When you first review the menu, it will seem like most of it is smaller portions or small bites but I've never left here hungry. From my most recent visit, I had the adobo chicken, it came on 3 drumsticks. I was hesitant to order it because drum sticks can be messy and I had on a lighter color outfit. My wife and I came here just for no particular reason other than we wanted to try it. I had no expectations, but even if I had they would've been exceeded. First, walking in, it feels upscale. Not to the point of being uncomfortable, but everyone there was dressed nicely, particularly for Colorado Springs. Both the indoor and outdoor areas are relatively small, which explains why you basically need a reservation if you want to spend some time there. Our server was very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. He explained some of the food and drink options for us and we took our pick. Overall the food was quite good. The burger was exceptional, and cooked perfectly. The crudité is tasty, but nothing all that special. The adobo chicken is good, but not adobo at all. The drinks though... For my first drink I opted for an Old Fashioned. It's become my go-to drink for higher end restaurants and lounges... and Ryze knocked it out of the park. After I finished my drink, about midway through my meal, I was craving something a bit different and ordered a Ryze from the Ashes. Holy. Friggin'. Moly. Different indeed. I've never tasted anything like it, and so I don't really know how to explain it, but "from the ashes" is very appropriate. It has a strong smoky flavor to it which, I'm willing to bet, would pair nicely with a cigar. It also paired nicely with the burger and fries that I had, thankfully. If you're driving north on Cascade there's parking just before the building, so you can dip right in there and then just walk in, get your card from the front desk guy, and be on your way. read more

Giving one star for the view. I ordered my standard Grey Goose martini, very dry, with olives. They brought me a well martini with an orange garnish, and insisted it was Grey Goose. It was not. I've been ordering that martini for 27 years. After much discussion, the waitress agreed to bring me three olives. She did not want to take the drink back. We ordered the shrimp skewers and the corn and lobster balls. The shrimp was criminally overdone, basically seafood jerky. Neither my wife nor I could even taste the lobster in the balls, much less see any actual lobster meat in them. Lots and lots of corn, though. Very disappointing experience. The view was amazing, but for the price we paid, the service and food were substandard. read more

Thursday night must have been a doozy here lol The bartenders- Jason, Johnnie and Holly were so friendly and knowledgeable- they were like mad scientists back there. My Cool Runnings cocktail was unique and counted as my dessert. They also let us sample the most unique and unsettling spirit I've tasted- Tingala- see photo. Nothing like it. A terrific rooftop lounge with courteous skillful bartenders. Great view of the mountains. Getting there is confusing because it's on the roof of the Hilton Garden Inn. The bar is not associated with the Hilton--you can't charge your tab to your hotel room if staying there--but patrons have to go through the Hilton desk to get a key to the roof. Even if staying in the Hilton, your room key won't allow access to the roof. A separate trip to the Hilton desk. The key code they provide expires each day. read more

3.5 to stars if I could. Lovely view of the mountains in Downtown Colorado Springs. A great spot to sit at golden hour. The drinks were nice! We ordered one recommend cocktail and one mocktail. Both were well done. We enjoyed them. I wouldn't recommend their dinner menu. We got the sliders & trout dip. Portions are very small and very expensive for what you're getting. The hospitality experience was a little strange and wasn't warm. I think in the future we might just keep it simple and avoid food. The view is lovely. If we come back here, it would likely just be for drinks and the view. read more

My girlfriend and I decided to come check out this new spot for date night this Saturday. We showed up at 7pm only to be told we needed a reservation. We looked on Open Table and the only available reservation was at 10pm. Luckily the girl at the front desk was able to squeeze us in at 8:30pm so that was nice - we went elsewhere for a bit. We came back at 8:30pm and we were seated immediately which was nice. There were available seats near the front with a much better view but we assumed those had reservations so we didn't say anything. They stayed empty the entire time we were there! That was a little annoying. Also, we had to ask them to open the shades to see the sky...at a "skyline" lounge. Our server Dillon was very nice and attentive. I ordered the Figure it Out & my gf ordered GoldMember but we ended up switching drinks. We also ordered the Street Corn Niblets and the Elk Carne Asada Tacos. They were both good. We liked the corn niblets better than the tacos though. Overall the place was nice. If they would have sat us outside with a nicer view, we probably would have stayed longer and spent more money but we went elsewhere. They have a really nice place but need to work on making their customers feel more welcome if they want repeat business because this exclusivity thing is giving Miami vibes and is why I left Miami in the first place! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Lovely new spot to enjoy elevated views of Colorado Springs! Fantastic cocktails and creative shareable apps. It is so comfy in the big chairs facing Pikes Peak and they do a wonderful job of controlling the screens as the sun starts setting. Our waitress was just training - Vienna and was so sweet and attentive (helped by her trainer Holly - who was also so professional. Great food (small plates, so share a variety - they're great!), amazing view, lovely atmosphere, comfortable seating, outstanding and friendly service (Rachel) and a table side chat with the executive chef (Dan) who makes the magic happen. Couldn't ask for more for our anniversary night out. They're up-leveling the menu in early April, but it's already so tasty! Had the waygu sliders, lobster-sweet corn fritters, shrimp skewers, and flourless chocolate torte. All superb! Next menu will be more locally inspired. My friend and I did a Sunday afternoon happy hour meet up at Ryze. As soon as we walked in, we love the atmosphere. It was a cute little space great views of the mountain outdoor seating with fire pits indoor seating with lounge, chairs, and couches. The food was very good. We had the duck wings, fire, shrimp, and the pork belly ribs. Our server was very attentive. The menu is seasonal. We definitely recommend this place. read more

If you trust the bartender and love a great conversation, Ryze Rooftop delivers. I've been to Ryze Rooftop twice now and sat at the bar both times -- and that's absolutely the move. Both visits were fantastic. I started with an Old Fashioned each night, then let the conversation guide the rest. Once the bartenders learned I gravitate toward gin and rye, I gave them free rein for bartender's choice cocktails. Every single drink was excellent. They even poured small samples of different spirits so I could explore and dial in what I liked. It felt collaborative and thoughtful, not just "here's your drink." The vibe is relaxed but polished, and what really stood out was the hospitality. They recognized me the second night and welcomed me back, which says a lot. Food-wise, the wagyu sliders were solid and the lounge fries were great -- especially with the curry ketchup and baconnaise (don't skip those). If you appreciate sitting at the bar, talking spirits, and letting talented bartenders do their thing, I highly recommend Ryze Rooftop. Ask for John or Jason, they're great! read more

The food is great. The drinks are good but every single one had citrus so if you're not a citrus fan, you may want to stick to wine. They also apparently run out of drinks? Another thing, if you have any kind of back pain or issues the chairs will hurt your back. They all have very low backs except the fire pit ones. We asked to move because of that but they said they're all reserved specifically by asking for those even though one stayed open the whole time we were there. The atmosphere was very nice.
