Raymond did a poor job of communicating the project schedule and next steps. We never knew when he was actually coming by to complete the work. When we called for updates we got the run around or he blamed it on other entities. One of the last steps was replacing the concrete, seen in the photos. We asked how many people would be working with him, he said a few around 4 people. In actuality it just was him and his son that helped. This was the sloppiest concrete job and evident that Raymond, a plumbing expert, has no business laying concrete. He definitely should've outsourced this part of the project. The concrete is uneven and bows down, which is a safety hazard. Left a broken piece of the wood frame in and just overall the messiest concrete application I've seen. Our garden bed is ruined, he didn't put enough dirt back before adding the brick. We're extremely unsatisfied with Odemz craftsmanship. We would've appreciated if Raymond was upfront about his capabilities and any changes in the project schedule. We feel he just took our money, knowing he didn't know what he was doing.

For months and months, John and Bob have continued to be with me every step of the way. I have learned that John is incredibly talented not just with plumbing but with every form of home construction. This means that, when he tackles a plumbing job, he comes at it from all angles and perspectives and can therefore skillfully think outside of the box and solve even the most complex problems if, heaven forbid, they arise (which they did during my project, unfortunately). John's attention to detail, his amazing knowledge base, his incredible work ethic, his unfailing honestly, and his vast skillset cannot be rivaled. When the long project was over, and he finished installing the very last thing, as he was headed out of my home for what I hope (for his sake, my goodness, the poor man has almost lived in my basement these last many months), I literally teared up and told him that having his help has been the biggest blessing. I cannot, I CANNOT, I cannot IMAGINE having to go through what I've gone through with my broken, damaged, flooded (multiple times), badly-built home without him. WORST PLUMBER EVER! DO NOT USE! On 08 DEC 2023, Mr. Tully…read moreTavares of "Fair Dollar Plumbing" (fairdollarplumbing.com) replaced the filters in our Reverse Osmosis (RO) water treatment unit. We paid him $300 for this service, which is two times more than we have paid other plumbers for this work in the past. Several hours after he left, one of the filter housings began to leak water. We placed a small container under it and told Mr. Tavares about the leak. On 13 DEC 2023, Mr. Tavares returned to our home to fix the small leak. He made the leak much worse and then called the RO unit equipment supplier (APEC Water) for advice. APEC Water told Mr. Tavares to switch the filter housings to see if that would fix the leak. Instead of heeding that advice, Mr. Tavares removed the entire RO system without getting our permission to do so. At that point, we told him to leave our home. "Fair Dollar Plumbing" is an INACTIVE corporation, according to the Virginia State Corporation Commission (SCC). Even worse, although Mr. Tavares claimed to be a "Master Plumber," according to the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR) database, he has NOT been a licensed plumber in the Commonwealth of Virginia since 30 SEP 2013, OVER TEN YEARS AGO!! Unlicensed contracting is a criminal offense in Virginia, punishable by a fine of $500 per day. Furthermore, any contracts entered into by an unlicensed contractor are null and void and unenforceable under Virginia law. Mr. Tavares destroyed our RO unit and charged us $300 for nothing. We had to order a new RO unit for $250 and we spent $100 for replacement filters that we can no longer use. A legitimate licensed plumber will charge us another $300 to install a new RO unit. So Mr. Tavares's incompetent and illegal plumbing work will cost us almost $1000. I am 70 years old (senior citizen) and a veteran (US Naval officer). I have never experienced so many problems with a single contractor. DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY!

A less experienced plumber or a chain would have given up. HVAC service has been honest (I have a 20+ year old system!). He does not replace the filters, you have to do that yourself but his prices are good. The reason I'm writing this review is because he came out on a Saturday early evening and fixed my AC and charged just a regular service call fee! Unheard of! I'm grateful. I hadn't used Bob in over a year. I had gotten a home warranty and went with their servicers in late winter when they had a special. That tech noted I needed freon. Next time I turned on the AC it didn't work. After 5 years no problems with the system (old as the hills) suddenly it needed 3 pounds of freon. I'm skeptical of this other tech. Never any problems when Bob was taking care of it. Learned my lesson! Bob can he hard to nail down a specific time or window when he comes but if you can be flexible he is worth it to find someone honest, highly skilled and will go the extra mile for you.
