Cute little spot next door to foodland. Decided to stop here after eating at Maili's Chinese. I just wanted a simple strawberry shave ice with ice cream. Update review as they moved... No longer located in Hawaii Kai as they moved to Mililani Shopping Center (the one with Ross and Foodland) since May 2025 and yes including the fun phone booth as well. What they also have is "Kawaii Kollective" a section filled with various cute items including Pop Mart items. You can find them right beside Foodland just look for the pink walls that's so easy to find. Though what we're all here for is their cool treats like Ice Waves their version of shave ice as it's layers of fresh fruits, cheesecake, and soft serve making it a royal cup of goodness though they also have Sundaes, Soft Serve, simple shave ice or what I usually get is their float. Their float is a bit slushy that will certainly give you brain freeze as it's their shave ice with the soda of your choice (Strawberry Soda for me) topped with soft serve has me lost in Ice Wave happiness. Staff was nice and Friendly. This is in the Mililani Shopping Center in a CORNER next to Foodland with a cute (Kawaii) exterior. The menu was nice, big, and able to read, but then you need to go to the Cashier to see the Prices. I was craving some ice cream and I saw soft serve and I knew I needed to try it and it comes with one topping. I picked Ube and Fruity Pebbles. I was able to get it quickly and after I paid. To distract you while your order is being made is a Display Case full of knick-nacks, trinkets, and "toys" to gaze a pond including some of those vital Labubu Charms. You can also buy some surprise boxes, other charms, and stuff different from a cold dessert. Seating inside you can watch customers come in, read the Menu on the wall so you know what to get the next time, or just stare at the Display Case. Outside there is 2 tables and Chairs if you don't want to sit inside. When I got my Soft serve it looked huge, however, looks can be decisive. I thought I had a nice decent size portion to eat with toppings on top. However, when I got to the Middle it was empty (Should of taken a photo but I was hungry.) Have to dock it that a Star and Parking in this Shopping Center is very tricky because many lanes are one way to drive about. Let's indulge in a sweet creation on a humid day! Strawberry Mango Ice Wave photo on the menu looked appealing. I'm not thrilled that my large dessert didn't look like the photo. No heaping top. Employee offered a plastic cover. However, I declined stating that I will eat here. The strawberries and mangoes were competing for taste where tartness slowly replaced sweetness. Sweetened condensed milk and soft serve ice cream didn't subdue the tart. I've tried the Mango Cheesecake at prior location in Kalihi-Kapālama area and the ice wave was amazing! I'm aware, next time, go for Mango Cheesecake or Strawberry Cheesecake, it doesn't vie for flavor. Ice wave took a while to melt as I consumed half of it in the shop and the rest at home. There's only one employee to make desserts. If there's a few people in line, be prepared to wait. Telephone booth offers photo ops. Feel free to check out their Labubu merchandise in the shop (not pictured). Free parking in the Mililani Shopping Center. Methods of payments accepted are cash and cards. Happy to see an outpost of Kawaii Ice Wave open up here in Mililani. I don't mind driving, but the Hawaii Kai location can be a bit of a hike. This place next to Foodland has hosted a variety of sweet frosty treat places, so I hope this one sticks. We didn't actually get the signature Ice Wave this time - my son just wanted plain shave ice and I tried the soft serve. There are several varieties of soft serve available, and I got ube/vanilla swirl. It comes with one topping free so I opted for oreo. It's cookie dust, which can be messy, but is a nice change from cookie chunks elsewhere. The shave ice menu is kept behind the counter, so you have to ask to see the flavors. You can get up to 3 flavors. The rainbow is blue vanilla, banana, and strawberry, but the staff kindly swapped in pineapple for my kiddo. Consistency might be a bit off. My soft serve was smaller than photographs and those made for other customers, and had some gaps in the middle. If I'm going to spend more than $6 for a treat, maybe I'll go with a better value item with more components for just a little more money. Cash or venmo only - no cards accepted currently. As soon as I heard Kawaii Ice Wave opened in Mililani Shopping Center, I told the kids we needed to go! We stopped after dinner and looked over their menu of ice waves (shave ice), ice floats, ice cream, milkshakes, sundaes and halo halo. The chairs were dirty despite the cleaning supplies. Floors were filthy for someplace that just opened. We got a rainbow shaved ice and it was $7.25, not worth it in my opinion. Tried this place on a whim off the fact that snow factory was previously there so I wanted to see what replaced it while I was gone and was pleasantly surprised at the quality. Menu is primarily focused on bingsu like "ice waves" with a bunch of good combos to make floats etc. For the price they give you a lot in regards to portions and the toppings are honestly more fresher than the avg frozen yogurt place. Everything was clean and super tasty with my favorite being the strawberry and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Don't knock it till you try it good sweet treat when ya want it. Had no idea that Kawaii Ice had replaced the old Snowberry shop. I'm so happy I found this place in Mililani right next to Foodland. You can't miss it because the outside of the shop is pink! When you enter they have a cute little backdrop of a telephone booth that you can take photos with. The place is small, but it's perfect. They are currently only taking cash or Venmo. They offer a variety of desserts: from halo halos, soft served, milkshakes, shave ice, and floats. They are known for their Ice Waves. I tried the strawberry cheesecake ice wave and it did not disappoint! It was delicious! I loved the "milky" soft ice mixed with a layer of soft serve and topped with strawberries, cheesecake bites , and condensed milk. A small little shop in the back of Hawaii Kai Shopping Centre decorated all pink with wall signage and an old telephone booth for all the influencer foodie pics your heart desires. When we went there was a family of 4 waiting for their order. As there was only one employee working, it took about 15 minutes for them to get their order and another 15 for us to get our order. The shave ices themselves are decent. Ice is nice and fluffy and flavors are good, but nothing mind blowing. A little pricey imo, but you're paying for the visuals as opposed to the taste in reality. The most ridiculous thing is that they charge $0.50 for an extra spoon! I know times are tough right now, but seriously? Charging for an extra utensil when you know these are made to be shared? Kawaii ice wave is located in the same shopping plaza as McDonald's, Safeway, and Longs in Hawaii Kai. It's located in the back of Longs, towards Repettis, and F45? We used to live in Kalihi and go to that location as well. The desserts are so yummy. So many to choose from. Even the kalihi store was pretty. They had a shoe display, and a cute little photo opp spot. This Hawaii Kai location also has cute photo opp spot with the grassy backdrop, and a cute phone booth like from back in the day, with 'treat yo' self' neon light as background, with pink walls everywhere, and little cute things for sale!!! Like jelly sticks, and even a cute little toy size Nutella bottle/sriracha... noms... cute mini toy size tic tacs. omg everything about this store is cute and pink. And the ladies there, always nice, never rude. No complaints. But the desserts??!! You gotta try. I had the absolute worst customer experience there today and I will never go back. Went there around 12:15 pm on 4/27/2026 at my daughter's request and was the only customer in the store. Granted this doesn't seem to be a business suited for guys but still, the lone female employee completely ignored me for at least three full minutes while she kept doing some menial tasks off to the side. After finally ordering, I gave her an 11% tip which I think pissed her off because she refused to pack my order of multiple items to go when I asked and reluctantly gave me just a single cardboard cup holder which clearly couldn't hold more than one item. There was no way I could carry the large order as it was and asked for one of the empty boxes piled off to the side but she said no. She didn't give a crap about helping me and I will never go back to this frickin place. Horrible and disrespectful service. Only giving one star because the app requires it. read more

Happen to stumble upon this place after we did our little excursion at H20 Sports. I'm so glad I did. I had the halo halo and my husband had their shaved ice. It was both very refreshing. I'm from CT and there really isn't many Filipino places around and my kids don't like halo halo. So, I never make it. So this right here was a very special treat for me. I was as large enough for me to satisfy my craving I didn't want to share it at all. The place is very small but very cute inside and the lady that served us was by herself and very friendly and patient with us. My husband was trying to figure out if he wanted halo halo or the shaved ice. I can't exactly remember what he got since I'm posting this two month after we had gone to Hawaii. Loved this spot on Dillingham so I had to come here when I saw it was next to where I was getting dinner. It's in the shopping center pretty close to Safeway, so there's lots of parking. A new sweet shop opened up near my residence so of course I had to check it out! Apparently they're known for their unique shave ice desserts known as "ice waves". I had my eyes on another item, but will return again to try their signature ice wave. They're located in the Hawaii Kai Shopping Center near Island Brew and CVS, with lots of parking available in the shared lot. When I arrived in the early afternoon, I was the only customer there. I stepped into a very cute and pink environment, with a telephone booth IG prop and other cute decorative items. The 2 employees were in the back but suddenly came to the front when I stepped in. I ordered the dairy-free strawberry & vanilla swirl with fruity pebbles on top for $6. It was a generous amount and the dairy free ice cream was delicious! And how can you go wrong with fruity pebbles, amirite? I love that they have various toppings to choose from, especially a variety of cereals! In addition to the ice waves, which comes with fruit, condensed milk and shave ice, they also offer ice waves with cereal, sundaes and just shave ice. They even have halo halo! As the summer begins make its way (seriously where has the year gone?!) here, the days begin to get a little hot. One way to cool down is this shop filled with some delicious cold desserts. I'm so glad they opened up a second shop! This shop is located nearby Liko's and newly relocated Tex808 (perfect for dessert after visiting either restaurant if you ask me!). Because it is located around other shops and restaurants, there are ample parking for you. Though it is not as big as the other location, this place still has a lot of yummy treats for all to enjoy! For this adventure, I decided to stick to my Filipino roots and order the ube halo halo. This treat did not disappoint! It took me back to the childhood days where I didn't have to worry about these adult kind things like bills. Every bite was cool, sweet, squishy, and crunchy.
