However, the system was not set up correctly from the start. It relied heavily on auxiliary heat during heating and failed to cool properly when tested at the start of summer. When I reached out to Meade's, their technician confirmed that the outdoor unit wasn't operating correctly and that the refrigerant was significantly out of specification. As a result, the system effectively ran in an incorrect configuration for nearly three months during peak winter, leading to significantly higher electricity bills (about 3x normal). Once corrected, the system behavior changed immediately. This was also clearly evidenced through Nest thermostat history, which showed auxiliary heat being used on nearly every heating cycle during that period. I understand that energy usage was higher for many homeowners during the colder months, but in this case the system behavior changed noticeably after the issue was fixed, which points to a setup issue rather than just weather. These were installation-related issues that should have been caught during initial setup. While Meade's was responsive in sending a technician after i reached out to them to get the system checked, there was no acknowledgment of the impact beyond that. Despite the elevated energy costs, no credits or accommodation were offered. Overall, good responsiveness, but disappointing quality control and follow-through after installation.

John came out and was very straight forward and up front with everything he did. He explained the issue to me, how he would fix it, and even provided some recommendations I may want to do in the future. My second time I used Bluestar was on a Sunday and they are closed on Sunday's. I did not realize this at first and left them a voicemail in the morning. Realizing they were closed I called another company who would have charged me more than Bluestar to come out later that afternoon to look at the problem which was that my Nest Thermostat was giving an E73 error code meaning it was not getting power. To my surprise I received a call from John at Bluestar that afternoon prior to the other HVAC company coming out. I discussed my thermostat issue not getting power with John and he suggested several troubleshooting fixes I could try over the phone. After eliminating several causes of what the problem may be John suggested holding down the front panel cover switch to the unit to see if a power light was coming on. In doing this I noticed sometimes the light would come on and sometimes it would not. There seemed to be a loose connection in the a wire that was causing the switch not to supply power. After playing with the switch for a few minutes I got the power to stay on and the problem was fixed. John solved my problem and saved me a good deal of money as I canceled my appointment with the other HVAC company. John took over 20 minutes talking to me on the phone going above an beyond to help me solve my AC issue on the day the company is closed. I would highly recommend BluStar to anyone and will use them for all my future HVAC needs.

I called BlueStar and they were able to squeeze me in within a few hours. Isaac was able to diagnose the problem quickly and got my AC running. He was very professional and explained the issue. All I needed was my dryer vents / duct cleaned and I called MVM home service because of these reviews and I wanted to write one too No frills. Seem very honest. They sent a technician named Edwardo. He was super professional and kind. Explained everything beginning and end. Didn't lie about the charges. Said it was 165 over the phone and thats all I paid. I liked them a lot and plan to use them for hvac maintenance in the future. I highly recommend!

Of course the owner of MVM said the leak started after they put in 7 quarts of refrigerant. I have no proof when it started. Did he fail to find a leak before he put in all that refrigerant? I will never know. I know we are out $1,796. The tech who came out said he would order a part and it would be here in 2 or three days.. after a few days i contacted him and left messages but he responded once but I texted again and he never responded. The owner never responded to my texts. Several days passed so I contacted another company. Krafft Service was recommended so I called them last week. They got a coil in a week and was installed today. MVM Home service has a lot of 5 star reviews, but reviews are not always honest. I'm not saying those for MVM are not honest but I have had companies on Yelp and Amazon offer me gift cards or money if I will remove anything negative I have written about them and some even offer me something before I write anything, I don't trust MVM Home Service. They don't take responsibility

Back in August, I had quotes lined up for a full AC/furnace split system replacement, thinking I'd be proactive. Fast forward to December--procrastination met karma. I frantically called the "favorites" from my quote list. Spoiler alert: everyone was booked solid for 72+ hours. Enter Yelp. I posted a "New Project" like a desperate SOS flare, and Jay from SwiftPro responded at 5AM. Yes, FIVE. AM. Who does that? Heroes, that's who. We set noon, then he messaged back: "Actually, we can be there at 9." Rich Kelly showed up, tape measure in hand, and answered every question like he wrote the HVAC encyclopedia. Then came the quote--let's just say my jaw hit the floor harder than my frozen toes. And this was peak cold season! One condition: install tomorrow. Rich made a call, and two minutes later, it was locked in. Next morning, Dave MacClary and his green apprentice arrived like HVAC Avengers. Rain? No problem. They worked efficiently, educated me on air scrubbers, recommended duct cleaning (because apparently my ducts were auditioning for a dust storm), and wrapped up in 6-8 hours. The install looked flawless. These guys have only been in business for about a year and a half, but their professionalism and hustle make them feel like seasoned pros. I almost don't want to share this review because I want them all to myself--but good work deserves recognition. I'll be signing up for their membership because, honestly, why would I ever call anyone else? SwiftPro didn't just fix my heat--they restored my faith in customer service. If you're freezing and frustrated, call them. Just don't take my spot in line.

I call him back five times within those 15 minutes and he actually hangs up on me. I call their office they say they'll get back to me, they never did. Maybe they're great plumbers I don't know but their scheduling/service is garbage.
