Update: I have a nail infection. Beware of this place. I never write bad reviews but I had to based on my experience (and clearly I am not the only one). I walked in for a pedicure and had such an unpleasant experience. The man was so rude and so rough with everything he did. I really had to check several times to see if I was bleeding. The scrub and massage was rough and painful and unpleasant. By the end of the pedicure it was clear he was done with me and wanted me to leave so he took my flip flops and made me walk barefoot (slippery and also gross because lotion was still on my feet) to the fan area to dry off, threw my shoes on the ground and left without a word. I sat there for 10 minutes before putting my own shoes on and checking out. The pressure to tip is intense, when I didn't want to leave anything. It wasn't until I got home that I realized how sloppy the paint job was. Paint everywhere on the skin and cuticles, uneven file, the worst job I've ever had. I got this particular pedicure because I just had hip surgery and can't do my own toes and instead I was doubled over fixing his job, exactly what I was trying to avoid. I brought my daughter in here for her first time getting acrylic nails and a pedicure. She had a complicated picture for reference and Harley did such an amazing job at recreating the design! My daughter couldn't be more proud or happier of her nails. This is my go to place! I love picking Eric for my pedicure, he doesn't disappoint! I had an Inspo pic of cheetah print nails and a line under it of silver glitter. I told the lady that I only wanted that; not the sticker of the snowflake.. she said OK and proceeded to call over four different employees and they were just speaking in their language and it seemed like she was talking crap about it because she took my phone from me zoomed into the picture of the snowflake and was making hands movement throwing her hands at my phone in a upset/rude manner. Then she started arguing with the younger lady and took my phone from me and gave it to the other lady so she called me over to her desk. The younger lady apologized and said she'll do my nails. I wanted a light brown more of a tan under the cheetah print background but she insisted on pink which now makes sense because it costs more! I wanted an almond shape but got a square shape. I told her I wanted them shorter as well and she straight up said no, she won't go shorter!! They left the regular clear background which is where I'd rather have had the pink like on my inspo pic. I was charged 85 and the pressure to tip was a little rude so I tipped 15% which was the lowest option! So I spent $97.75 and the older manager lady came over to the younger lady and told her to charge me $85 and I know because she said it with her fingers, the least she could do is speak their language but yeah very rude and if you're good at reading body language it sucks because you can tell when they are talking trash about you. Well, so happy my hubby comes with me in a nail salon! We got a pedi-mani date! The place is nice and clean. I gave 3 stars for cleanliness, thorough service and price. (there's a 5% discount if you pay CASH) We had a good service from Tom and Lyn they're gentle and thorough. But unfortunately for the "first time" I've had a toenail (boo-boo) and it's pretty deep one. It's a bloody mess! One of the nail tech that worked with my pedicure had a mishap! She apologized afterwards and at least make an effort to fix (stop the bleeding) and put some powdered "something" not sure if that's the antibiotic?! While writing this review my toenail still hurts. But still this salon is decent enough for me to recommend to someone I know, Just don't go there if they're busy,especially on weekends. read more

She's amazing, there's not enough words to describe how amazing is she. She's delicate and just great at what she does. Hands or Feet, she never misses. I asked the woman that was going to be doing my mother's service, if we could get some cocktails. She gave me the nastiest look and ignored me. When she came back in the space, she rudely said Micheal was sitting in front of me. Insinuating that I needed to ask him if i wanted something to drink. First off, it doesn't matter who is doing my feet. If I ask you a question, I deserve the respect of an answer. If I'm paying for three people and you haven't started any service, why be rude? I went yesterday to get a pedicure and manicure. The pedicure was fine, but the manicure was not. I got dip mauve nail color. The manicure was lumpy and uneven, thick in some spots and the mauve nail color had visible black spots. I had to go and could not wait for them to fix it so I went in today (the next day). After looking at the entire manicure, I asked that it be taken off completely since it was overall lumpy, thick, and not good. The receptionist said she could fix it and that it would take just as long to fix the nails rather than take it all off. I expressly told her that I could not stay long because I had a meeting in 1 hour. She said it wouldn't be an issue to fix it in an hour. I decided to give them a second chance. She tried to fix the black spots and the lumpiness. In doing so, the dip continued to have black spots. It seemed that the dip was contaminated. She tried to take the black spots off, and in doing so, the color became blotchy. She said if that was okay. I told her no because the color was visibly blotchy. She then said she would do gel nail which I did not want but she went ahead and did it anyway. Then, when she was taking the cuticles off, she cut my right pinky nail cuticle. The blood got on my nail bed and she proceeded to paint over my blood with the nail gel color. This is very unsanitary. The nails continue to be lumpy. She also reshaped my nails to a shape I did not want. I will be taking the nail color off myself as I am still very unhappy with how they look. I will not be going back due to the quality of their work and, most importantly, due to their lack of sanitation. I called to get a refund and messaged their website, but have not heard back. I will update this post on whether they have made contact with me about this situation. read more

On multiple occasions, I've arrived for my scheduled appointment only to find out my nail tech, Mia, wasn't even there. Today was the last straw: I waited for ten minutes with no explanation or update. When I finally asked the receptionist, she casually mentioned Mia wasn't in. Why wasn't I told right away? Why wasn't I offered a drink or any courtesy while I waited? This is not how you treat a loyal customer. Communication is key in any business, and Nails Couture has completely dropped the ball. After 3 years of my patronage, this is the level of service I receive? I'm fed up. They will not get another dime of my money. This place lacks any ounce of customer service and proper business etiquette. I went to remove dip on natural nails for the first time there. The lady was extremely rough. She decided to remove the dip with a fake nail and went under my natural nail until I screamed in pain. She also cut the edge of my cuticle. During checkout, when I brought up the complaint, there were about 5 people standing. When I voiced my concern, they just turned around and started to laugh. When I said this is not funny, they decided to speak in their language. I still proceeded to ask them, "This is a bad cut. What can you do?" They said they would still charge full price. When I said I would write a review of how bad the service is here, they just shrugged their shoulders and stared at us. The worst customer service. Unfortunately, this was my first and likely last visit. The price did not match the quality of service. Nearly everything felt like an add-on, which quickly made the experience feel less relaxing and more transactional. The nail polish application was subpar--they forgot the top coat, which I didn't realize until after leaving because I was catching up with a friend during the pedicure. The final result looked mediocre, which was especially frustrating considering this was one of the most expensive pedicures I've ever had. Very disappointing overall. read more

Spent 60 for a pedicure, I had to ask for my color to be repainted because not enough polish was applied on my smaller toes. They were nice enough to do that but promptly kicked us out by placing my sandals on my feet and asking us to just pay up front. My toes weren't even dry! Not sure if that's standard practice or they were just offended I politely asked them to correct their work. And as soon as I brushed up against something guess what? The polish completely smudged. I read reviews before coming here so my hopes were somewhat low. I have been on the hunt for finding a new salon since my last one is not any good anymore. This salon is close to home which is super helpful! I called around 10AM on Tuesday- I was expecting them to be packed since everywhere else was. She answered the phone very quickly and was so sweet! She said she could take me right then and there! When I arrived everything was clean, and quiet! Customer service was amazing! She asked if my husband and I would like anything to drink and offered us a drink menu! We got mimosas and were seated next to each-other in the pedicure chairs! Tom took care of me- and another gal took care of my husband. They were incredibly polite and Tom listened to everything I said! For my nails unfortunately I had gotten black acrylic powder at the last salon and he was informing me that red and black powder you pretty much can't cover up- I was a little disappointed (in myself for making that mistake!) but he suggested Cateye (which I've never done) and he took it very seriously!! I have the stiletto nails right now and the last person did awful.. totally caked on the acrylic and made them look like bird feet. Tom asked if I liked it & the curve and I said absolutely not- he fixed it for me!! I'm sad to see some of the bad reviews, but this was just my personal experience. They have been around for 3 1/2 months and work very hard and are very welcoming and kind to their customers! Horrible Job! I was rushed after they said they could provide the service. My nails weren't filed or sculpted. They weren't even polished properly. Lumpy, they kept telling me how much it cost. $45 dollars ! Ok! The work they did wasn't worth $2.00! I've had three broken nails in a week! They weren't even accommodating! The first time I came I got one of the best pedicures of my life. Thorough massage, gel polish was expertly painted on well shaped nails. The second time was on a Saturday morning, first appointment when they opened and the same guy did an ok job. I think he was distracted by how busy the day was going to be and turning through customers quickly, he forgot the massage entirely. Maybe the callous removal through him off , not sure but inconsistency is a turn off for me. I ended up with a fungal infection which took weeks to clear up, but I guess that could happen at any of these places. Fast forward a few months and we give this place another chance, Friday we go back for pedicures and this lady was rough, clipped the nails too short and was scraping my cuticles aggressively. I left with the side of my big toe red and tender/hurting. Only a few hours later it was swollen and inflamed. I dumped peroxide on it and put on antibiotic ointment, but it was too late. I woke up with it oozing pus where she poked me with her instrument. Bottom line this place has sterilization issues and is too concerned with volume and are overlooking safety. It looks nice but beware. $100 for an infectious mani/pedi (w/gel polish), and two out of three times someone in our group got an infection or was injured. read more

Loved that it's 3 minutes from my house. The place is clean and relaxing and thought that I could stop driving back to the East Bay FINALLY for my mani pedi. Technician did a good job but on two occasions, I received a call in the morning to confirm my appointment and when I arrived on time both times, they'd given my appointment away to "someone with the same name" and asked me to return later. When I tip $20 for a gel manicure, I expect to be remembered and not treated second class. I was told that they changed receptionist and, lo and behold, it happened a 3rd time. Ladies, take the drive and go to your usual nail tech and don't come to this sketchy establishment out of convenience. I wanted to give my nails a break from gel to breath so I chose regular polish for my manicure and they charged me $10 to remove my gel nails on top of my manicure! Extremely disappointed. Went today, 9/9, for a pedicure. The place is super nice and clean inside. But my technician wasn't so great. Her and a co-worker were constantly whispering to one another having to pause my service to do so. Then when she started painting my nails I asked her to fix my toes shape as one big toe is round and the other is square and also clean up the polish on my skin. This was a last-minute appointment that I made for my husband and myself. I read the reviews and thought that we would give it a try. Walking in, it was clean and well organized. When we sat down, they filled the pedicure bowl with COLD water. My husband and I both said that the water was cold, but the ladies did not understand what we were saying. They literally took their gloves off to feel the water....That was resolved. At the end of the pedicure when the polish was applied, it was super sloppy. It was on my skin and on my other toes. When I brought it to her attention, she said "your toenails too short. Grow long." I said "no.....I do not like long toenails. They rub in my shoe,"" and I do not like that." I told her to leave it and I would take care of it when I got home. The polish peeled off all of my toes except my pinkies. If you know how gel works, if it gets globed on, it will peel off quick.
