Loved this sandwich spot from the very beginning, we used to go when they were food truck. What initially stood out most was the bread and the peaches in their sandwich. This was their twist on savory and sweet. We were excited that they finally opened a brick and mortar location. I ordered my usual sandwich from years past, but sadly something was definetly noticibly different. What differed first off all was the bread, it was not soft and chewy, rather it was a little burnt and slightly hard. I couldn't believe that the bread alone made the sandwich, but it did. Sadly, my once beloved sandwich did not have the same taste and flavor from years past. Maybe we'll have to give them another try sometime in the future. I wish them luck in their brick and mortar location!

They are located in Pokitomik! Parking was easy in the garage behind with the first 90 mins free. We were greeted with a friendly face. I didn't catch his name but he was really nice and even gave us a sample without us asking. Had a homey feel to the place with pictures around the restaurant. I got the si Roma deluxe. I really liked the sweet and salty taste that the peaches bring to the sandwich. I just wish there was more stracciatella spread evenly to offset the saltiness of the prosciutto. For combos you can get chips from the baskets and drinks are in the refrigerators. We also got the cannoli and it was the first time I tired a cannoli. It was really good. Overall a really good experience!

Located inside Pokitomik, right next to boba time, to make finding the place easier! The sandwiches were fire!!! I feel like they offer something different than most sandwich places and it's definitely worth a try! I got the Si Roma and the Americano, I feel like Si Roma was the winner for me and I added grilled peaches to the sandwich 10/10 . The Americano is a very hearty, throw in all the meat kinda sandwich, also very tasty! Sako is the sandwich master and super helpful!

Excellent sandwiches that anyone can and will enjoy. The sandwiches aren't so "mind blowing" that there is anything unique or different here, but they are just down right solid good simple sandwiches. I did not get his name but the main man taking orders and helping customers could not have been nicer, he was super helpful and attentive to everyone. We ordered the Si Roma Deluxe, Si Roma, and Terrone sandwiches along with a cannoli. Let me say first - that cannoli is one of the best in LA! The bread was warmed for all sandwiches and that really just makes a sandwich so much better. The Si Roma Deluxe is definitely the best of the three sandwiches we ordered. The sliced peaches and prosciutto parma are just a match made in heaven, especially with pesto and pecorino cheeses. The Si Roma was a bit simpler and "classic" copa and cheese sandwich. This one could've used a lot more pesto. Lastly the Terrone was also like the Si Roma - just a classic, simple, straightforward mortadella sub.

A food truck (or bus?) located in a lot close to, if not in the downtown Glendale area. They specialize in Italian sandwiches (and more specifically, Italian panini). They have a simple menu and friendly service. During my visit, the ambiance was pretty chill. I came a little later in the afternoon so it wasn't busy at all. I was able to sit down at the table and enjoy my sandwich in a relaxed atmosphere. I ended up ordering the Hungry Terrone combo. This sandwich had pistachio mortadella in it and it sounded delicious. I'm happy to say that the sandwich was indeed really delicious and it had a nice crunch and texture. Great ratio on all the ingredients as well. I got some peppers on the side for a little extra kick. Really great sandwiches here and I want to come back and try the deluxe.

Me and my uncle have been working our way through LA on my visits and this was on the list tonight I was able to make it on my way into town before close and the service and food is amazing I will definitely be back and please try them out!!!! I think I'm in love. I enjoyed it so much I came back the next day! I understand the hype that has come from their instagram page, but these sandwiches take you to a day on the Italian coast. I tried the Si Roma Deluxe and Bene and the ingredients are really what make this absolutely delicious. The bread is toasted to a perfectly crisp interior (panini style), the cheese is delicious, the peaches are fresh, the salami and pesto are rich- it's all absolutely bomb and I didn't even eat it fresh as I ate it at home. Be sure to ask for toasted bread. The cannoli is the only cannoli I've ever liked; theirs has a thick chocolate coating that every other cannoli needs to have. The parking lot has plenty of parking and they have a few chairs and tables outside. Service is great. Next time I'll try the Italian sodas. If online is backed up I'd go in person as it didn't seem like a super long wait either day I went. read more

Been ordering from Si Roma since the owner Johnny had his little food truck in Glendale. My family has one of the oldest Italian delis in LA so I'm quite picky when it comes to my cold cuts. There's a bus in a parking lot off of Central just below Lexington and there you can get a tasty sandwich. My biggest complaint is that I forgot that I selected a potato chip in my combo that I don't love but there's several varieties to choose from so that is entirely on me. I had the eponymous Si Roma cannoli combo, sandwich, drink, chips and chocolate cannoli. I am a big fan of the Limonata, very refreshing on a hot summer day. I enjoyed the sandwich, the pesto was a nice touch. The cannoli is a treat at the end. Kinda wish I lived or worked nearby. read more

It's not your average sandwich shop, this place is the real deal. If you tell me there's a better sandwich in LA I'll call you a liar. The sandwiches are unbelievably good. I ordered one of each & tried them all -- amazing flavors, really high quality ingredients, and made with great care. Absolutely delicious. Amazing ingredients. Phenomenal bread toasted to perfection AND I ordered for delivery. Which , you never know how that's going to go because it's always better to eat it fresh and at the restaurant/location. I have been meaning to try this place for awhile. I love sandwiches and have a lot of opinions about them. Meat to bread ratio is a must, and I don't usually stray away from the typical Italian deli sub. 5 stars no doubt. Came here with my wife and baby for a quick lunch we ordered ahead. These are quality sandwiches no doubt about it. Just the cheeses and pestos alone make it something special. Si Roma shares this spot with a Poki place so don't get confused. Service was great. Guy working the counter was friendly. Wife was a BIG fan and of course had to get a cannoli which she devoured. Great sandwich and cool idea. Stumbled upon this place through social media and saw it was in town. The bus is cute and the area had lots of parking. Person at the front was nice and helpful explaining the menu and different options. Sandwich itself was very good won't even lie. We got the salami and prosciutto ones. Definitely would recommend the prosciutto over the other but they both were good and simple. Only thing would be is that the sandwich was pretty small. I am a taller and bigger individual but even this just felt like it isn't worth the 15 dollars and change I paid for each sandwich. With this place being a bus in a parking lot, they don't have storefront lease costs like other businesses to justify such price of sandwiches. If anyone were to ask my recommendations for these types of sandwiches, I'd stick to stirring them in the direction of Mario's deli. read more

You need to try this place! I got the very flavorful Si Roma sandwhich. Nice crusty bread & delicious combo of meat & cheese. Combo gets you chips and a drink. Tried the lovely Italian limonata. I ordered from yelp (Grubhub) at about 10:25 and an hour later i received an email stating that my order was canceled. I called them and they were glad to take my order over the phone and it would be ready in 10 minutes. They just activated Grubhub the day prior so they're still working out the kinks. Walked over and grabbed my combo items. Now the sandwhich itself would be 5/5 BUT I'm a little disappointed that the peaches in the sandwhich are canned and not fresh. Fresh would elevate this to the next level and at $15 a sandwhich you can afford to put the real deal. That's the only reason I knocked off the 1 star. But definitely NOT a dealbreaker. I would love to try the others as well. The lady who helped me was delightful and the gentleman I spoke to was also very friendly. Will absolutely come back read more

Peaches and prosciutto work together. I wouldn't have thought it, but it does, and It definitely has to do with the way this truck prepared their deluxe namesake. Just the right amount sweetness from the peaches but not overpowering. I really enjoyed it. All the ingredients are top notch and fresh. The staff is as friendly as could be. I've been wanting to try this sandwich spot for a very long time. I saw it on Instagram and it caught my attention and when I tried to go they were no longer in the same location but was excited to finally get to try it now that they opened up on brand. I got their Roma deluxe and the Americano. I was severely disappointed. The both sandwiches were so salty (narrowed it down to being due to the pesto) that they were not edible. Came in on a rainy Saturday to pick up lunch, and got some of the titular Si Roma paninis and a chocolate shell cannoli for dessert. I believe there is usually a makeshift seating area on sunny days but this would have to be a to-go order. The man running the sandwich shop out of a bus (very sharply dressed might I add!) was very kind and made our food very quickly! This panini was simply made but all the ingredients melded perfectly: the salty and sharp pecorino, the tender cooked prosciutto, and the pesto and tomato mix were bright and fresh enveloped in a toasted baguette. The cannoli was also crisp and not overly sweet, great finish to the meal! Normally I avoid sandwich shops because they tend to lather on mayonnaise and condiments until the whole thing is just sopping wet, or they overcomplicate things by having too many options for toppings or ingredients, but this shop I would definitely come back to. Their menu is small but executed well. I would highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area! read more

My new go-to lunch spot in north LA. Honestly the Si Roma is maybe the best sandwich I've ever had. I got the Si Roma specifically because it seems to be the restaurant's namesake. Also got a cannoli and an italian soda that I'd never heard of. For the sandwich every bite was perfectly portioned. Also they toasted the edges of the bread perfectly.. the way in n out does on its best days (IYKYK). The meat was thinly sliced and ingredients tasted incredibly fresh in a way I haven't experienced at any other sandwich spot here in LA. It seemed healthy and I left full but didn't feel bogged or bloated down after eating. The cannoli is delicious with fresh cream and had a thin layer of crunchy chocolate in the middle that was a nice surprise. Cheaper than any other italian or sandwich spot in the area too.. all sandwiches are $11 to $14, and the owner was friendly and told me they were about to add a $7 option. This is a small detail but it mattered to me, they also used high quality napkins and not the junky stuff you get with most places now. Overall highly recommend, glad this is close to me so I can go more often. read more

I would give this place 0 stars but I had to give 1 star that was the only option! My sandwich was drenched in their garlic vinaigrette and soggy! Worst sandwich i ever had. Soooo... after having this place saved since they opened, I finally made my way over to Glendale for a Friday lunch. I ordered online just to be sure to avoid any line. The order was simple! Si Roma Deluxe combo. The sandwich although shorter than average...for a sandwich... it was about 9" and very good! The prosciutto was perfect and the mix of ingredients, including the peaches, was tasty. My only minor issue was the bread was a little chewier than I had hoped and I did not take another reviewer's suggestion to have it toasted, in part because it was a pickup order. I hope the toast will improve the bread. The cannolo was great but also not the best in LA. The beverage and chips were 3rd party and added to my enjoyment. Service was great and personable, no line may have helped. The parking lot is small but I had no issue for 12:30 on a Friday. Note if using a map service for directions be sure you are traveling North, not South, on Central because making a left into the parking although possible and illegal, is not ideal. I would put this sandwich shop in the top tier of Los Angeles but maybe near the bottom of my top 10 locations. read more

Our daughter recommended that we give this place a try and we were very pleasantly surprised at how good the sandwiches tasted. We ordered from my daughter's menu and enjoyed the half-off special deal. I'm not a fan of mixing fruit with sandwiches (no peaches with mine please) but I did try a couple of the others and I liked them so much that I had another one the next day. My only concern is if you have a big appetite you might want to consider having two (if you can afford it of course). I have to say I don't recall ever having authentic paninis before and at any rate, we highly recommend their sandwiches. read more

Finally a delicious authentic Italian sandwich spot in LA! I ordered the Si Roma and it was way better than expected. We were a party if 2 and didn't mind the 30 minute quoted wait but we got really lucky that 2 guests at the bar got up right at the same time, plus, the world cup was on so it was perfect timing and we decided to join the bar instead. There were 2 Bartenders and what looked to be a bar back on with no guests to our side of the bar, but 3 guests sat on the other side of the pillar with food already down. We sat there without being offered menus, waters, cocktails, or even a hello, for nearly 10 minutes before I got the attention of the female bartender who seemed a little unhappy about having to stop washing dishes to bring us menus. We ordered drinks with her and looked over the menu. Well, now that she knew we were there, certainly, we'd get service, right? Nope, not once did she check if we were ready to order, nor did the other bartender or the bar back. But one of them did go joke with the 3 gentleman on the other side. I again called her over letting her know we were ready to order apps and she put those in. We didn't get one of them because we asked about a specific ingredient being inside one and she didn't know so she asked the other bartender who said, no, there shouldn't be. Then with all certainty she came and told us no, the ingredient wasn't in there... at no point did she think to ask a manager or chef, even after I asked if she was sure. Anyway, she didn't come back to see if we were ready to order entrees before the apps came out. Honestly the 2 stars on service was for the exceptional food runner who put our food down and immediately saw we were not even set up with utensils or plates and he immediately went to the bartenders and told them to grab them for us... at least someone cared. The side plates took a second because they only had 1, and it was dirty (we know because they first gave it to us before we pointed it out), but then the male bartender got us clean ones. We then asked if someone could take our entree order when they had a second. Oh, and I should point out that a lady sat next to us, she immediately received a menu, utensils and had her full order in before she came over to check on us. By the time the entrées came out, we were kind of over it and were just glad to have food. At some point while eating, I flagged her for another drink, at this point she asked if we by chance wanted any bread... there's bread? Um, yes, we do please. (this would have been so great while we were waiting). Anyway, I was really looking forward to eating here and was so disappointed that no one really seemed to want to provide us service. Thank goodness the world cup was playing because otherwise we would have just been staring at a wall. The food was good, but I really hope the bar hospitality doesn't reflect the entire team.

We ordered the carne asada fries, fresh chips and salsa, el pastor burrito, and fish tacos. The fish taco was so delicious and flavorful. The sauce was a creamy siracha mayo aioli. With purple pickled cabbage. The carne asada fries we got was a size large and it was so filling that we didn't get to eat the burrito. The guacamole and crispy fries were amazing. I wish there was more steak. But over all it was worth the drive from Santa Monica pier.
