Great fastfood Cajun seafood place. We have returned a few times. Of i have anything bad to say is i wish the prices were a little lower.

I can rave all day about the crawfish fried rice! The crawfish is good as well as the po boys. This is not New Orleans style crawfish they pour the sauce and pick you level spice per your order. The dining area isn't that big so keep that in mind if you are planning to dine in. I would go in between or after lunch and dinner hours. read more

I had to try this place out since I had seen their food pics on IG and it looked so appetizing. I like that you order at the register and that you can sit wherever you like or take it to go. I ordered the boiled shrimp with special sauce. Omg! It was so good. It came on a bed of seafood fried rice and with a sausage link. The whole dish had great flavor. The special sauce elevated it. The serving size was humongous. I shared with my parents. I was surprised on how much seafood the rice had. I also ordered hush puppies and sweet potato. Both were good. You do have to pay for tartar sauce, which I think should be free, but I paid for it anyways. I've tried several things here, but my favorite are the vegetable noodles. They just totally hit the spot every time, full of flavor and you can basically make three meals out of it. Their corn and jalapeno poppers are also unexpectedly great! The seasoning in the corn is fantastic! Their fried shrimp are pretty good, but the fries aren't my favorite. The most enormous poop veins of any shrimp I have ever ordered at any restaurant I've been to were served here, so it's pass on the shrimp for me! The snow crab has very little meat (usual for snow crab), but the meat it does have is absolutely delicious, thanks to its seasoning! Mixing in Cajun style (gumbo, crawfish, catfish) with some more traditional East Coast options (crab cakes, lobster) this place holds up well! It is also VERY clean and well kept. The ONE downside is it is a bit pricey. This place is SO. GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!! I came here for their special on crab legs. I'm a crab leg fanatic. I've only had one other place that has crab this good in San Antonio. I moved here from Houston where you can find good crab anywhere. The smashin' place here in SA doesn't do it for me. This place does! They never eat spicy anything but killed 2 lbs themselves. I'm a spicy girl but the boyfriend isn't, so I ordered Medium for us. It was good for people that want a little spice. The potatoes were HUGE! The biggest potatoes I've seen served anywhere. The corn was delicious. I wanted to try the boiled egg and sausage but didn't- I will have to next time. When we showed up, the place was busy! Almost full- there were 2 men working the register and we didn't even have to wait long. I think they call the number and you pick up the food, but one of the guys brought it out to us and a couple other tables. They made sure to ask how it was and even wished me a happy birthday! First of the Cajun chicken was sooo good and fresh. I didn't really care for the shrimp only bc I don't think they were cleaned out. As in the veins/ poop. The crawfish was good as well. The outside appearance and inside decor was nice. I think it really sets the tone for "seafood" and draws you in. They have a nice variety of selection to choose from. The menu items are typical of seafood places like fried foods, platters, by the pound and PO boys. The batter was thick but seasoned well. I think it's a matter of preference on that though. I ordered the fried oysters, shrimp and catfish...all fried foods for that order! Fries were seasoned well, but the seafood had a bit more batter than I prefer and it was over cooked. Have eaten here numerous times and have never been disappointed. The catfish, shrimp and fries are my favorite meal.

Food was good, however I've never had the vein in shrimp problem at a restaurant before. Not only is the thought off putting but when fried it is like eating toothpicks. Chicken wings were good but nothing special. Although we had to wait quite a while for the food , expect nothing more than fast food ambience. Eating in is still completely take out containers and utensils. Some meals come with tea but they were out. Sodas are cans. If you are sensitive to msg be careful. Placed an order on doordash for pick up. Ordered 1 lb of shrimp shell on ($20.99) and an order of the 4 piece catfish and fries ($17.25). The first couple of shrimp were good until it got overly salty from the sauce. The shrimp was over cooked and the meat was stuck to the shell. The fried catfish is listed on the menu but once you order it the receipt shows catfish/tilapia so I'm not even sure which is it. Food is absolutely delicious- Crab legs & shrimp combo: tastes good, seasoned very well. You will get a small cup of dipping sauce but I didn't need it. I ordered a 1/2 lb. of crab legs & a 1/2 lb. of shrimp yet when I got my food I had one small cluster of crab legs and I eat seafood so much that I knew it wasn't right and had to send my food back to get my other cluster of crab legs. Make sure you check your food before leaving (I'm not the only person this has happened to there). Also during the week after 2:00 it's cheaper since that's when the crab legs & shrimp special starts. Now I wanted potatoes, sausage, corn & eggs and YES you have to pay for EACH ONE separately as an add on. 1 egg is $2 (just for 1 egg) so my crab legs & shrimp came out to about $34 and that's including my military discount, SO YES THEY ARE EXTREMELY PRICEY! Chicken meal: I had dry lemon pepper chicken was very good, came out nice & hot (they cook to order), my container was so full they have to put a rubber band around the container to keep it closed. The meal comes with fries and I was told that I could substitute the fries which I did for onion rings and in return I never was told there would be a charge of $2 and found out when I looked at my receipt. Onion rings were absolutely delicious! Shrimp fried rice: very good and I didn't even have to search for shrimp (thank goodness). I got the special so it came with a drink and that special is before 2:00. It only took one bite. The very first fried oyster had a very strong fishy odor and taste. Unfortunately, I swallowed instead of spit. The rest of the oysters met their fate in my trash bin. The fish and shrimp was okay, yet it did come with an enormous amount of fries that never seemed to end. It made the amount of fish and shrimp we received seem tiny in comparison. Social distancing is not being enforced at all. Employees were difficult, reluctant to give extra to go containers, some employees not completely knowledgeable, menu not flexible (one employee mentioned one price, told me otherwise when they tried to ring it up, gave me incorrect information on flavors, number of flavors I could order for wings, had to change order couple times because "not allowed"; menu says $1 each extra tilapia for the Catfish platters, but turns out it is not for each but for all since can only make them all tilapia or nothing). 1/2 lb Snow Crab & 1/2 lb Shrimp ($19) 16 Piece Wings (8 Spicy Cajun & 8 Lemon Pepper) ($14) 4 Catfish Fillets & Fries ($11) A la Carte Tilapia Filet ($3) Vegetable Fried Rice (Regularly $6) +Cocktail, Ranch, Seafood Sauces ($1) +Drinks (Regularly $3 each) Everything pretty average, except the crab and shrimp were very flavorful, but considering the price, still nothing exceptional. It was irritating that everything was extra- all sides and sauces was an additional charge. This is notable because as detailed below, the extra sauces were a need- not a compliment- to many of the bland dishes. Wings were meagerly seasoned, with some pieces moist and tender, others dry and in need of those extra condiments! Catfish were impressively sized; flaky and mostly tender in the middle, but sides were dry and overfried. Poured on that extra sauce from the boiled seafood to make it edible. As mentioned earlier, during these times, the greatest complaint was the blatant disregard for social distancing.
