1. Stewart who owns S&B is the best. I had my house on the market and needed to have my breaker box approved asap. This morning, I had a surge protector break in the outlet while trying to remove it, causing the outlet to not work, and several other lights in the house - even after flipping the breaker. I called Stewart who immediately took my call and assessed the situation. He looked at pictures and walked me through how to properly flip the breaker switch off and back on which resolved the problem. This took all of 5 minutes and is something that he could have sent someone out for and charged me a few hundred bucks for their time. This is how you do business. Had to troubleshoot flickering lights. I knew it wasn't going to be something simple like a light bulb. They came next day to investigate, tightened sub panel connections. Didn't fix it. Came back day after that to investigate. Realized I needed to replace entire panel outside house. Prob one of the most expensive issues that could fail so that sucked, but they gave me super honest quote middle range of what I could tell from others. Fixed it next day so I don't have to worry about my house catching fire. Upgraded panel that was decades old and properly attached existing solar to panel as well. All in all Sunday - Thursday issue was fixed. I was a little bummed that they didn't fix the siding (small gap because new panel is smaller) but I understand why this isn't in scope. Stewart offered to fix it as a favor which is great customer service, but it's a $10 fix with some wood from Home Depot and I'd rather make it look proper. If you don't have time to fix this yourself just keep that in mind. read more
