Tried this place for the second time and I think it'll be my last time ordering from here: Cream Cheese Wontons: the ONLY thing they do well in my opinion. Not worth coming back for. I can get an order of 10 of these at Peony Chinese Cuisine and it'll have a better sweet and sour to go with it. Chicken Satay: weird. It doesn't come on a stick and has some weird white stuff on it. The peanut sauce isn't really good either. Massaman Curry: very strange just like the yellow curry we ordered last time. Weird consistency and just not good. Tom Kha Gai: it's so-so. One of the best in Temecula for Thai. They use fresh, great tasting ingredients and it comes through in their food. I've been ordering food from these guys for a while now(too many to list) and they've yet to disappoint my wife and I. The service and quality are consistent and with the way things are now a days that goes a long way. S Thai is also open later than most places that aren't big chain restaurants and if you ever have any issues they'll be happy to accommodate be it a wrong order(which hasn't happened yet) or diet restrictions. Highly recommend trying S Thai for your next Thai food experience. read more

I was passing by this place a decided to try it out for lunch. I ordered the lunch special (pad Thai) the ladies here are extremely friendly, with great service. But it is unfortunate that the food was no good. The soup that came with the meal is made from chicken but is all broth. The taste waste decent but not great. My food came and it looked good. But I was highly disappointed with the pad Thai. It is not a original recipe and it tastes a bit sweet. No peanut butter no nuts. Which is good for someone who has allergies. It may be for some people but it's not for me. read more

This place is really good for the lunch specials. This was my go-to when I was pregnant because I couldn't stop craving their Panang curry (yum!) and Fried Tofu. I don't know if it's just me, but nowadays, their food quality isn't consistent. Some days are better than others - today, we ordered the sweet and sour tofu and it was a bit overwhelming. We ordered for delivery. Very disappointed with our food. The pad see ew was stuck together and broccoli not fresh. It looks like it has been cooked for sometime and reheated. The eggrolls were soggy. The pineapple fried rice was bland and too oily. The green curry w/ tofu tasted ok but no other veggies included. We are asian and we know how these foods taste and look like when cooked fresh. Sad for others who are not versed how these food are cooked and how it should taste. SOOOO worth. Such a small little spot that my love and I stumbled across and the workers and servers were absolutely the sweetest and so attentive. The flavor of the food for Thai food in the area really surprised me (my family is lao and we have very similar cuisine so you bet I'm picky as HAIIIL) and for me this place hit the notes beautiful. COME HERE FOR BOMB THAI FOOD!! Atmosphere: This place gives off a very authentic thai vibe and is perfect for bringing people to for family dinners. I went with a couple of my friends and we all had a really good time and the meal was great! Staff: The staff were very nice and got our orders to us really fast. They also made sure to check up on us to make sure that the food was good and that we were satisfied. Good service in general! Food: We ordered a ton of food to share family-style (pad thai, pad see ew, curry, etc.) and everything was super good and flavorful. It also wasn't too spicy which is good because sometimes I die. My favorite was the pineapple curry, especially when you dump it over your rice. Omg amazing. Price: If you share it with your friends, it's probably $15 plus tip which isn't so bad since you're getting a lot of quality food, so it was appropriately priced! I came here last night (on Friday) for my lunch break, which happened to be bumped up to 45 minutes from 30. I work across the street and I've been here a couple times already. I knew it was a hit or miss, but I was willing to risk it. The time I arrived was about 6:40ish. Anyway, I should've walked out the door and headed over to Waba Grill as soon as I asked the price on the green papaya salad, because she was incorrect and apparently didn't know her own menu. She quoted like $18 or something, but I must've looked confused because she proceeded to hand me a menu and I sat down. I looked at the price of the papaya salad and it was $12.99. So did she just want me to leave?! A different gal took my order and I wasn't handed any water (rude) and felt rushed. I wasn't recommended anything and after I placed my order (a small Thai tea and beef larb-spicy). About 10 minutes after I ordered, she came back to ask (with a slightly sarcastic tone), "You ordered the pork larb, correct"? I said "no, the beef larb" (when originally it was chicken lol). She looked unhappy to "help" and I felt intentionally ignored all around. I received my Thai tea (pretty weak imho) then about ten minutes later I received my meal. Mind you it's just the beef larb with the cucumber, and little lettuce pieces and carrot for garnish, rice not included. Unfortunately I forgot to take my phone with me so I couldn't take pictures, but the presentation was deceptive. While it looked pretty on the outside, as soon as I took my first bite, I was underwhelmed! It was overpowering with the garlic and not enough lime and fresh cilantro and this is coming from a garlic lover. I only tried beef larb once before from Spicy Noodle off of Hot Springs and Madison. Difference of night and day! I don't know if it was traditional or not, but there was little gritty bits/clumps of garlic powder on the top of the dish that tasted like bits of dirt or sand in my mouth. I just drunk up the tea as fast as I could and took a few bites and asked for a to-go box for the rest. As I was sliding the rest of my meal off the plate into the box, I noticed a lot of liquid underneath all the meat. It was a bit unappetizing to say the least! I don't know why I left them with a $2 tip, because they didn't earn it, but I usually like to tip for everything. I didn't get a receipt, so that's kind of a red flag, but they made me sign for the debit card transaction. Another red flag was that when I called the number to the restaurant this afternoon to speak to someone about this horrible experience, it just went to voicemail, which is ALL FULL. Looks like I'm headed over there tonight to give them a piece of my mind! Oh the price of the entree and drink with tax, came out to be $23.91. Definitely not worth it! read more

since they outsourced delivery to Door dash and make you order online thier delivery times are missing the mark greatly , not worth the 7.00 delivery fee, my food is currently 30 minutes late and counting. They used to be spot on delivery times when you could order by phone. Last time I ordered they were 20 minutes late but the food was still flavorful despite having to reheat it myself. I'll update and food quality for this delivery if it ever shows up. Update.... About 35 minutes late, noodles had good flavor and were plentiful, Warm -ish, dumplings were cold and disappointing. I received 5 for $8.99 won't waste my time ordering delivery here anymore. Maybe pickup or dine in if I'm close by. Definitely not worth the $7.00 dollar delivery fee if you live close by. read more

I was in between giving this place a 3 or 4, I felt like a 3.5 would of been appropriate but it's also Rona time so I didn't want to be a total a hole. My go to Thai place was closed for Christmas but I saw on Temecula talk this place was open. We ordered orange chicken, fresh spring rolls, Tom yum soup and panang curry. Orange chicken- soggy as they put the sauce on it not on the side Panang curry- lack of flavor Spring rolls- bitter cabbage not good Tom yum soup- again lack of flavor I am comparing this to my go to Thai place and also the Thai places in Kearny Mesa since I work in the area. The flavor is almost there for me but it seems to be liked by many others. I may give it a try again maybe in 6 months or so. I appreciate them being open on Christmas so that was a plus! read more

I never write reviews, but the experience was so disappointing that I believe no one should go through it, I took my girlfriend there it was so embarrassing how bad everything was. We decided to give it a try because it was one of the few places opened at the time. When we arrived it was all empty and quiet, which we didn't like! they offered us the booth but was so cold near the door so we decided to take one of those tiny tables, and still my gf was freezing. We ordered the chicken satay as an appetizer and it came out till after the pad Thai shrimp arrived, the flavor was not outstanding, shrimp wasn't enough. We also ordered the short ribs they took forever!, and the restaurant was empty!, but I could tell they had togo orders, the short ribs were HARD, we wouldn't be able to chew it!, we didn't say anything because we could see the kitchen staff already cleaning the kitchen, and it would take forever again for them to re do it.Plus, The thai tea is extremely sweet, I told the server I had a question for the manager and she said that she was not there but she could call her...shady, wonder why everything was so bad.... Last night my wife and I ordered Pad See Ew and Drunken Noodles to go. I mixed the chili flake into the drunken noodles and start to eat. After about 5 bites a hear a large crunch and feel a large amount of pain coming from my lower left rear molar. I instantly spit out the bite I was chewing and go through the my half chewed food to find out what caused the issue. After some poking around I started to find big hard shards of transparent material and small shards of hard white material. The transparent shards I bit into were clearly glass and the white material were chunks of my tooth. My mouth was bleeding and in pain and I could feel my lower rear left molar had a large chunk missing. This place is really fucked up for letting glass into their food. It was clear they broke some glass around the chili flake oil or around one of the ingredients that makes up the drunken noodles and instead of throwing away everything that could have potentially had glass in it, they tried to salvage some of that contaminated food and serve it to their customers. This was my first and last time eating at this place. What really pisses me off more about this whole situation is that my wife and I are currently introducing various solid foods to our 1 year old daughter and we both gave our daughter noodles from our dishes. It really makes my blood boil that this restaurants cheap and lazy owner and employees would let this type of shit slide and make it other people's problem just to save a few dollars from product loss. Now I have to take a day off work to go to the dentist and get my tooth fixed or if the tooth is past repairable I'll have to go through the process of getting it removed and replaced with some artificial tooth. It sucks that all of that will end up coming out of my pocket. I would suggest everyone to stay away from place. This type of shit happening is never worth the risk from a place that disregards their quality control like this. There are plenty of other great Thai and Asian restaurants in the area that I have gone too over and over again without one issue. I hope this review helps others avoid the same bullshit this restaurant is currently putting me through. Also incase any other customers found glass in their food, I purchased my order around 8pm on April 22nd 2026.

I recently visited S Thai Food, and I have to say, the food was absolutely amazing. The flavors were bold, the spices were well-balanced, and everything was seasoned to perfection. I ordered the pineapple rice with chicken, drunken noodles with chicken, beef, and shrimp, as well as the orange chicken with white rice, and each dish was incredibly delicious. No complaints at all about the food--it truly lived up to its reputation. That being said, the customer service could use some improvement. When I arrived for my pickup order, the staff seemed very busy, and I wasn't immediately acknowledged in a welcoming way. One staff member was on the phone while trying to take my name for the order, which led to some confusion. After waiting a bit, another staff member came from the back and assisted me, which made the process smoother. As for the ambiance, the restaurant is small and cozy, with a vibrant feel, but it might not be the best choice for those looking to dine in comfortably, as the space can feel a bit crowded. I love S!!! Thai Food, and their service is usually great. Most of the time, they have friendly servers who make you feel welcome. However, this time, my experience was disappointing. I ordered a meal to go, and when I arrived to pick it up, I was assisted by a server named Bella C. Unfortunately, I did not feel welcomed or acknowledged. She barely made eye contact and didnt respond when I said thank you it felt as if she didn't want to be there. Good customer service includes basic manners. If a customer requests something, the server should pay attention or ask for clarification to ensure they get it right. I specifically asked for the Thai chili paste that they have on the table, but instead, I received something that smelled like fish and wasn't what I wanted. Her attitude was so unapproachable that I didn't even feel comfortable asking for a correction. I understand that everyone has good and bad days, but negativity shouldn't be passed on to customers. This experience left a bad impression, and considering the prices aren't cheap, I expect better service. I came back with high hopes tonight for dinner but was left disappointed. I came with my family for a pre Thanksgiving dinner . I had a different server tonight and she was a bit stand off-ish and didn't seem to care about the customers. We had chicken pad Thai, spicy mint, and Thai fried rice .. My food was ready but i watched it sit on top of the counter for 10 minutes before she brought it to my table because she was doing something in the booth, looked like she was taking "selfies" haha .. Anyways, I didn't ask for any spice but somehow our food had a bit of spice but we just tolerated it because we didn't want to have to wait for a new one. I asked for a refill about twice and never got my refill, so imagine eating cold, semi hard noodles without water. This use to be my favorite Thai spot, I'm sad to say that this is no longer the case. I always order massaman curry with chicken with a Thai iced coffee. When the food arrived to our table it appeared that the coconut milk was separated from the rest of the dish. I tried it anyway and it tasted really watered down. Something happened to the quality of the food here, I'm really disappointed, not to mention I am feeling quite queasy after eating this. I will not be eating here in the future :-/ read more

TERRIYAKI CHICKEN PLATE: 9/10 I'm not east to please when it comes to teriyaki chicken. There's just so many ways it can be made so badly. But, I was impressed with this one. It reminded me of the Yoshinoya teriyaki chicken minus the chicken skin. Their teriyaki sauce was on the watery side though... SERVICE: It was OK. Felt like rush hour the movie!! It was so busy that you will feel like another number unless you go there a lot then they'll recognize you and say hey buddy!!! It was our first time so we got crickets. Anyways, just go for the food and don't overthink too much about the service. We felt a bit out of place as ASIANS entering an ASIAN restaurant. As most of the customers were NON ASIANS!!! AMBIANCE: Asians should be nice to Asians right? It didn't always happen that way. Race doesn't matter it's about the personality and understanding... I UNDERSTAND CHINA ONE RESTAURANT!!!!!

My wife went in to order food to go, well one of the workers is out front of the restaurant smoking a cigarette not only blowing it back into the restaurant but after he finished I watched him walk right back to the kitchen and start cooking. Never washed his hand. Disgusting! So I work in tell them I don't want to eat their food and give me my money back. They all stair at me like I'm stupid and they guy continues to cook and never goes washed his hand. I can just imagine how dirty this place is....... Be careful eating here.

I'm a long time fan of Peony's, back to 1992. The food is consistent and just as good as it ever…read morewas. My family loves the house chicken and the won ton soup with chili paste. The veggie chow mein and shrimp fried rice are always a must. Peony's is generous with their proportions too. We always have leftovers. They've moved locations a couple of times. Now they are located behind the Target center. A little tricky to find the first time, but easy after that. We do take out so I actually don't know what the dining area looks like. I'll have to take a look next time. Our order is always ready and piping hot. Service is perfect.

Design and lay out could be much more cozy and appealing. Get an interior designer to help you. Also no hard benches to sit on. You need firm, comfortable restaurant cushions. Not inexpensive flimsy cheap cushions. Could be great. Needs professional interior design help.
