Always the best!!!! My favorite Italian sandwich place! Jacob made my sandwich so tasty and perfect!!

Loved this sandwich spot from the very beginning, we used to go when they were food truck. What initially stood out most was the bread and the peaches in their sandwich. This was their twist on savory and sweet. We were excited that they finally opened a brick and mortar location. I ordered my usual sandwich from years past, but sadly something was definetly noticibly different. What differed first off all was the bread, it was not soft and chewy, rather it was a little burnt and slightly hard. I couldn't believe that the bread alone made the sandwich, but it did. Sadly, my once beloved sandwich did not have the same taste and flavor from years past. Maybe we'll have to give them another try sometime in the future. I wish them luck in their brick and mortar location!

They are located in Pokitomik! Parking was easy in the garage behind with the first 90 mins free. We were greeted with a friendly face. I didn't catch his name but he was really nice and even gave us a sample without us asking. Had a homey feel to the place with pictures around the restaurant. I got the si Roma deluxe. I really liked the sweet and salty taste that the peaches bring to the sandwich. I just wish there was more stracciatella spread evenly to offset the saltiness of the prosciutto. For combos you can get chips from the baskets and drinks are in the refrigerators. We also got the cannoli and it was the first time I tired a cannoli. It was really good. Overall a really good experience!

Si Roma but later I asked for grilled peaches, super fire!

Located inside Pokitomik, right next to boba time, to make finding the place easier! The sandwiches were fire!!! I feel like they offer something different than most sandwich places and it's definitely worth a try! I got the Si Roma and the Americano, I feel like Si Roma was the winner for me and I added grilled peaches to the sandwich 10/10 . The Americano is a very hearty, throw in all the meat kinda sandwich, also very tasty! Sako is the sandwich master and super helpful!

If you are in the area please try their sandwiches! Best quality ingredients in an Italian sandwich in Glendale. I couldn't decide between the si Roma and the va bene and each one was incredible. Bread is fresh ingredients are top quality and the homemade pesto was chef's kiss. Will definitely be back if I'm in the area.

Look, every once in a while, you stumble upon a place that cuts through the bs. A place that isn't trying to be the next big thing, just the real thing. In the sprawling, often soulless landscape of L.A. strip malls, finding a spot with a genuine pulse is a minor miracle. Let me tell you about a miracle I found in Glendale, of all places, tucked away like a secret worth keeping. It's called Sì Roma, and it's a full-throated, passionate "YES!" to what a real Italian sandwich should be. This isn't just another sandwich joint. Forget it. Sì Roma is one man's fanatical obsession with authentic Italian street food, playing out on a canvas of fresh-baked stirato bread. It's a ghost kitchen with the soul of a Roman rosticceria, operating out of a Pokitomik in the Glendale Marketplace. You read that right. You go for raw fish, you stay for the prosciutto. It's the kind of beautiful, chaotic logic I can get behind. The man behind the counter is Johnny. He's not some corporate suit who saw a gap in the market; food is in his blood, passed down from a restaurateur Nonno. This whole thing was born from a pandemic-fueled pilgrimage. Johnny sold his house, flew to Sicily, and immersed himself in the coastal traditions of his heritage. He even did a stint at a Buddhist monastery--not for enlightenment, but because it was cheap--all in the relentless pursuit of the perfect panino. He wrestled with a cursed food truck that seemed to break down on principle before finding his current home. That struggle is important. It's a story you can taste. And that story gets real on the menu--a tight, focused collection of hits built on a foundation of impeccable ingredients. The meats are sliced to order. The cheeses, like the glorious, creamy stracciatella, are imported straight from Italy. Start with the Sì Roma Deluxe, the one people whisper about. It's a masterpiece of salty Prosciutto di Parma, the dual-threat creaminess of fresh Mozzarella and Stracciatella, bright tomatoes, and then the curveball: grilled peaches. It sounds wrong. It feels wrong. But your first bite tells you it's so, so right. The sweetness cuts through the fat and salt, creating something sublime. Don't sleep on the rest of the lineup, either--creations like "The Hungry Terrone" showcase gods of the cured meat world like Prosciutto Cotto and Pistachio Mortadella, each one a testament to the fact that simplicity, when done with perfect ingredients, is unbeatable. Forget that green sludge in a jar you call pesto. Johnny makes three distinct, nut-free versions from scratch: a classic Genovese, a fiery Calabrese, and a deep, earthy Olive. They're revelations. And if you walk out of there without a chocolate shell cannoli, you've failed the mission. It's the perfect endnote: a crisp, dark chocolate shell giving way to a rich ricotta filling that isn't sickeningly sweet. It's balanced. It's honest. Just like everything else here. "Sì Roma" is more than a name; it's an affirmation. "Yes, Rome!" It's a nod to doing things the right way, the old way. Johnny's odyssey--from selling his home to bunking with monks--isn't just a quirky backstory. It's the spirit of the place. It's the dedication that separates a good sandwich from a truly great one. So, here's the final word. If you're tired of limp, overpriced sandwiches and you crave something made with passion and integrity, you need to find this place. It's a culinary "Yes!" in a world full of "maybes." It's proof that sometimes, the best things are found where you least expect them. Just go. You won't regret it.

This sandwich shop proves that greatness lies in the details. From the moment you walk in and talk to the owner from the time you take your first bite, it's clear--every element has been thoughtfully crafted. The bread is toasted to perfection--crisp on the outside, warm and airy inside--setting the stage for the bold, well-balanced flavors to play together in perfect harmony. No single ingredient overpowers the others; instead, each component brings something to the table, making every bite feel intentional and satisfying. While the sandwiches are slightly smaller than your typical Subway or Jersey Mike's sub, the quality here is unmatched. Each ingredient is packed with flavor, elevating what could be a simple lunch into something far more memorable--more "gourmet-tier" fast casual than grab-and-go. The cherry on top? A curated selection of A'Siciliana sodas--crisp, refreshing, and the perfect companion to these next-level sandwiches. It's the kind of place that makes you rethink what a sandwich can be and resets your expectations.

So hard to find this spot but the sandwich is amazing!! They need a sign out front cause they only have a sticker on the window. But amazing sandwich, the service was amazing and the guy behind the counter pointed us in the right direction. Try them out!!

Excellent sandwiches that anyone can and will enjoy. The sandwiches aren't so "mind blowing" that there is anything unique or different here, but they are just down right solid good simple sandwiches. I did not get his name but the main man taking orders and helping customers could not have been nicer, he was super helpful and attentive to everyone. We ordered the Si Roma Deluxe, Si Roma, and Terrone sandwiches along with a cannoli. Let me say first - that cannoli is one of the best in LA! The bread was warmed for all sandwiches and that really just makes a sandwich so much better. The Si Roma Deluxe is definitely the best of the three sandwiches we ordered. The sliced peaches and prosciutto parma are just a match made in heaven, especially with pesto and pecorino cheeses. The Si Roma was a bit simpler and "classic" copa and cheese sandwich. This one could've used a lot more pesto. Lastly the Terrone was also like the Si Roma - just a classic, simple, straightforward mortadella sub.

A food truck (or bus?) located in a lot close to, if not in the downtown Glendale area. They specialize in Italian sandwiches (and more specifically, Italian panini). They have a simple menu and friendly service. During my visit, the ambiance was pretty chill. I came a little later in the afternoon so it wasn't busy at all. I was able to sit down at the table and enjoy my sandwich in a relaxed atmosphere. I ended up ordering the Hungry Terrone combo. This sandwich had pistachio mortadella in it and it sounded delicious. I'm happy to say that the sandwich was indeed really delicious and it had a nice crunch and texture. Great ratio on all the ingredients as well. I got some peppers on the side for a little extra kick. Really great sandwiches here and I want to come back and try the deluxe.

All in all, great experience with their sandwiches. Even greater service from their staff - they made me feel welcome and it showed in the love that they put making my food order!

I enjoyed my salad and my friend's pasta looked delicious. I was able to customize my salad a bit by asking for more chickpeas instead of salami. Surprisingly, I had to take some of the salad home because I wasn't able to finish it like I originally thought. They have complimentary bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar as well. Slightly pricier than what I was expecting but I enjoyed my experience and the food here so I didn't mind paying what we did. Frugal auntie tips: 1) if you're a Caruso rewards member, you can redeem your points to get a discount here. I had enough points to get $25 off my meal here. 2) they validate for parking at the host's station.

We were a party if 2 and didn't mind the 30 minute quoted wait but we got really lucky that 2 guests at the bar got up right at the same time, plus, the world cup was on so it was perfect timing and we decided to join the bar instead. There were 2 Bartenders and what looked to be a bar back on with no guests to our side of the bar, but 3 guests sat on the other side of the pillar with food already down. We sat there without being offered menus, waters, cocktails, or even a hello, for nearly 10 minutes before I got the attention of the female bartender who seemed a little unhappy about having to stop washing dishes to bring us menus. We ordered drinks with her and looked over the menu. Well, now that she knew we were there, certainly, we'd get service, right? Nope, not once did she check if we were ready to order, nor did the other bartender or the bar back. But one of them did go joke with the 3 gentleman on the other side. I again called her over letting her know we were ready to order apps and she put those in. We didn't get one of them because we asked about a specific ingredient being inside one and she didn't know so she asked the other bartender who said, no, there shouldn't be. Then with all certainty she came and told us no, the ingredient wasn't in there... at no point did she think to ask a manager or chef, even after I asked if she was sure. Anyway, she didn't come back to see if we were ready to order entrees before the apps came out. Honestly the 2 stars on service was for the exceptional food runner who put our food down and immediately saw we were not even set up with utensils or plates and he immediately went to the bartenders and told them to grab them for us... at least someone cared. The side plates took a second because they only had 1, and it was dirty (we know because they first gave it to us before we pointed it out), but then the male bartender got us clean ones. We then asked if someone could take our entree order when they had a second. Oh, and I should point out that a lady sat next to us, she immediately received a menu, utensils and had her full order in before she came over to check on us. By the time the entrées came out, we were kind of over it and were just glad to have food. At some point while eating, I flagged her for another drink, at this point she asked if we by chance wanted any bread... there's bread? Um, yes, we do please. (this would have been so great while we were waiting). Anyway, I was really looking forward to eating here and was so disappointed that no one really seemed to want to provide us service. Thank goodness the world cup was playing because otherwise we would have just been staring at a wall. The food was good, but I really hope the bar hospitality doesn't reflect the entire team.

I was reading this page and saw mixed reviews, so I decided to try it with my son and make my own determination. They have no parking but thankfully we found a spot on the side street. The restaurant is located on the ground level of an apartment building. They also have outdoor seating, but we sat inside. One restroom each for men/women (and super clean). We walked in and got a pleasant greeting from Mia. She was HANDS DOWN the best part of this experience and provided stellar customer service. She is so young and has a bright future ahead of her. Mia treated us with genuine kindness and was a pleasure to talk to during our dinner. She made sure we were well taken care of and our orders were to our exact specifications. This restaurant is very lucky to have someone as good as her working there. For our appetizers, we got the Cesar Salad ($17), Parmesan on the side, and Bruschetta ($17). I also asked Mia if they bring complimentary bread to the table and she said they do, upon request. She asked if we wanted olive oil or butter and I chose butter. My son and I both enjoyed the Bruschetta and thought it tasted very good. The bread was nicely toasted and the tomatoes were seasoned well. It was also a good portion, easily shareable between 2-3 people. The salad wasn't our favorite and we've definitely had better at other restaurants. The lettuce didn't taste too fresh and the dressing wasn't really that good. The portion size was good, though. For my entrée, I got the Spicy Rigatoni ($22) but I asked for it to be light on the spice and added shrimp (+$12). It tasted fine, nothing really to write home about. I had to ask Mia to microwave it for a minute because it wasn't hot. My son ordered the Chicken Parmigiana ($23) but asked for the chicken to be grilled instead of breaded. He said he enjoyed his dish and the tomato sauce had a good amount of garlic in it. For dessert, Mia was kind enough to bring out a complimentary Key Lime Cheesecake since she found out my son is celebrating his birthday in a few days. She was seriously impeccable. Honestly, the place is just really drab and boring. There isn't much decor and it feels like a slightly elevated diner that serves beer and wine. It was a Friday night and there was no one in there/no pickup orders. We were there from about 7:30pm-10pm when they closed and only 3 other parties came in. There is no music playing, which makes the atmosphere even more drab and lifeless. Its also super cold in there and I asked Mia to adjust the AC and even after she did, it was still cold. It's not an upbeat type of place at all but the food is decent and Mia's service is the best part. She herself is 10/5 stars, but for my overall experience, I'll stick with 4 stars this time.

That explanation makes sense and had we known that, we might have chosen to forego the reservation that day or not been upset. I appreciate her taking the time to get back to us and being so candid and self-effacing. It seems it was a confluence of unfortunate factors that led to us having a sub-par experience at a respected restaurant.

Overall, this restaurant proves that you don't need a large space to deliver an exceptional dining experience. Between the high-quality dishes, inviting atmosphere, and standout service, it's a place you'll find yourself wanting to return to again and again.

The bruschetta chicken was juicy and flavorful. The pasta with it was light and delicious. The chicken parm was quite good, but the bolognese sauce was the star of the meal. This was one of our favorite meat sauces we've had in quite a while. We finished the meal with a complimentary budino that our server brought to us as first time guests. The butterscotch flavor was light and creamy, so good! It was the perfect sweet treat to end the meal. Service was very good, our primary server was on top of things and the other people helped him out as well. Manager checked on us too. The restaurant is fairly small and was pretty full. From the outside, it's very unassuming but inside was nice and felt cozy.

Then a small green salad ask for Italian dressing if you're not a fan of the Creamy Garlic house dressing. I am personally a fan of the manicotti as it is made from a crepe and filled with delicious cheeses and has a red gravy and mornay sauce on it! But I also am a fan of the baked mostaccoili too! So many choices!

Four of us arrived for dinner right as the doors opened on a Saturday night, and while the food is excellent, I really wish they were open for lunch and dinner. The experience is solid old-school Italian exactly as you would expect; the interior, from the booths and tables to the decor, hasn't changed in over 50 years. This place holds deep personal significance for me. My parents used to come here, and we visited often with my stepfather when he was alive. I have great family memories tied to this space. Our meal started traditionally with a bread basket served with cold butter. Because I was saving my appetite for a food charity event later that night, I stuck with the antipasto salad, while my mom and sisters enjoyed the chicken parmigiano, chicken piccata, and veal parmigiana. The food quality remains high, and the service was great. We enjoyed quick, polite service from a server who looked after us well. It is a wonderful spot for anyone looking for a nostalgic, quality meal in a setting that feels frozen in time.

However, I'm sure this restaurant will do fine, as it has been a part of Pasadena for so long. We had a reservation for 7:30pm, and we were seated in the back of the restaurant. I didn't even know they had a back room, as last time we sat in the front. All of the dishes tonight were shared, except for the drink. I had the White Lotus drink, which was very similar to an Aperol Spritz. We shared the Pork Meatballs. These were 5 out of 5. They were so tasty, dense, large and the sauce and spice were perfect. We then shared the Mushroom Gnocchi. This is exactly how it sounds; however, I felt it was definitely lacking flavor, and would give it a 4 out of 5. We then moved on to the main course, which was the Pork Chop with an Apricot Sauce and a herb salad with fruit. I would give this dish a 5 out of 5, excellent. We ended the meal with the Strawberry Rhubarb Crumble. This was kind of the disappointment of the meal. It wasn't bad; however, it was not a crumble; we didn't taste any strawberry or rhubarb. The ice cream on the top was the highlight of this dish. It would get a 2 out of 5. Our server was very nice; however, a little rushed at times, especially during the early part of our service when the restaurant was nearly to capacity. Overall, a good to great visit. I would still return again in the future.
