We were suddenly left without electric power and Stewart responded to our request for help immediately after we learned from PG&E that we were going to need a new electric panel. He gave us an estimate which was below competitors and talked us through the process, including the options we had. He assigned a crew and came out with them and they had the work done quickly with no issues. Great crew also. The panel had to be installed within the prior panel's same brick framework and in the same position and this was done without damaging the brick and looks sharp. What a great company and electrician. A GFCI receptacle was tripped at my home due to a severed extension cord. The GFCI would not reset. After a quick check of the electrical panel, the circuit breaker was also tripped. Tried to reset the circuit breaker several times with no success. Found S&B electric in Yelp. Contacted Stewart and he responded the same day. After a couple of text messages, Stewart wanted me to call him. I did, and explained the problem. He told me exactly what to do to reset the breaker. He not only saved me money, but time. I was then able to resolve the GFCI issue on the same day. It is rare you find a company that is knowledgeable and honest. We were in the process of replacing our deck and removing the in-deck spa. When the spa was taken out, we discovered two circuits at the spa timer--one powering the spa and the other an outdoor outlet. Since we no longer needed the spa wiring, we had it capped off. However, this left us with junction boxes and conduit attached to the deck joists, which needed removal and rewiring. After reviewing quotes from various electric companies, we chose S&B Electric. Our decision wasn't solely based on price (although they were reasonably priced), but because of Stewart. He impressed us with his knowledge, honesty, and friendly demeanor. Stewart provided options for completing the job, including waiting until the deck was removed instead of having his worker crawl under the existing deck. When I coordinated with the deck installation company, I informed them of two dates when the deck would be gone, allowing the electrical work to proceed. Stewart arranged for his worker, Jose, to accommodate our schedule. Jose arrived promptly, confirmed the work details, and efficiently made a small change to the order after contacting his office. His job was neat, quick , and he even took the time to explain what he did. Overall, an excellent experience! Stewart is incredible. I was having problems with the GFCI outlets and the circuit breakers. It was beyond frustrating. Stewart was very patient and detailed with providing information for me. He was working with me on a Friday night! Technical skills are not a strength for me, but I was able to follow his input easily! This is not the first time i have worked with S and B.
