The technician that came was fantastic - he was courteous, friendly, he wore protective shoes gloves, and was very professional. They took $120 from us to do a fireplace inspection and provide a written report. We never received the written estimate despite calling and calling and calling to ask for it. We got vague excuses the one time they picked up the phone with a promise to have it to us in a day or two. It's been weeks and still nothing and they are now avoiding our calls and not picking up. My A.C had issues so my warranty company set me up with Legacy home comfort to fix the issue. Let me just say that they came out to the house and several weeks later and several charges still did not have the issue fixed. We were assigned Legacy by Cinch, our home warranty company, because our AC wasn't working. Ivan came out as scheduled and diagnosed the issue. He ordered the proper parts to replace and kept us informed as to their arrival date. Because of the uncomfortable heat we did call their office several times to confirm what was happening with the order, and they were always friendly, responsive and helpful. Once he received the parts the company promptly scheduled the next appointment and he and his assistant Vlad (I think) arrived promptly and got straight to work in very uncomfortable hot weather, both inside and outside. They never complained and worked quickly and efficiently. They were also very courteous. It's been a couple weeks now and the AC has been working great. Additionally, there was a bureaucratic mix-up as to how much we were supposed to pay Ivan via our home warranty, and he was honest and very patient and understanding about quickly working it out correctly and informing us. Everything with the bill ended up as expected with no additional stress or issues. Ivan answered all our questions about the new AC and was clear that we could contact him any time for help or questions. *Terrible service* Technician came out initially to clean and inspect my gas fireplace, didn't clean it properly, came out a second time to finish the job and install my pilot light assembly, wasn't able to complete that either. On top of that the vacuum he uses blew soot all over my walls and furniture. When I notified the owner Ivan, he claimed that from looking at my pictures that it looked like a roof leak. A roof leak doesn't cause SOOT to be all over the walls and furniture. I will seek damages due to their incompetence and lack of wanting to do their job properly. read more

We were happy with our initial engagement with LHC- easy to book an appointment, technician was punctual, our fireplace was cleaned for a reasonable $160- but this place has still not succeeded in fixing our gas fireplace, which was the reason we contacted them to begin with. After our first appointment/diagnostic service, we were told that we needed to replace the receiver for $390, which we scheduled for the following week. When the technician arrived, it seemed to take him a really long time to install the receiver and once he did, the fireplace still did not work. He then told us that we might need a new regulator- the skilled technician wasn't sure- but now, weeks later, we have heard nothing back from the company about how to get that necessary part and when they will finish the job. $550 total and we still have a non-functioning fireplace. If you are ever assigned Legacy Home Comfort as your contractor through a home warranty company, save yourself the frustration and immediately request a new contractor. Legacy Home Comfort was assigned as our contractor and Ivan was our technician. Our initial service request was on 5/31/22. It is now 9/2/22, and the fan motor in our air conditioner is still not fixed. The home warranty company shipped the part to Legacy Home Comfort on three separate occasions. Each time, after the fan motor was scheduled to be delivered, we never heard back from Ivan or Legacy Home Comfort. When reaching out to see if he had received the part, our calls were ignored, went straight to voicemail, and we never received a callback. In the rare instance when he answered the phone, he claimed the parts mysteriously never made it to him despite the tracking information stating otherwise. The home warranty will be reimbursing us for the cost to have the AC repaired by a contractor of our choice and has opened an investigation on Ivan and Legacy Home Comfort. Don't be fooled by the 5-star reviews. read more

I was referred to Legacy Home Comfort through our home warranty company. They were easy to work with in getting the appointment set. The technician showed up on time. The heat pump system suddenly stopped working, necessitating the call. After 3 hours of troubleshooting I was told that there had to be a leak in the 5 year old heat pump, but that he couldn't find one. Then he want back up to look at the A coil and said that there looked to be a leak in the A coil and that the system would have to be replaced. This was the information that was passed to the home warranty company. I found this fishy for a 5 year old system and decided to get a second opinion through the company I have used for years, paid the diagnostic fee and within 30 minutes they found the issue. The schrader valve on the outside unit had failed and leaked out the refrigerant. After replacement of the valve and a recharge of the system everything is working fine. I can only speculate what Legacy Home Comfort was trying to pull with the home warranty company or their technician was unqualified to troubleshoot the system. In any case I would not use this company. Looking at their reviews, this seems to be a recurring theme. read more

This company was absolutely amazing. They communicated throughout the entire process. From my first call, to when they were en route for the initial visit and repair. They let me know when the part would be in. The inducer motor on my rental property went out and they got on it very fast. They didn't miss a beat. Very very thorough. I'm a REALTOR and through all the vendors I've ever worked with, I've never been wowed like they wowed me. We have a home warranty which arranged for Legacy Home Comfort to service a residential HVAC system in Aldie, Va. We were excited when Legacy first arrived at our home. We were initially impressed and hopeful. Then, after waiting for a week and a half for a small part, our system still does not operate properly... We had to call Legacy after one week to get a status on the part. When a a technician finally arrived and installed a new ignitor by 'hard-wiring' it, the HVAC unit is still not operating properly - it is heating now, but It continues to turn off and on on every few seconds to every few minutes and still has difficulty reaching the set temperature. The technician advised he would not be performing a system check the unit to ensure it was performing properly. He did, however, offer to sell us a 'priority customer' package for $80 so we would receive prompt attention in the future... The technician then departed after getting us to sign the service call sheet indicating they installed the part. We called our warranty company and was advised we would have to pay for another service call. The bottom line is that we are barely better off than when we started almost two weeks ago. As simple system check would have revealed that we still needed a thermal sensor which is why we called for service in the first place. After this experience, we cannot recommend this company at all. I assume if you pay extra to become a 'preferred customer' they will possibly be more responsive and thorough. But I have advise everybody we meet to stay away from Legacy - we are severely disappointed in their service. read more

And once in a blue moon they answered the phone, but the man hang up my phone while I was still talking. They declined my request through Home warranty, saying they have no records in their systems. When our air conditioner broke, our home warranty company called Legacy. It took them 4 days to send someone over, the guy diagnosed it immediately without opening it up and observing first, he replaced the starter (which turned out not to be issue) and left without checking the vents to make sure if it was fixed. Sure enough, replacing the starter didn't fix anything, so when we called to send him back out here, the people on the phone were incredibly rude and refused to send him back out. Our home warranty company tried to call them but ended up calling a different company. read more
