mechanic when I see one. He is good, does clean work, is responsive, and is affordable.

Recently, I contacted him about a serious oil leak. We agreed on a time for me to bring the vehicle to him, but when I arrived, he told me he had a family emergency. I drove back home, and we agreed that he could pick up my car from my house instead. Javier never responded that day, and I followed up the next day asking if everything was okay. I received no response. A few days later, I called him, but my call was sent to voicemail. I eventually took my vehicle to another mechanic, who informed me that the oil leak appeared to be related to the front crank seal, camshaft seal, and oil pump cover area, which he said should have been addressed when the timing belt was previously replaced. Javier was the person who performed that timing belt service. I was disappointed by the lack of communication afterward, especially because I had trusted Javier with my vehicle for nearly two years.
