the service was complete sh*t. i was so pissed by the end of the night because we were in there for 2 hours. the waiter was nice enough but he was so lazy and the food didn't come out for almost an hour! other diners who arrived AFTER us ate first! They didn't pack our left overs for us, but they did for other tables...wtf? and we had to help them clear the tables, horrible horrible horrible service. food was actually really good, which is a pity because service is an extremely important part of a patron's dining experience and if you can't provide that to your customers, don't expect them to come back. read more

I was really disappointed. I ordered to go and was told the Arroz con Pollo came with beans and plantains. I got the plantains, but no beans. Also, the sausage in the rice looks and tastes like cheap hotdog, not the flavorful style sausage i was expecting. The flavor of the dish was still decent but i was turned off by now. I also ordered the chorizo con arepa. The arepa was rock solid and cold and smelled like plastic. Very disappointed in this place. We've been going to this restaurant for years, probably since it opened. It never disappoints. Unfortunately, in the past year, they have gone downhill. First, they rarely answer their phones to order ahead. This has been going on for months. This past Saturday my husband and I stopped by for dinner and were surprised to see the place empty on a Saturday night. There were 2 other tables occupied. Whenever we've been there on a Saturday we would have to wait or it was busier. We sit down and order drinks. Not once did we receive water and our salad like they normally do. We get our food and my husband's steak was full of fat. After cutting up the fat he was left with nothing and the taste was blah. We ask the waiter if we could have the skirt steak instead and showed him all the fat we cut, and he says it will cost us an additional $12, we said no problem. We ate our food, and still no water. The salad came with our food. I eventually had to ask for water and when I get it, there was a bunch of floating stuff on the bottom. I immediately left it on the table. We get our check and were surprised to see that the steak my husband ordered was $33 plus they added the $12 for the skirt steak which means it was $45 for a skirt steak. That is insane! The last we remembered it being was about $30i-sh. I understand prices have been raised everywhere, but $45 for a skirt steak. The right thing for them to have done was not charge us the additional $13 since the first steak was not to our liking. Most restaurants that is what they do, even the most expensive ones that we have been to where we don't like something they will either take it off the check, or not charge extra. The only thing that did not disappoint were the empanadas and the red sangria. Sorry, but they have lost my business. I will attempt the one in Massapequa to see if it's any better. read more

Wow!! Awesome place!! They are very very busy but the food is well worth the wait. I order the langostines al ajillo and the sauce was amazing!! The bf ordered salmon asado which was also delicious. The plates did take a while to be served which is the only reason why I did not give this place 5 stars. I will definitely be coming here again. YUM!! read more

I've been coming to this restaurant many times and I have always been treated with good customer service and today the waitress that attended us only came to the table once to check if our table was doing good. We had to ask her to get our drinks ( the first drink ) and then after I finished my water she never even came to ask if I would like more water or anything . Very clean restaurant. Take out for Empanadas were great. Went for dinner on 11/4 for the first time and won't be going back. Charged us $70.00 for dinner for two and for 4 empanadas. Took 20-30 minutes for them to serve us. Breaded steak was burnt and it looked like it was frozen and then fried. Steak piece was a thin a roast beef slice breaded. My son's breaded chicken breast was dry, he didn't eat it. Rice and beans were served 5 mins. after the burnt steak was served. My husband called the waitress and informed her to take it back. She apologized and told manager, but no good customer service action was taken. Switched for a 1/4 of dark chicken, not good as well. Basic!!! White rice was crudo, not fully cooked. This is not the Columbian Spanish experience we thought we were going to have. My husband is trying to get his money credited from American Express which is the first time he's ever requested a refund for dinner. read more

Have been coming to this place for years .Moved away for 2 yrs always thought of this restaurant.So the minute I moved couldn't wait.Went in couldn't wait for guacamole. They were out . Food was ok.Just feels like something missing.Just not the same .Service was ok. I ordered food from this plus thru uber eats. I waited over two hours and my ordered was then cancelled, Tried to call the restaurant but couldn't because the number was not going thru. Uber help center could only tell me that the order was not available to be delivered, So I sit here writing this with extreme anger and hunger after 10pm at night. After this treatment, my one wish is that this restaurant is closed down for good and that is why they couldn't deliver. My husband and I were in Levittown and spotted this place and decided to check it out. We are so glad we did! We were immediately welcomed in and brought to a table. The restaurant was clean, the serving staff was very friendly and brought us our drinks right away. I had grilled chicken and my husband ordered a mixed plate of a variety of meat, grilled potatoes and yucca. The grilled chicken was juicy and perfectly cooked, and the homemade medium- hot sauce on the table was great. My husband enjoyed everything on his plate, except for the blood sausage. Waited over an HOUR when our Food finally comes (cold mind you) out after we complained from seeing tables that got there AFTER us get their main courses and we hadn't even gotten our appetizers. Waitress ignored us as the manager hid behind the bar and never even came to apologize or acknowledge the multiple issues we had. No water, no utensils come on these are the basics people! I am a huge fan of this place! The food was served so quickly and it was delicious. We were seated right away, the busboys are very welcoming and fun. My appetizer came out within 7 minutes of ordering it, salads came out at an appropriate time preceding the meal. The meal was not so hot or cold and was cooked just fine. I got the number 43-forgot what it was called- I recommend it! My friend got the number 12 and it was just as delicious. It's a chill restaurant, perfect for a cute summer night date. Oh wow. First time trying Columbian food and I am hooked. Place is in a cosy little corner and hard to spot but it is great. The music, the decor, the service and the food are all great. To start this place was good all around no complaints Normally my family and i go to this place all the way in Astoria Queens, but on this day i really didn't want to make the trip into Queens for many reason none being a negative to the place itself About Sabor a Columbia despite it being a little small and a little busy we sat quickly The waiters are all great guys myself would rather have a hot female waiter lol. But these guys are all great our main waiter was nice and friendly made us feel at home and comfortable. One of us had questions about a plate and he was more then happy to explain we requested our son's plate come out ASAP and he did his best to accommodate. My wife had order this plate with Tostones and Guacamole that was a nice plate to start with. Then main course i can't tell you exactly what all ordered but i do know there was no complaints. I ordered Bistec a Caballo en Salsa Criolla and have to say it was different but better at the same time. My father ordered Bandeja which he pretty much orders any time we go to a Colombian place he loved his plate. My wife order a plate similar to mine and she loved it as well. The food was too much to touch dessert but sure next time will save room. All in all have to say the food and services was good and don't think it could have been any better will return many more times in the future. read more

Disappointed on this experience. The chicharron was horrible and they should be ashamed to serve and actually charge for it. All flat no meat at all and we ordered 3 plates of pork chicharron completely unetible. Their plates are overpriced for the quality that they are serving. How can you serve the typical bandeja with a hard boiled egg instead of the regular fried egg ???? Also, never served the avocado on the plate....really..... Definitely would never return. read more

The Columbian food here is very flavorful. The pechuga apanada (number 15 on the menu) is something I highly recommend. A generous portion of chicken, served with rice, beans, a corn cake, a salad, and maduros. You definitely will need a doggy bag. Order the creamy garlic sauce on the side, it is delicious! Also the appetizer tostones con guacamole is huge, enough for someone who is not very hungry to eat as an entrée. The dessert menu doesn't have a large selection, so I would just stick to main courses and appetizers. read more
