The not-so-good is that the food was not hot or fresh. The fried items lacked any crisp with minimal flavor. The popcorn shrimp are not popcorn shrimp. They are tiny. We were in the area, so I suggested to my husband that we stop by. I would rate the food a solid 7/10. A year ago, I would have easily given this place a 10/10, but something has definitely changed in the kitchen. As you walk in, you can get any table you like, place an order at the counter, they bring your food to the table. I don't like much that they use plastic containers and plates even for dine-in, but I guess it's more convenient for the staff work there to clean up and maintain, so I guess it's fine! They have fried shrimps, oysters, catfish, po-boys, you can make combo if you like. For seafood boil, you can choose from shrimp, snow carb, crawfish and they also have fried rice and lo mein (fried noodle) AND MORE! (great sides, chicken wings as well!) They don't sell booze, but since it's BYOB, you can bring your own booze (there's a HEB right next to it). I've tried this place three times so far, so I've tried fried oysters, chicken wings, seafood fried rice, chicken nuggets, snow crab seafood boil, etc. and they were all above average. The hubby and I stopped by a couple weeks ago and went a little overboard with our order. He likes seafood and I don't, so we order a little bit of everything; po-boy sandwich, fried rice, jalapeno poppers, lemon pepper wings and buffalo wings. In my opinion all of their portions are family size, so a couple of dishes can take you a long way (we definitely order too much food). They were fried to a crisp on the outside but perfect and juicy on the inside. I ordered online and they accept Apple Pay so it was a quick transaction. When I arrived my order was ready. I didn't get to talk to the workers bc I was on the phone but they passed me my order with a friendly smile. Sorry guys but there is a massive amount of room for improvement. Ordered the catfish and shrimp combo with fries and also the hush puppies. Catfish filets are way to thin. You can control this with your supplier. 85% of the fillet was basically corn meal on corn meal. Additionally, please fry upon request. You aren't a large establishment and no drive through, you can fry when ordered. Mine was not and I've been eating catfish for 43 years, easy for me to tell... also, train your chefs to salt right out of the frier and use a Cajun seasoning with your corn meal or the wash. The shrimp, I had 6 in my order, were extremely overcooked (chewy) and the batter was hard as a rock which also denotes previously fried shrimp that are reheated. Same concept for the salting and Cajun seasoning. I ate 1 1/2 of the shrimp, tossed the rest Fries also were unseasoned and as anyone can tell, these were frozen and bagged fries. Buy a potato French fry press, put a potato in there and the out of the frier, salt and season. So easy, and, much cheaper. The hush puppies were good but not originally fried and that's another short cut issue that is easily recognizable. I know the ownership/mgmt reads these so hopefully you will take these suggestions under advisement because other than the expensive Pappadeaux, you're the only "seafood joint" close. So you could do a lot better if we don't short cut quality and season things properly. read more

Love love love this place!!! It is so good! This isn't typically a place I would choose to eat at but I'm so glad I did. Their food is on a whole other level. Their fried rice and lo mein is some of the best I've ever had. I like that you can choose the spice level, I did medium this time but would love to try spicy. Wings are juicy, crisp, and just perfect. It reminded me more of fried chicken than an actual chicken wing and I LOVE that. Seafood is perfect. Light crispy crust that doesn't take away from the flavor of the seafood at all. I've had a lot of overly battered, disgusting, grease infested fried seafood dishes so I was nervous when my husband ordered this but this place knows what they're doing. 10/10 recommend. 100% going back ASAP.
