Bobby came out to the house and to be honest I do not specialize in AC units. He could have said it's the fetzer valve and charged me $500 and I would have been none the wiser. Instead, he was incredibly friendly, communicated exactly what he was doing, showed me exactly what was wrong with the unit and took care of it immediately at a very reasonable price. wish I could leave 0 stars! Absolutely will never be contacting this company again! Totally uncaring and honestly terrible service!! Left without even making sure the AC was working properly after having to come back a second time/day when the parts they got the first day didn't work... of course it was Friday when they came out the second time and left before even making sure it was working!!! So NO GO ALL WEEKEND NOT EVEN A TEXT BACK till Monday saying they can't come till Tuesday (this is still ongoing since Thursday and it's day 5 and not expecting them back till day 6! Tuesday!!! Grant it sat and Sunday fell between those days which they absolutely didn't care that the work they did on Friday evening was faulty and not WORKING!!! RIDICULOUS Fingers crossed we can figure it out the 3rd time!!! Small biz that takes advantage of their clients when using American homeshield. We have been out of our home for 8 days, its 100 degrees outside and our home is not livable. They drag their feet and will not follow up and help us order needed part for our ac after being paid $$$$. We paid them and they will not answer calls. But when i reach out about replacing a/c unit they reply that they will be at our home in less than 12 hrs to replace, when all we need is a part. They do not want to fix your ac, they want to replace your entire ac unit so they can make $$$$$$$$$$$. STAY away from BOB and his wife, useless and heartless. They do not care that we have kids and we have struggled to find new places to stay out of this heat. read more

DO NOT use this company. They came to work on our AC for our Home Shield warranty and they said they could install a new Trane at a great price, so we went with them. The new Trane never could cool our house and they kept coming back to try to fix it. Our electric bills were sky rocketing because the unit ran all the time trying to cool. They couldn't identify the problem in a timely manner. We have a different company inspect and service our units at home and our business and they came and told us the coil in the Trane is bad. So I told SA Cool Zone and then they said oh yeah the coil is bad. They claimed the coil was on back order (6 months or so) and that they would have to charge us for labor to install the new one since it had been more than a year since the install (even though I had been complaining since day 1). They kept putting us off for many months so I had my other AC company install a new coil. They got the coil the next day. The company that fixed it also said that Bobby left the Rheme Halo AND the float switch disconnected, so they weren't even working. And finally, the last time Bobby came to look at it he broke the overhead attic stairs and didn't even tell us. I think they changed the name of their business from A US AIR because of bad reviews, but that's speculation on my part. Also, Karla A. left a 5 star review - I'm pretty sure that is Karla Ashcroft, Bobby's wife. Again, speculation. Do not use them. read more

Had them come out because of my home warranty for my a/c. They​ looked and said there was no issue, had them come back out a couple weeks later and all of sudden it's because of a coil leak. They replaced the whole unit in the attic but they didn't actually hook it up to the house, so all the air was just blowing in the attic. Had to pay for them to come back out to fix it but a month later and there's no change still. Literally the house heats and cools the same as it did before they replaced the unit. Can't recommend against them enough. read more

Nov 22, 2021 USA Air Conditioning & Heating came to install our HVAC. Did not pull permits (still haven't to this day), did not complete the job (still waiting on the promised vent for the bedroom), and still haven't given us our CPS paperwork to file for the rebate we are entitled to. Bobby Ashcraft has one excuse after another to avoid completing this job. It's now end of December and he doesn't answer phone calls or texts. He owed us money for two weeks that he kept saying he would get to us. Never seemed to find the time until I contacted a mutual friend to help who referred him to us and also refers his business to others. Suddenly then he could get the money right to us! But still none of the other things he owes us. This guy seems really nice until he gets your money. And then he ghosts you. Was told the bad reviews online for him were actually meant for another business with a similar name. Nope, they are for him, too! Cannot recommend you NOT deal with him strongly enough! This company is GREAT. They were sent out by our home warranty company called American Home Shield. It's been 100+ degrees here in San Antonio and one of our A/C units went out. I contacted their office, and they were out here within 2 days. Our time was 1 to 3 on a Wednesday, The Tech named NAZ called and was able to see us 1 1/2 hours earlier. GREAT!! We showed him our thermostat was at 72 and the air coming out of the vent in the room was 80. He immediately went outside and opened up the air condenser unit and went right to the capacitor. We could see that the capacitor was swollen, an indication of it going bad.He had the problem diagnosed, repaired and working within 20 minutes. THE BEST A/C company I have ever used!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more
