there is so much i can say about this wonderful place. unfortunetly i dont live in the area anymore. but once i come back for visits.. this is one of the first places im heading to. i love their pizza. there is something about the sauce that makes it so amazingly delicious. it sweet and tangy and just mouth watering. i love their pepperoni pizza. their pepperoni isnt round like normal pepperoni pizza..it cubed and you get more out of it. i always get the red birch beer. it so good and not many places have this soda anymore. so thats a plus. i always get two pitchers of this stuff.. the service is amazing and the scenery is great. it has this homey feeling to it. when you go to any other pizza parlor..you get the italian scenery but this place doesnt express the italian side.. just homey. they have old wood from a really old barn and put it inside the resturant along with other farm tools. i love how their take out side is seperate from the resturant side..and their take out has the multiple beer seletions. i grew up with this place and i would highly recommend going to this resturant. you will never want to have any other pizza. read more

They have tons of cool events (tastings) going on, great beers on draft + growler fills, and they always have the most hyped releases and seasonal beers around. To the indigenous population of Northeastern Pennsylvania, Sabatini's is a landmark in the realm of pizza. The classic thin crust style is as comforting as kielbasa and pierogies in this area. I prefer my pie from here with extra sauce. I find their pizza sauce savory and is in good contrast to a thin, crispy crust. This is a good time to mention that there have been times that the crust was too crispy for my liking, almost charred or slightly burnt. Nonetheless, those occasions haven't been consistent. Cajun chicken wings. If these three words intrigue you, I implore you to try them here. The sauce is not too spicy but what it lacks in spiciness, it compensates with flavor. The wings came out swimming in this sauce. The excess I find preferable to a miniscule amount and quite better than an overly salty dry rub. The only rub about the wings is that you can't order them in the bottle shop. You can however, order a pizza and enjoy a craft beer in the beautiful Beer Play Plaza(not the actual name) or a cheese tray and craft beer, or craft beer and craft beer. The choice is yours. However, the full menu is only available at the original location that is conveniently located across the parking lot from the bottle shop. It is very easy to lose some time here if you are similar to me and feel like a kid in a candy store while shopping for beer. Part of it is paralysis by choice. The variety is quite expansive and unless you know exactly what you are looking for, be prepared to take a little bit to choose. Make a day of it. Been going here since the 80's. Best pizza in the area in my eyes. Very spacious and welcoming. From the homemade dough to the complete pie. Love, love, love the whole wheat too. If you want to sit in a very relaxed place and or even hold a meeting, my graduating class does, next door is you place. It was once the play plaza. What a transformation. Credit/debit card users beware!!!! I was willing to overlook the bad service, dirty floor, and burnt boneless wings, but they turned out to be the highlights of our visit. When my husband tried to pay our bill with our check card, he was told that they don't accept cards but an ATM was located right by the counter. The ATM machine shorted us $20. The guy who was at the counter (who seemed to be an owner or manager) was unapologetic and said that "they" would refund our money to our account once "they" realized there was a discrepancy within 5 business days. Even worse, we still had to scrape together the remaining cost of the bill. It has been several weeks and our money has not been refunded. The ATM machine did not have a financial institution listed and the ATM receipt was so illegible that we have no recourse. They will never get our business again! read more

Really, Sabatini's is as good as it gets in NEPA. The beer selection is off the charts- bigger than the food menu even, and the serves bring you the proper glass wear per beer selection about 90% of the time. They also host beer school and a home brewing club in the back room. The pizza is really good! They always have a special one during their monthly beer events that are a real treat. My favorite ever had peaches on it- very quarky and very good! In general I order the meat eaters. Depending on who is making it, sometimes it has too much sauce- but their sauce is phenomenal... so its all good. The only thing I have ever ordered that I didnt like was the boneless chicken bites, they seem to be a little over fried or over battered.. i dont know? Other than and occasional sauce overdose and the chicken bites, everything else is great. They are very accommodating with pizza toppings and pasta toppings alike. Staff is attentive, delicious pizza, and like I said- AMAZING beer selection. read more

I really love this place. It's a little bit of a drive for me so I don't go that often, but it's such a great treat. I always get the whole wheat thin crust with extra onions and meatballs. I would love to give this place a 5. The pizza was amazing (more sauce than cheese, veggies, great price for size, and the per topping price was friendly). The service was fast and they have 100s of bottles and several draft beverages to choose from. However, THEY DO NOT TAKE CREDIT CARDS! MEANING, between their ATM charge and my bank charge, I paid an extra $3.75 in fees. I am sure their wait staff get screwed on tips often with this set up; I still tipped my 20% for service and quality (please don't take it out on the wait staff). I get that the owner doesn't want to pay processing fees to credit card companies, but by blatantly passing it on to their customers, I imagine tips for their wait staff aren't near what they should be with the excellent and fast service combined with great pizza and beverage selection. It is the cost of doing business and screwing over your customers and staff to make a buck isn't great business. This was obvious to me when our waitress said, "Sorry, 'they' don't take credit cards, but 'they' have an ATM up front.". read more

i've probably been coming to sabatini's since before i could eat solid food. every time we visit family friends in the area, we need to come here to satisfy the cravings. last night we got the meateater's pizza (sausage, bacon, and ground beef), vegetarian (sweet green and red peppers and mushrooms), and sausage and mushroom. the crust walks the fine line between doughy and crispy, the sauce is on the sweet side, and toppings are generously and evenly distributed across the pie. and the prices aren't bad either - seven of us shared the three pies and a round of beers and it was about $65. you can't beat it. i lurve sabatini's. read more

We ate at Sabatini's yesterday for the first and last time ever. We ordered a medium pie with mushrooms and anchovies. Plenty of mushrooms and I'm still looking for the anchovies. The service was okay;. The pizza was horrible due to the fact that it had been left in the oven too long and the entire crust was burned to a crisp. Prior to the opening of the adjacent "bottle shop"/restaurant, we went to Sab's pizza parlor every couple of months and were mostly quite happy. Then the bottle shop opened, and we've gone there 10+ times since it launched, and have been satisfied customers. Sometimes we've gone just to purchase take-put beer from their amazing selection, sometimes to dine-in and try a few new draft beers with a pizza for dinner. But my experience tonight was totally unacceptable! I suggested to my out-of-town brother that we go to the new "bottle shop"/restaurant for dinner, and shortly after arrival we were booted out because his 5-year-old daughter wasn't allowed on the premises after 5:00 p.m. since she was under the age of twenty-one! That's just ridiculous! It's not like this place is some low-class dive near a college where over-21 people might be passing drinks to under-21 people to circumvent the rules, and as a result the over-21-rule is invoked here. Prior to tonight, I thought this place was definitely family-oriented. But, alas, apparently I am wrong. read more

This is my favorite pepperoni pizza. The pepperoni is diced which I love. The sauce is great and the pizza is made with a consistent quality. We get the pizza as take out all the time and order it half-baked so we can enjoy it with that fresh out of the oven taste. I'm rating this place as 5 stars for the PIZZA. As usual, the pizza was delicious, HOWEVER.............a $3.95 glass of wine (sounds extremely reasonable, huh?) was served LESS than half full...literally 3 swallows. When paying, I asked the cashier about this. His first response was like a memorized monologue: "You'd pay $6.95 at such and such; you'd pay so much at such and such...etc" Obviously, he'd been questioned about this before; his response flew off of his tongue. Etiquette states to fill the wine glass 3/4 full.The cashier told me that Sabatinis uses a shot glass and measures 3 shots of wine into the glass, that's their standard. Suggest that they should get smaller glasses or double the amount of wine and raise the price accordingly. read more

Do you like pizza and beer? If you answered Yes, this is the perfect place! I'm reviewing the bottle shop/bar. It's a large warehouse that has a long bar and various wood slab tables. There's a few wood pergolas overhead that gives it an outdoor feel. The other half of the space is the bottle shop which for any beer drinker is a must visit. They have one of the largest selections in the northeast and following them on Facebook/Instagram will inform you of the newest arrivals. If you happen to want a beer or bottle from the bottle shop area, you can bring it over to your table and they will chill it if needed so you can enjoy your favorite beer if you can't find something on the 24 draft beer list. They offer outstanding craft beer selections and always adding new beer. They have various glass size options to fit anyone's needs or to try a small sample before getting a full pint or larger. Don't forget about the pizza! They have great pizza. Pizza comes in plain, specialty or build your own options. It's thin crust but delicious! read more

Sabitini's have great beers but tonight's experience was uncalled for. We ordered a plain medium pizza even before we ordered our drinks. After an hour without getting the pizza, we questioned the waitress because I noticed that a table that came in about 10 minutes after us got their pizza. Now I do realize that it was a Friday night but then 2 more tables got pizza before us. We questioned the wait staff 4 times regarding our pizza order. At one point, we were told that the bartender took the pizza for someone at the bar (probably to secure a good tip from the customer). After 1 hour & 45 minutes, we got our pizza. We tipped the waitress (18% tip) & then proceeded into the their beer store. Picked up a bottle of beer with a sticker price of $10. When we got to the register to buy it, we were told that it was priced incorrectly. The clerk checked to see if we should pay the sticker price or the price that it was being changed to (which was now $15). We were told that we had to pay the $15 price. So they did not honor the customer because of their mistake. Needless to say, after the pizza experience, we didn't buy the bottle of beer. As a good gesture of customer service, we probably should have even gotten the pizza for free. Instead we waited almost 2 hours for a plain pizza & were asked to pay a 50% increase on a bottle of beer because they made a mistake. Totally uncalled for. We probably will never go back. read more

Wonderful place! Very homey feel, our waiter/chef was so sweet and orderly -got our pizza in no time! Ordered a large pie (12 slices approx. 16") with extra sauce mushroom and pepperoni and it was phenomenal, wish I could've eaten the whole thing myself! Sweet flavorful sauce and crunchy thin crust was a perfect combo. Did try any but looked like they had a great selection of beer as well! Sabatini's is Heaven on Earth. The bar is spectacular inside; recently renovated, clean, and beautiful. The staff and owner are both always very kind and extremely knowledgeable about the items that they sell. They hands down the best craft beer selection within a 50 mile radius. Sabatini's bar only sells pizzas and gourmet cheese which is perfect and more than enough. If you're in the mood for anything besides pizza and cheese, just walk 10 feet to Sabatini's full restaurant. This spot is absolutely perfect to go on a date, catch up with a group of friends, or just shop for unique to-go brews. There's often live entertainment and specials on different days, like Taco Tuesdays and Sunday brunch. Sabatini's is a MUST!!! read more
