Ok anyone knocking this place doesn't know anything about sushi! We've had it in Hawaii, San Diego, Florida, Long Island, and in Las Vegas. I will put this sushi up against them all! FRESH FRESH FRESH...did I say FRESH?! I definitely had my doubts but the presentation, sauces, originality, and freshness is all there at the top! No two rolls were alike! Sounds hyperbolic, but it's the truth! Oh yeah the drinks are amazing too! Too bad we live 6 hours away or we'd be regulars! -- Cory & Angee celebrating our 20th anniversary!

My two sushi rolls were absolutely delicious. The fish was fresh and they're special ginger habanero sauce. Hate everything perfect. The restaurant was with people, tourist, and locals alike and the service very friendly.

The delicate arch roll - refreshing and full of fresh seafood and a tasty sauce

Amazing sushi in Moab! We walked up and we're seated promptly at the bar. From there we were able to watch the magic happen as each sushi chef concentrated on their specialty - sashimi, rolls, nigiri and other amazing looking foods. We ordered the cucumber salad, half dozen oysters, a couple of their specialty rolls and their large sashimi, a Sapporo and their non alcoholic coco loco cocktail. Everything was super fresh, with new combinations of fish and added sauces or additions that enhanced the flavor of the seafood. For the quality we felt it was a good value, the prices were very reasonable for what we got. The restaurant has a good amount of seating and nice interior. This is a place I would definitely come back to!

I didn't think sushi and Moab went together but I was wrong! Don't skip this for dinner. Service and ambiance were nice. Prices are more than fair considering that everything else in the area has similar prices. Sushi is fresh and tasty. Drinks are good too. You can't go wrong going here!

I will give 5. So this is not Japanese make Japanese sushi restaurant. They have sushi bar with fish case. It's middle of continent. I don't expect many different fish here. As I expected. But they do great job out of limited fish collection. Very hip chill cool sushi restaurant. Ambience is more stylish than typical many Japanese sushi restaurant. It is very popular place to eat for sure. It was great to experience elk sushi We ordered spicy tuna roll, spider roll and elk sushi first. Spicy tuna is simple one just like Japanese tekka-maki, but spicy. And we saw my neighbor was eating chef's special so we ordered that. I will order chef's special again to see wha is up to him that day We needed sushi ! Thank you

The Service was quick, and our table was ready 30 minutes before the reservation time. There's always a line out front. 50% of the tables are reserved for walk-ins. www.sabakusushi.com Only open 5-9pm! Reservations are a must.

Ordered take out as we are arriving into Moab near closing time. We ordered Tom Yum fried rice,…read morepad thai, and stir-fry broccoli. The place was still packed when we arrived. Everything was available for pickup at the promised time, and it was all still hot! This was great after a long day of driving. I especially appreciated that they acknowledged our "nut allergy" note in our order. The food was flavorful and colorful. I would come back again if we stayed in Moab longer. We found parking easily but I can imagine it being busy since it was in the center of the town.

Most of the food are great, tho very spicy for me. Drunken noodle is good and supposedly the most…read morespicy dish (spicy level 3/5) but it is not as spicy as the fried rice (2/5). I really like the tamarind duck. The sauce is sweet and sour. However, I really hate how half the mushroom is cooked and half is not.. This curry is not very different from normal thai curry; the shrimp is cooked well, still has a nice crunch. Satay is normal, sauce is a little too sweet. Papaya salad is the worst dish, way too salty and sour. Green bean texture is too soft but seasoning is on point. Mango sticky rice is not good either: sticky rice is undercooked and mango is sour. I don't like the service here. We were still eating and they came over and just started to take our plates away, and when we still haven't finished the main course, they already asked if we want dessert. Also, they didn't really ask for spicy level of all the dishes and just assume we would go with the same spicy level. Food does come out very quick.

There's nothing like the flavor captured in this mango curry!! It's like if you had a combination…read moreof mango sticky rice with yellow curry that tastes phenomenal with the fresh crunchy vegetables and the tender chicken. Service was great- even though I stopped by close to closing, staff was so friendly and the food was still served steaming hot. There's some lovely open wooden architecture here that make it a great place for conversations of any kind- dates, family outings, a quiet personal meal, or more!

Do NOT get any pork dish here. The server informed me they mainly serve beef or chicken - which…read moremeans the pork stays in the freezer much longer. I got the pork pad thai and it was below average. The pork tasted stale, rancid, and gamey. The dish noodles themselves were just ok. Ambiance was calm, servers were sweet. They only had one chef, didn't have sushi and a number of other dishes when I went in on a Friday afternoon, though. Not sure if it was poor timing or if it is usually like that. Bottom line: This may be a historically local favorite, but it is certainly not up to par with other places. Apparently the quality has gone down over the last couple years, unsure what changed. If you're visiting from out of town and are craving Thai food, go to Arches Thai in Moab, UT - WAY better food for similar price. It is worth the extra drive, trust me.
